The cheapest restaurant I've ever eaten at. In an alley on Kote Afkhazi Street, not far from Freedom Square. The door is very inconspicuous, with a handwritten whiteboard standing at the door. It is a family kitchen run by an elderly couple, with a very homely and authentic taste. Opens at 3 pm.
Where to stay
Stay in the old town area, it is very convenient to walk around the attractions. We stayed at the Mercure, which was very convenient. You can also choose Courtyard or Marriott.

Chronicle of Georgia Monument
Overlooking the "Tbilisi Sea", also known as the "Georgian Stonehenge", it is a great place for photos, consisting of 16 bronze pillars, each 35 meters high. From here, you can also enjoy the beautiful view of the "Tbilisi Sea".
Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral
This is not a very old church, built between 1995 and 2004, but it is the Eastern Orthodox Church built in Georgia, and it is a famous religious building in the Caucasus.
Old Tbilisi
Located on the Silk Road between Europe and Asia, it blends various different cultures. The most unique is the Georgian church building. There are mosques, synagogues, Armenian Christian churches and Roman Catholic churches in the city, the ancient city of Tbilisi, the Metkhi Church built in the 12th century, the ancient city castle, shops selling carpets and souvenirs, and the "Peace Bridge" across the river in the city.
Narikala Fortress Take the old city cable car up the mountain, overlooking the entire city and enjoy the unique scenery of Tbilisi.
Mother of Georgia Built after World War II, this majestic statue faces the ancient city. She holds her wrist in her left hand and a sword in her right hand, symbolizing the great victory of Georgia's anti-fascist war and becoming a symbol of the city.
Check in at the popular attraction Puppet Clock Tower The clock tower next to the puppet theater, every hour the small door on the top of the building will open and a puppet angel will slowly walk out from behind the door, ring the bell and then turn back inside.

Visa-free countries for spontaneous trips︱Find the lamp left by God in Tbilisi
⭐A church made of pure gold
⭐A hidden gem with beautiful scenery and few people, free of charge
.
👀Recommended reasons>
In Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, whether it is day or night, you can see this golden-domed church shining brightly from any angle in the city, like a lamp emitting a peaceful glow... This is the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, the largest church ever built in Georgia since its independence from the Soviet Union. Its 7.5-meter-high glittering dome is made of pure gold donated spontaneously by the citizens. It can be said that this church is the soul of Georgia.
.
👣Travel guide>
Although it seems close, it is far away. The city of Tbilisi is built along the mountains on both sides of the Kura River. Navigating and walking all the way, you need to walk a long slope, making you breathless.
.
Travel should be a process of encountering surprises. So, we slow down, enjoy the exotic houses along the way, casually pick raspberries from the roadside, eating them as we go. The ripe fruits are red and purple, bursting with juice in the mouth, sweet and refreshing... This is how we happily walk up the slope.
.
Under the sunlight, the dazzling golden dome emerges, magnificent and shocking. The church is surrounded by walls. Walking through the gate, a flat avenue leads straight to the high steps under the church. Looking up at the church, it seems to float in the blue sky, reflecting the sunlight from heaven. There are not many people here, making it even more spacious. Walking up the high steps, coming closer, you need to look up even more. Striding across the open space in front of the church, bathing in the light from God...
.

In Tbilisi, get off at Avlabari metro station, navigate and walk along the slope for about 20 minutes

The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi
A city built in the 4th century, it has gone through many hardships, but it still remains the capital of the country. After all, it is in the Caucasus region, and some of the architectural styles here still retain the Byzantine style. Of course, with the development of the city, inevitably some modern style buildings will be constructed.
I suddenly recall a text from my school days called 'The Tbilisi Underground Printing House', which is probably my earliest impression of Tbilisi.
Speaking of Georgia, one cannot fail to mention the wine. When the grape harvest season arrives, every household can hardly wait to make wine, so they press the grapes directly into juice and take it home to drink.

A person went to Georgia for a trip, and the momentum was too great
Recalling the days and nights of traveling in Georgia
Looking at the photos, I really want to go back to those leisurely days
The first time I was surrounded by a group of large Caucasian dogs, I was very scared, but the dogs completely ignored my existence
The first time I walked into a bar in Tbilisi, I was a bit restrained but was quickly infected by the super nice atmosphere and made some good friends
The first time I went hiking in the mountains alone, I wanted to accompany the Koreans who hitchhiked. As a result, the physical disparity, I walked halfway alone and shouted help at the passing Caucasian young man on horseback
The first time I visited a traditional winery, I drank one cup after another until I was dizzy, and everyone sang and danced together
Georgia
Just as I imagined before I came
Snowy mountains, red wine, churches
And it's not what I imagined
Streets full of ups and downs, coffee shops that haven't opened at 10 in the morning, the cold air in the mountains, and the warm and comfortable people I met
Looking forward to seeing you next time

Tbilisi citywalk|A landmark church not to be missed
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, and it is generally chosen here to fly from the country to Georgia.
Now Georgia is finally visa-free, and you can go with your passport.
When you come to Tbilisi citywalk, you can't miss the landmark building, the Holy Trinity Church. The Holy Trinity Church covers a large area, including the square, the main building, and the bell tower, etc. The church is open for free visits, you can enter from 10:00 to 22:00. This is an Orthodox church, but when entering the main church, women need to wrap their heads and not expose their skin, and men are required to have trousers over their knees.
The biggest feeling after playing a round in Georgia is that there are no tickets for the attractions here, except for the "snow tickets" for the Gudauri skiing cable car, and there are no such fees, no wonder Georgia is really a high cost-effective tourist destination.
🌟In addition, recommended cities in Georgia that must be visited for the first time:
1、Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, known as "God's Back Garden"! Recommended attractions include the Peace Bridge, the Holy Trinity Church, the Dry Bridge Market, the Mother Fortress, the Metekhi Church, etc. (It is recommended to reserve 3-4 days for play)
2、Kazbek, a small village under the Caucasus Mountains and Mount Kazbek, here is the "closest to heaven" Holy Trinity Church, independent of the world, the village is quiet and beautiful, there are friendly Caucasian dogs everywhere. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)
3、Gudauri, this is a world-class skiing resort, with naturally thrilling ski trails and waist-deep powder snow, the quality of the snow is so good that falling is like falling in soft cotton. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)
4、Sighnaghi, this is the birthplace of the world's red wine, super beautiful red wine has a transaction for less than a hundred yuan, the town is quiet and pleasant, very suitable for a slightly drunk vacation. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)

Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral
The Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral can be said to be one of the landmarks of this city. It is the largest Orthodox church in Georgia and even the entire Caucasus region. Even on a global scale, its size ranks among the top.
The Holy Trinity Cathedral is built on Elia Hill, which is located in the old Avlabari district, above the left bank of the Kura River. The church belongs to the same sect as Russia, both are Orthodox. However, the onion top of the Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral has been improved. From the outside, countless layers of buildings are stacked up, like a three-dimensional folding painting. Tourists come here more to appreciate religious art and architectural art.

Tbilisi, a city perfect to walk around
The capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi is a bohemian paradise. The vibrant city is known for its surrounding mountains, its traditional Old Town, narrow streets with boutique shops, and ancient Eurasian crossroads. With landmarks like the 17th century Narikala Fortress, and many 4th-7th century cathedrals, and the modern avant-garde Bridge of Peace just a hop-skip away, the city is a perfect mix of old and new. The sulfur bath is one of the must do thing in tblisi, it’s very very refreshing.

Tbilisi chill time
I had quite good time in Tbilisi. As we all know it’s origin of wine. I had wine for every meals I had. There were some private wine shops offering wine taste which is pretty awesome. The flea dry bridge market was my highlight as you may find lots of Soviet era pins passports and banknotes etc. as well as some old cameras. You will need to take cabin train to the top of hill to visit Tbilisi tv tower. The view from the top was beautiful but honestly nothing much but commercials up the hill.

Short hiking in Tbilisi
First of all, I recommend you to start hiking from getting to Mother of Georgia. Find steps near Betlemi Chirch and go up ⬆️
After the monument go to the side of Kura river and enjoy the view! Soon you will be next to the next place - Chirch of the St Nicholas. Newly built in 1996–1997, it replaces the original 13th-century church that was destroyed in a fire.
Also you will see Narikala fortress. The fortress consists of two walled sections on a steep hill between the sulphur baths and the botanical gardens of Tbilisi.

Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi
Welcome to the main church not only of Tbilisi, but of the whole of Georgia! This church is better known in Georgian as Sameba and was built in 2004 and it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area.
The building looks simply colossal and can be seen from almost any hill in Tbilisi.
Visiting tips: Church attendance is free, but you must dress appropriately. Also next to the church there is a small restaurant of the Lagidze chain with very tasty beverages. I advise you to try it!

Tbilisi Funicular Railway
If you like unusual transport and one day find yourself in the capital of Georgia, then be sure to take a ride on the local funicular that goes from the city center to the top of Mtatsminda Mountain.
Tips for visiting: to ride the Tbilisi Funicular Railway, you need a 2 GEL plastic card (sold at the ticket office) on which you then add credit for your rides (and any rides in the Mtatsminda amusement park). The funicular train price is 8 GEL (3 USD) from 09:00 till midnight. I advise you to go up using the funicular, and go down on foot, there is a convenient staircase going down, from which there are excellent views!

Beautiful panorama of Tbilisi
It was an incredible evening!
I took the cable car to the top of Mount Mtatsminda and saw the panorama of the capital of Georgia. Despite the fact that I was already here this morning - now the city looked completely different.
The Freedom Bridge, the Presidential Palace and the beautiful backlit Georgian churches looked especially good!
Tips for visiting: the cable car operates from 8 am to 10 pm. One way fare - 3 Georgian Lari (about 1.2 USD)

True Georgian authentic culture
There is an amazing beautiful park around the biggest church in city Tbilisi, Georgia. The magnificent stairs leading to church make it feel like pilgrimage. There is a beautiful pond with birds which is quite unusual. The church itself is smaller than I thought, but the ceilings are extremely high which gives it a feeling of reaching the sky. Gorgeous place!

Old Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia. I found this city charming. Regardless of cold and dust, Tbilisi is yet wonderful to visit.
We first started the day at They Said Book cafe which had great cafe vibe. Then we went to famous clock tower where every tourist has to visit. But for me, it was just a clock. After that we walked around city center, sulfur baht, and underground market.
At night, we stopped at Maspinzelo restaurant. The food was very good. But we had to wait half and hour to be seated. And the staffs were neither friendly or helpful.
What I love most about Tbilisi was street cats and dogs because they are super adorable and friendly.

Castle with best view of Tbilisi
After such a long flight, we finally arrived in Tbilisi. We went straight to Narikala castle fearing the sun would go down.
It was on the top of the hill therefore the driver must have excellent driving skill to reach the top.
The view was absolutely beautiful but there was so much dust (PM2.5) so the view was not so clear, but acceptable.
I think this place offered the best view of Tbilisi.
Entrance fee: None
Parking: available

Carved stone pillars in Georgia
Today we traveled to see the beauty of the famous carved stone pillars of Georgia. This place is called “Chronicle of Georgia”.
Located at: QRC6+65V, Chronicles of Georgia Temqa, Tbilisi, Georgia.
Which is located in Tbilisi itself. It is not difficult to get to. This is a black stone pillar carved to tell the story of the history of the country. It was established in 1985 on a high hill. It stands out because this pillar is very large and magnificent.
And if you walk a little further, you will see a very wide view of the city. It is very cool and breezy. But we went in winter, so we think it is not suitable. 555 I recommend that if anyone comes in winter, prepare complete winter gear. It is cold until your ears hurt.
If anyone comes to this city, stop by to see the beauty of this place. It is convenient to come and there is a parking lot..
