Discover Zvartnots
This is a great historical site of Zvartnots temple. Truly magical place with secrets to be discovered. It is better to take a tour guide to learn the history and uncovered fact of this ancient temple. There is a small museum on the site where you can see in details how this temple looked like when it was build, including some artifacts that were found during archeological excavations. The place has great outdoor space where you can enjoy the fruit garden all around the temple and sunshine. #zvartnots

Etchmiadzin Cathedral is the first church in Armenia, built between 301-303, and is considered the oldest cathedral in the world. The large and wide dome patterns and murals intersect, with crystal lights hanging high, very gorgeous.
There are two monasteries in Etchmiadzin, not far apart.
It is recommended to take a car to the end to Etchmiadzin Monastery, which is the oldest cathedral in the world.
There are not many people in this monastery, and it is easy to take beautiful photos. When we went, something was going on there, I didn't quite understand.
The Vatican of Armenia - Etchmiadzin Cathedral
Etchmiadzin Cathedral was built in 301-303, it is the first cathedral in Armenia, the main church of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the residence of the Armenian Patriarch, it is the oldest cathedral in the world, known as the 'Vatican of Armenia'. The church was severely damaged later and was almost completely rebuilt in its current form in 483.
Etchmiadzin Cathedral houses the legendary spear that pierced Jesus and fragments of Noah's Ark.
Unfortunately, the church is currently under repair and is not open. At present, only the exquisite murals and carvings at the entrance can be seen. The serpentine carving represents wisdom, and there are murals of six-winged angels. There are some tombstones on the open space outside the church, which are different from the general tombstones with two years of birth and death. There are three years on them, and the middle year is the year when the tomb owner was baptized and became a Christian.
