Drive straight to the closest place to the 8,000-meter snow mountain in Tibet.
There are too many snow mountains in Tibet, but most of them are far away from the viewing platform, and photos 📷 also need to be taken with a telephoto lens. But I found a place very, very close to the 8,000-meter snow mountain. It should be the closest place for ordinary tourists to see the 8,000-meter snow mountain.
📍Dingri County Pushila Mountain Pass
This is the only way to Rongxia Township, and it is also the best viewing platform to admire Cho Oyu. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Gangga Town, and the road conditions are very good throughout the journey.
【What snow mountains can you see here🏔️】
🛻8201 meters, the world's sixth peak, Cho Oyu
🛻7952 meters, Gezhongkang Peak
🛻6666 meters, Qiaolazang Peak
✅On the way to Pushila Mountain Pass, you can admire an 8,000-meter snow mountain, Cho Oyu, and several 6,000-meter and 7,000-meter snow mountains
✅In addition to Cho Oyu, the most eye-catching is the 6666-meter Qiaolazang Snow Mountain (Figure 5). This number is too lucky for Chinese people.
✅The only way from Gangga Town to Rongxia Gully, about 20km out of Gangga Town, you can see the perspective of P2-P3, which is very suitable for taking road photos. It is recommended to use telephoto shooting
✅The accommodation conditions in Rongxia Township and Gangga Town are not good, please consider whether to stay
Travel tips ‼️
⚠️
Be sure to bring your ID card and border pass
⚠️
It's very cold under the snow mountain, you must bring a down jacket
⚠️
When you see a place close to the snow mountain, stop the car, then climb a small hill, basically it is the best position
Note❗️
Sisters, if you want to take more pictures, you can continue to walk towards the snow mountain for a while, about 1 hour is enough.

Don't come to Tibet in August! I'm telling the truth!!!
Tibet, this mysterious and magnificent land, boasts enchanting scenery. Careful planning before embarking on the journey is crucial to avoid wasting precious time.
Budget and Preparation
It is recommended to reasonably arrange your budget according to your situation. Do not be too frugal, as traveling in Tibet can be relatively expensive. If you choose to fly, immediately go to a clinic or hospital for oxygen and medication if you experience altitude sickness. Do not hope to recover by just sleeping; early treatment ensures a pleasant subsequent journey.
Ways to Enter Tibet
If you have ample time, a train sleeper is a good choice. Avoid hard seats to ensure good rest and reduce the risk of altitude sickness. After arriving in Lhasa, rest at the hotel first. Avoid excessive exercise, walking, washing your hair, bathing, and drinking alcohol to prevent altitude sickness.
Food Experience
Tibet's sweet tea is sweet and delicious, while butter tea has a salty flavor. Some friends may not be accustomed to the taste of butter tea, so try it cautiously.

- Day 6: Nyingchi - Kading Valley - Nyang River Scenic Belt - Lhasa. The waterfall in Kading Valley cascades down, and the Nyang River Scenic Belt is picturesque.

- Day 8: Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Monastery - Lhasa. Tashilhunpo Monastery is solemn and sacred, rich in historical and cultural heritage.

Precautions
When taking photos with Tibetan mastiffs, lambs, and yaks by Yamdrok Lake, remember to negotiate the price with the herders in advance. Be sure to take sun protection measures when traveling, as the ultraviolet rays in Tibet are very strong.

Shigatse, Tibet: A Soul-Stirring Journey on the Plateau
📍Shigatse, Tibet
Set foot on the mysterious land of Shigatse, where the thin air brings challenges of oxygen deficiency and altitude sickness, but the scenery before your eyes unfolds like a heavenly painting. The snow-capped mountains, like sacred khatas, encircle the earth, shimmering in the sunlight; the vast grasslands stretch like a green carpet to the horizon, with yaks and sheep wandering like lively notes; the azure lakes, like the eyes of the earth, reflect the sky and mountains, deep and serene.
Here, the soul is cleansed by the pure blue sky and white clouds, and the worldly troubles quietly dissipate. Although troubled by altitude sickness, sleeping after oxygen inhalation feels stable, as the grandeur has already embedded itself in dreams.

The striking colors of Tashilhunpo Monastery.
Tashilhunpo Monastery, meaning "Auspicious Sumeru Monastery" in Tibetan, is located at the foot of Mount Niseri in Shigatse, Tibet. It was first built in 1447 and has been expanded and renovated many times since. The monastery covers an area of 150,000 square meters and has 57 monk houses and 3,600 halls and rooms. The architecture combines traditional Tibetan architectural features with Buddhist characteristics, showcasing the Buddhist art of Tibetan Buddhism and the solemnity of the Panchen Lama's stupa.
Unlike other temples, Tashilhunpo Monastery is built at the foot of Mount Niseri in Shigatse, with long red palace walls surrounding the mountain. This layout gives it a unique visual effect and architectural layering.
Tashilhunpo Monastery is characterized by its striking colors, with red and white as the main colors. The red walls are eye-catching and mysterious, standing out against the blue sky and white clouds. The white decorative lines and other elements contrast with the red, creating a strong visual contrast and enhancing the artistic appeal and expressiveness of the architecture.

The highest altitude in the world|Shigatse Hilton Hotel|A must-visit in this life.
Shigatse Hilton should be the best hotel
We took the morning flight and arrived at the hotel at 10:30 am
As soon as we got out of the car, someone came to take our luggage and put it on the trolley
We could check in immediately at the lobby on the 7th floor, at an altitude of 3,850 meters
No deposit was charged, and our luggage was taken to the room
Oxygen supply in the room is from 7 pm to 9 am
Nasal cannula is in the drawer
Takeout is placed at the hotel entrance, and you need to call the front desk
The hotel will arrange for someone to deliver it to the room, which is really great
After all, you don't want to walk with altitude sickness
It's a pity that we didn't have breakfast
I'm already very satisfied to stay in such an environment at a high altitude
The service is also very good, and any request is handled immediately. The staff who helped me with my luggage kept observing whether we needed any help
We took a shower and washed our hair on the first day
The water in the bathroom is very hot, and the hair dryer is fast
The only downside is that the room temperature is a bit hot
But we still slept until 9 am, and the altitude sickness was relieved a lot

The Power of Devotion - A Tour of Tashilhunpo Monastery
🔷🔸Tashilhunpo Monastery
The full name of Tashilhunpo Monastery is "Tashilhunpo Panchen Lama Monastery", which means "Auspicious Sumeru Monastery". It is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded in 1446. The eighth disciple of Tsongkhapa, the first Dalai Lama Gedun Drupa, in memory of his deceased mentor Sherab Senge, hired Tibetan and Nepalese craftsmen to make a 2.62-meter-high gilded bronze statue of Sakyamuni. To place this statue, Gedun Drupa, with the financial support of the Pakchu regime, began to build the monastery in September 1447, and it took 12 years to place the statue in the clean room of the monastery. The monastery was originally named "Gangjian Dianpei", and later Gedun Drupa renamed it "Tashilhunpo Monastery".
In 1601, the fourth Panchen Lama Losang Chokyi Gyaltsen became the 16th abbot of Tashilhunpo Monastery and carried out large-scale expansion. In 1713, it became the residence of the Panchen Lama.
The monastery covers an area of 150,000 square meters, surrounded by palace walls. The palace walls meander along the mountain, with a circumference of more than 3,000 meters. The entire monastery is built on a hillside, backed by high mountains, facing north to the sun, and the halls are connected in sequence, evenly distributed, and symmetrical.
There are five main halls in the temple
1. Qiangba Buddha Hall
2. Shisong Nanjie Hall
3. Panchen East Mausoleum Tashinanjie Hall
4. Coqin Hall
5. Jana Lakang
There are many cultural relics in the temple, and the golden stupa is richly decorated with barley, wheat and other items, as well as Buddhist scriptures and Buddha statues. The Maitreya statue in the Great Maitreya Hall uses more than 230,000 catties of brass and 6,700 taels of gold, and is inlaid with many gems. It is the largest bronze Buddha statue in the world. The stupa of the Panchen Lama is decorated with pearls and jade, and the stupa contains the sarira of the Panchen Lama.
Under the blue sky and white clouds, the monastery is like a solemn and sacred old man, standing solemnly. Walking into Zaburen Temple is like being in a kingdom of faith. The sun shines on the ancient buildings, and every brick and stone tells the story of the years. Here, you can truly feel the powerful power of faith. The devotion of the believers is like an invisible warm current, flowing in every inch of space. Admiring the exquisite architectural art, staring at the colorful murals, as if traveling through time and space, touching the pulse of history, listening to the echo of the years, the soul is also intoxicated, immersed in this sacred and beautiful atmosphere.

Xinjiang-Tibet Line—
On the eighth day of the Xinjiang-Tibet Line journey, we set off from Dingri, passed through Lazi and Shigatse, and finally reached Jiangzi County, covering a total distance of 340 kilometers, which took about five and a half hours by car.
The journey is not very long, and there are no particularly important scenic spots along the way. Shortly after departure in the morning, we got on the familiar National Highway 318, passing by a 5000-kilometer monument. Now, this place has been developed into a large leisure square next to the 318. Thinking back to the days when a few people took photos around a small kilometer marker, the changes are quite significant.
In Shigatse, we experienced Tibetan cuisine at a restaurant near Tashilhunpo Monastery. Judging by the menu alone, apart from the slightly more numerous beef and mutton dishes, there is not much difference from ordinary Chinese cuisine. It seems to have been adapted, and the prices are not expensive. Many Tibetans were also dining in the restaurant.
Since it was still early, we visited the Palcho Monastery in Jiangzi County. This is a unique monastery where the Sakya, Shalu, and Gelug schools of Tibetan Buddhism coexist. I had never been here before, so I took the opportunity to visit.
Tomorrow (September 14), we will set off from Jiangzi, visit the Karola Glacier and Yamdrok Lake, and reach the final destination of this Xinjiang-Tibet Line journey in the afternoon.

Shigatse Museum is not very popular, but it's worth a visit.
It's a bit off the beaten path and there were no people when we arrived. We almost thought it was closed. Fortunately, we persisted and found that the small two-story museum had a lot of content and was great value for money!
It mainly explains the important history of Buddhism, especially the Sakya sect and other sects, and the important events in the evolution of politics and religion in the history of Shigatse, especially the friendship between the Yuan Dynasty and Tubo, some events of the Qing Dynasty, especially the counterattack of invasion by Fukang'an, the war between the British and Tibetans, and the main events of the liberation of Tibet after the founding of the People's Republic of China, which gave us a good lesson. We have a more concrete understanding of the historical development path of this region.
We spent almost 2 hours there, and there were very few people, so it didn't feel very popular.

Found a hit hotel in 'Shigatse'!
Found a hit hotel in 'Shigatse'
The Shigatse Hilton One - the highest Hilton hotel in the world.
This is my third visit to Shigatse, as the main rest stop on the way to Mount Everest, there are not many luxury hotels to choose from in Shigatse. Staying at the Hilton this time really shocked me deeply. First of all, the professional and enthusiastic service attitude of the hotel staff made me truly feel at home; secondly, as a Gold Card member, it was the first time I received such high-level treatment, the service attitude was indeed a bit overwhelming, and I was also given a special card pack representing all the zodiac years since the hotel's opening; lastly, the buffet dinner on the first floor of the hotel costs 188 per person, to be honest, I did not expect to have such quality buffet at an altitude of around 4000 meters, and the tuna sashimi is the highest quality I have ever had in any buffet.
Before coming, I also saw mixed reviews about the quality of the Shigatse Hilton online, but I think for someone who has been to Shigatse three times, including this time at the Hilton, and stayed in Shigatse hotels six times, the Shigatse Hilton is undoubtedly the best hotel in Shigatse.
The rooms have diffuse oxygen supply, and the staff had thoughtfully turned on the oxygen supply before check-in. The most basic amenities like welcome fruit and laundry service are also available. The hotel breakfast can't compare with similar hotels in the mainland, but there are also many varieties, and whatever your requirements, they can be met

Tibet Travel Tips
Traveling to Tibet during the summer, please heed the advice||‼️
Summer is coming, how can anyone go to Tibet without doing some research!
Here are some tips to avoid pitfalls from my recent trip to Tibet 🔥 I hope everyone can avoid some troubles‼️
I personally think it's more convenient to join a tour group. After all, Tibet is really big, and the distances between attractions are also very far. Accommodation and dining might be difficult to arrange because I went with a friend, so self-driving was not cost-effective. For safety reasons, we chose to join a tour group! It not only included tickets to major attractions 🎫 but also 5 days and 4 nights of boutique 🏨 accommodation, which was great 🥰
👉🏻Travel tips
⭐The temperature difference in Tibet during summer is also significant, remember to bring a windbreaker, which is windproof, warm, and UV-resistant!
⭐Ibuprofen + glucose + motion sickness patches
⭐Power bank, headphones, selfie stick, camera
⭐Eye drops: The weather in Tibet is very dry, and nosebleeds are common. You can buy the cheapest eye drops at the pharmacy, which are more convenient to carry than nasal sprays.
⭐Down jacket and windbreaker, sunscreen, sunglasses, moisturizing cream, and body lotion are recommended because Tibet is really dry. Also, it is suggested not to wash your hair or take a bath on the first day of arrival to avoid altitude sickness.
⭐A hat with a windproof strap, the wind at Everest is so strong that it makes you question life. Without a windproof strap, your hat will basically fly away every day.
⭐Disposable wet wipes: super useful, many places in Tibet don't have water. You can use them to wipe your hands after eating on the bus. They can also be used to disinfect your hands after using the restroom.

Shigatse Tourism.
When it comes to traveling to Tibet, many people choose Lhasa for their first visit, but they definitely won't miss Shigatse the second time. Shigatse is located between the middle section of the Himalayas and the middle section of the Gangdise-Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains, with Mount Everest in its Dingri County. The capital, Samzhubze District, has been established for over 600 years. Samzhubze Dzong and Gyantse Dzong were once political and religious centers.

Sunglasses are a must, the wind is so strong that you can't open your eyes

The Panchen Lama resides within, it's so magnificent!
The Tashilhunpo Monastery, along with the 'Three Great Monasteries' of Lhasa—Ganden, Sera, and Drepung—is known as one of the 'Four Great Monasteries' of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and serves as the center of government for the Gelug sect. Its architecture is a fusion of traditional Tibetan styles and Buddhist elements, presenting the religious characteristics unreservedly to the world.
Built along the mountain terrain, Tashilhunpo Monastery is surrounded by winding palace walls. The majestic temple buildings, together with the palace walls, form the sacred source of the monastery. The entire complex faces south with Buddhist halls following the mountain's contour in an orderly and harmonious symmetrical layout, revealing a sense of harmony and symmetry inadvertently. The hall architecture of Tashilhunpo Monastery not only highlights religious and ethnic features but also emphasizes cultural heritage.
The Maitreya Temple is one of the grander structures within Tashilhunpo Monastery, famous for housing an almost 30-meter-tall Maitreya bronze Buddha. The temple is divided into five levels: the Lotus Throne Hall, the Chest Hall, the Face Hall, and the Crown Hall.
Location: Situated at the foot of Niseri Mountain, south of Shigatse city.

The Heart of Rear Tibet
Tashilhunpo Monastery | Comprehending Humanistic Beliefs.
Comprehending Humanistic Beliefs. Tashilhunpo Monastery is located at the foot of Nyiseri Mountain, south of Shigatse, which in Tibetan means 'Auspicious Sumeru Mountain'. It is the largest monastery in Shigatse and has been the residence of the Panchen Lamas from the 4th Panchen Lama onwards, hence it is known as the heart of Rear Tibet. Along with the three great monasteries of Lhasa, it is one of the four great monasteries of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Before arriving in Shigatse, I had already visited the three great monasteries of Lhasa, so initially, Tashilhunpo Monastery did not make a deep impression on me. Compared to the previous three, it didn't strike me as much - until I entered the Coqen Hall.
I spent the entire afternoon in the Coqen Hall. The Great Assembly Hall, also known as Coqen Hall, is one of the earliest buildings associated with the monastery. This hall is very special compared to the three great monasteries of Lhasa, mainly consisting of a courtyard surrounded by cloisters, with many Buddha statues and murals painted around the cloisters.
In front of the Great Assembly Hall is a lecture field of over 600 square meters, where the Panchen Lama teaches and debates scriptures with the monks. Unfortunately, during my visit, the debate was not held. Pay attention to a very special place on the side of the square. Locals line up to press their ears against the wall. It is said that those with profound blessings can hear different sounds here.
At 12:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon, there are chanting sessions in the Great Assembly Hall. As the time approaches, monks will blow horns on the roof, then they will head to the hall, take off their shoes at a certain corner, and find their seats in the hall.
Dim lights, red pillars, monks draped in yellow robes, scriptures hanging from the beams... We queue outside the hall, listening to the sacred sounds of scriptures emanating from within, and a sense of sanctity naturally arises. Visitors can also queue with the locals and slowly enter the hall. Walking through the narrow corridors, the locals almost all bow their heads as they pass, as if the monks beside them are untouchable deities.
After touring the Great Assembly Hall, I sat alone on the stone steps of the square, listening to the scriptures from the hall, looking at the courtyard, and my heart seemed to become very peaceful all of a sudden...
Finally, when I was leaving, I met a young monk who was going to the Great Assembly Hall to deliver food and butter tea to the chanting monks. He smiled and handed me an apple, which made me feel very warm.
Notice
Opening hours: 09:00-19:30

3 When visiting, enter from the left and exit from the right, in a clockwise direction
Pay attention to the opening hours of each hall, some are closed from 11:30 to 15:30. Around three in the afternoon, locals start entering the monastery, and at that time the Panchen Lama's Stupa Hall will be open
Right at the entrance of the monastery is the Tashilhunpo Monastery Restaurant, where you can dine after leaving the monastery
