Discover Armenia
Visiting Armenia was a soul-stirring experience filled with warmth and inspiration at every turn. From the ancient monasteries perched majestically atop rugged mountains to the bustling markets brimming with colorful spices and crafts, Armenia captivated me with its rich history and vibrant culture. The heartfelt hospitality of the locals, eager to share their traditions and stories, left an indelible mark on my journey. Exploring the serene shores of Lake Sevan and wandering through the cobblestone streets of Yerevan, I felt a profound connection to this land of enduring resilience and timeless beauty. Armenia, with its picturesque landscapes and welcoming spirit, truly embodies a place where history meets hope, making it an unforgettable destination.#historicallandmarks #trip #localguides #temples

Yerevan is a beautiful city you must visit.
If you are a bread 🍞 type of a person you will love bread shops in Yerevan. I love especially this one because I love bread, butter and honey: tree together taste like heaven. 😍
You will love Armenian natural honey. 🤤

Hidden places of Yerevan at fall
Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world. So, it is also one of the most interesting and beautiful cities in the world!
I love walking around the city at fall. 🍂 Especially along the narrow streets and lanes lost on the outskirts of the city. One of my favorite things to do whenever I am in the town is to enjoy the sunset from the balcony of my family house. 🌇
If you are in Yerevan or planning to visit Yerevan Please, don’t forget to look at the sky especially in the evening! I have never seen such beautiful sunsets anywhere else in the world. When the sun has already set you’ll be amazed by the stars in the sky 🌌

Incourt Tennis Club - Yerevan
Incourt Tennis Club is a tennis 🎾 club in Yerevan where I was playing at least for twice a week.
Highly recommending to give it a try whether you want to have some fun with friends or family or if you want to have a professional trainer and learn how to actually play tennis. Incourt Tennis Club is the place where you can do both!
The best thing about this place is that there is also a gym and a swimming pool, as well as a cafe where you can enjoy coffee or a cold milkshake on a hot sunny day.
Another thing what I really liked about this place is the location - it is literally located next to the Dalma Garden Mall where you can do a lot of things starting from shopping all the way to having a nice dinner after playing tennis.
Address: Tsitsernakaberd highway 7/1, Yerevan, Armenia.

🇦🇲Armenia|A country of faith that subverted my understanding
Before I came to Armenia, my understanding of Armenia was limited to the misery and darkness of thousands of years of catastrophe, but after I came to Yerevan, this country completely overturned my impression of it❗️
Armenia🇦🇲 is located between the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, at the foot of Mount Ararat where Noah's Ark docked. Nowadays, Yerevan has fashion and art, and the Soviet atmosphere can be seen everywhere, and the mysterious medieval monasteries, beautiful cross stones and Lake Sevan around Yerevan are even more charming❤️
🔵City Walk🔵1-2 days🔵
🔸Yerevan Cascade Yerevan Grand Staircase (Picture 2-5)
Visiting Yerevan without going to the Yerevan Stairs is like going to Paris without going to the Eiffel Tower🗼. The entire staircase is actually a modern art exhibition hall, divided into five floors, and you can take the escalator up. Each floor has an indoor exhibition hall that presents modern art works such as sculptures and paintings by local Armenian artists. Outside the stairs, each level has creative fountains and sculptures full of artistic spirit👍🏻
🌟Yerevan Opera House (Picture 15)
The Yerevan Opera House and France Square are actually a crossroads. The statue of the French painter erected in the center of the circular square was a gift donated by the French government and was created by the famous Auguste Rodin.
🔸Echmiadzin Cathedral Echmiadzin⛪️ (Picture 8-11)
❤️The earliest church in the world, which has stood for more than 1,700 years. The museum in the cathedral houses many legendary and mythical treasures, including fragments of Noah's Ark and fragments of the cross riveted to Jesus, etc.
🚗Transportation: Taking a taxi from Yandex in the city costs about 💰2400 drams (approximately 42 RMB) and it is worth a visit👍🏻
🔸Saint Gayane Church (Picture 12)
Right next to the Etchmiadzin Church, I was so lucky to meet a couple holding a wedding that day. They enthusiastically took photos with us and gave us lucky chocolates and small gifts🎁Every corner is filled with tranquility and sanctity😇
🔸Republic Square Republic Square (Picture 13-14)
The exterior walls of many buildings throughout the square are pink. As night falls, the commercial street bars and restaurants are very lively. Although Armenia's economic aggregate is not large, the life of the locals is still very exquisite, the city is clean and tidy, and the public security is also very good.
🟠Surrounding tour🟠
There are many famous and unique monasteries scattered around Armenia⛪️
One-day tour with travel agency "Hyru" 💰9900 drams (approximately SGD 35)
Itinerary👉🏻Lake Sevan--Dilijan town (short stop)--Goshavank Monastery--Haghartsin Monastery
🌟Sevan Lake🌊 (Picture 6-7)
Blue tears of the Caucasus💧
SEVANAVANK Monastery Sevan means "black temple", and Lake Sevan is also named after this. Picturesque all seasons🎨
🌟Dilijan Town (Picture 17)
One of the oldest towns in Armenia, although it was damaged in the earthquake, it is now recovering well. There are many interesting sculptures, the people in the town are also very smart, and there are many craftsmen producing various gadgets.
🌟Goshavank Monastery (Picture 16 on top)
A typical example of architecture from the 12th to 13th centuries, it was built by medieval Armenian rulers.
🌟Haghartsin Monastery (picture 16 below)
The ancient Byzantine monastery was an important center of learning during the Kiurikian dynasty (10th-13th centuries). The design of the conical roof of the monastery is also an outstanding representative of Armenian religious architecture from the 10th to 13th centuries.
✔️Armenia is the last stop in the Caucasus. I have so much to say. Faith and culture have never changed due to different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. On the contrary, every time they know that I am Chinese, they will be in awe🫡 and say: China is the best👍🏻I instantly broke my guard. How grateful I am to the great motherland and world peace for allowing me to feel the beauty and warmth of this world❤️

Encountered a group of students and Iranian friends at the Grand Staircase of Yerevan
We talked and laughed and exchanged our stories with each other in English😄
That day happens to be my birthday🎂2024/2/17
The best birthday gift is that I understand that loving and being loved are both gifts from God🙏
Thank you❤️Caucasus Thank you❤️Armenia🇦🇲

Armenia is suitable for lying flat and emptying
Armenia is also a country that exempts us from visas. The overall atmosphere here is good and it is relatively friendly to the Chinese. But prices are not cheap, so prepare yourself mentally before going.
🚉Transportation guide:
There is no direct flight. It is recommended to fly to Tbilisi, Georgia, and then transfer to Armenia by bus or train.
🗓Itinerary:
Day1: Yerevan Republic Square-Yerevan Stairs-Khor Virap
Day2: Lake Sevan
📝Note tips:
English is not easy to use here. It is recommended to download translation software first.
You can buy phone cards in the city. It is more expensive to buy them at the airport. It is best to go to the city for currency exchange. If you go to the airport, you can use Visa card to withdraw cash. In the city, you can withdraw cash with ACBA Bank UnionPay card without any handling fee.

Not a tennis ball but a fruit
I SAW THIS STRANGE FRUIT WHILE I WAS TAKING A TROLL IN ONE OF THE PARKS IN YEREVAN ARMENIA. I WAS VERY SURPRISED TO SEE IT, IT LOOKED LIKE A TENNIS BALL. I LEARNED THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY AN OSAGE ORANGE, THIS TREE BEARS ORANGE - SIZED FRUIT, A LURID NEON GREEN IN COLOUR, HIGH UP IN THE TREE.
THE AUTUMN WINDS OFTEN BRING THE FRUITS DOWN SO
THE GRASS BENEATH BECOMES LITTERED WITH THESE LARGE, DEEPLY WRINKLED, GREEN TENNIS BALLS, OR AS THE HORTICULTURAL STAFF CALL THEM, PICKLED GARDENERS BRAINS!

Enjoy the moment!
Where: Extra Virgin Italian Restaurant, Saryan street, Yerevan, Armenia
Located on one of the nice and busiest streets of Yerevan this restaurant is worth to visit. The environment of this restaurant is great. The quotes everywhere remind you to enjoy the moment, enjoy the present. Food is delicious and looks great. The Italian old music is a big plus as it creates more cozy atmosphere.

Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park
Where: Yerevan, Armenia
This is the great place to spend with kids. There are water fountains in the park where kids can play and have fun. All the fountains run from 11 am till midnight daily. A water arch with 30 water jets was installed in the park. Seems this was the favorite part for kids.
Drinking water fountains are located both at the beginning and at the end of the park. The are is surrounded by trees and bushes. There are more than 350 trees of 70 species in the park.
This could be the perfect place to end the day with a walk.

Yerevan
Yerevan is the capital and largest city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Situated along the Hrazdan River, Yerevan is the administrative, cultural, and industrial center of the country. It has been the capital since 1918, the fourteenth in the history of Armenia and the seventh located in or around the Ararat Plain. The city also serves as the seat of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese, which is the largest diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the oldest dioceses in the world.
The history of Yerevan dates back to the 8th century BCE, with the founding of the fortress of Erebuni in 782 BCE by King Argishti I of Urartu at the western extreme of the Ararat Plain.

Church of St. Astvatsatsin
One of my favorite churches in Armenia ♥️
it is located in Nork district in Yerevan, Armenia. As it is located not far from my family house 🏡 I’ve been here countless times since I was a child 👦
It is a relatively small but very beautiful church. ⛪️ It was destroyed by an earthquake in 1679 and then was rebuilt at the beginning of 20th sanctuary.
Then it was in a very bad state as many other churches during the Soviet era. 😔 After Armenia became independent in 1991 🇦🇲 residents started reconstruction of the church ⛪️ it was opened in 1995 to the public once again.

Spring in Yerevan
Yerevan is a very beautiful city! It is also my home town, well maybe it is the reason why I love it so much ♥️
Spring in Yerevan is just so magical 🍃
Everything is coming back to live, almost every corner of the city is blooming 🌸
After long cold and dark winter days it is very pleasing to feel the warmth of the sunlight 🌞see all the colors all over you 🌈🌳
Spring air in Yerevan is especially fresh, you constantly smell the smells of flowering plants.
I really love how it smells in our garden in spring.
The smell of the blossoming apricot tree is simply amazing in the evenings during 🌅 making it even more special.

Holy Mother of God Church, Nork-Marash
Holy Mother of God Church, Nork-Marash was destroyed by the disastrous earthquake of 1679 but then it was restored, in 1930s the church became, the victim of the religion-persecuting policy of USSR. even though the couch was ruined a lot of people from all over Armenia were still visiting it.
After Armenia declared independence in 1991 residents of Nork district started the reconstruction of the church. In 1995 reconstruction was completed and since then the church is open for visitors.
I especially love this church because our family house is located not far from the church and I was visiting it with my family quite often when I was a child. Also me and my siblings were baptized in this church.

Yerevan - city I love and Miss the most
A fact you probably didn't know: Yerevan was founded in 782 BCE and it is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, with a history of 2800 years. The city itself is 29 years older than Rome.♥️
As I was born in Yerevan and lived there most of my childhood and teenage years. I think I know almost every corner of the city and I love and miss it very much.
I haven’t been there already for about 4 years and now I’m feeling extremely homesick so I decided to share this post.
In the pictures you see the beautiful architecture of the city. Picture N3 was taken at the republic square which is one of my favorite places in the city.
