Share: Here's why I think VIRAC Catanduanes is the most beautiful place I have ever visited in the Philippines. The place is like a living postcard. I think Catanduanes is one of the most underrated place in the Philippines. I visited last 2021 and I was blown away how beautiful, untouched and Instagram-worthy the tourist spots are. I am not joking when I say that Catanduanes is like Batanes, New Zealand, Taiwan, Boracay and Siargao combined into one. Also, the Catanduanos are some of the kindest people I have met during my travels. What to see: In Pandan, Catanduanes - From Virac, ride a van going to Pandan, travel is 3-4 hrs. Then, you can hire a habal to visit the tourist spots. 1. Tuwad-Tuwadan Lagoon - Not for the faint of heart. You can jump into the most beautiful blue color of Pacific ocean while the waves are rolling in. 2. Cagnipa Rolling Hills - New Zealand and Batanes feels. Feels like you're in another country. It's just so stunning. 3. Hiyop Rolling Hills - Feels like you're in Batanes but there's a nearby white beach! Also, Pandan is just really pretty. So many tourist spots. In Virac and vicinity 1. Binurong Point - Jaw dropping sights and one of the best views I have seen in the country. The 30-minute hike is worth it. 2. Bote Lighthouse - The best view of Pacific Ocean. It's a difficult trek, but the viewsyof Pacific Ocean is so beautiful. 3. Puraran Beach Resort - Surfing area and its actually have an edge at Cloud 9 in Siargao, as it has white sand. 4. Twin Rock Beach Resort - Boracay and El Nido rolled into one. The white sand is so fine. 5. Bato Church - One of the most beautiful church I have seen in the country. And so many many more! The three days I spent on Catanduanes is so kulang.. The place is like so blessed with so many stunning natural attractions. I am from Palawan and I can say that if you're fan of nature, then Catanduanes can give my province a run for the money. Simply put, Catanduanes is a must visit for any Filipino tourist.
