[Nara] Get a head start on spring! Early-blooming cherry blossom spots🌸
Around the Tenrikyo Association Headquarters in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture, there are about 20,000 cherry trees of 13 varieties, and they start blooming in early March, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms early✨
Cherry trees line the road from Tenri Station to Tenrikyo Headquarters and around the headquarters building💁
It's a very beautiful place, but there are relatively few people, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at your own pace✨
There is a cherry blossom map on the Tenrikyo Doyusha website that shows the cherry blossom varieties, expected flowering times, and locations, so it is recommended to take a walk using the map as a reference🌸
For real-time flowering information, you can check the Instagram of "Tenri Sakura Walk"💁

Chogakuji Temple in Tenri.
I visited Chogakuji, a historic Buddhist temple in Tenri dating back to the 8th century. The temple is situated amidst picturesque nature and is characterized by its serene atmosphere and traditional wooden structures. During my visit, I enjoyed wandering through the tranquil gardens and viewing ancient Buddhist statues that reflect the rich cultural heritage. There was also an opportunity to meditate and rest in an environment filled with spirituality and peace. It was an unforgettable experience that added much contemplation and inner tranquility to my life.
