Attractions in Centipede Temple
The Centipede Temple, also known as Then Tze Khoon, is a fascinating attraction located along Jalan Temiang in the northern part of Seremban, Malaysia.
Inside the temple, you’ll find a three-story pagoda with a laughing Buddha statue on the top floor. Although Then Sze is primarily a Taoist temple, it also contains Buddhist images, which is common in many Chinese temples in Malaysia. The main Then Sze Holy temple is built into the rock face and houses a drum, a Qing Dynasty bell, an ornate door, antique lanterns, and ceiling hangings. Outside, there are shrines called the Purple Cane Gazebo and the Datuk Altar.
Besides the centipede, another attraction is the God of Marriage statue, referred to as Yue Lao. Couples seeking a happy marriage hook lockets with red strings attached to a fence alongside the statue, hoping for a long and joyful union.
There are also statues of the Eight Immortals are seated on rocks amid the trees; Lucky Tortoise Pool and Koi Pond: Overlooked by a statue of Guan Yin; Pavilion Dedicated to Guan Di: A golden toad statue with a coin in its mouth is believed to protect wealth and guard against bad luck. Refreshment Shop and Religious Trinket Stall are also available.
Location:
The temple sits on a ridge at the top of Wu Gong Hill (Bukit Jung), approximately 127 meters above sea level. Devotees must climb 264 steps to reach the temple, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding green and pleasant countryside.
Next time you’re in Seremban, consider visiting this unique temple and experiencing its rich history and spiritual significance!

Legend of the Centipede Temple
According to legend, a young man who achieved fame and fortune failed to show gratitude and filial piety to his mother upon returning home. As punishment, he was turned into a ‘rock ship’ located at Bukit Jung. A centipede, believed to be the reincarnation of the young man’s mother, is often seen beside the rock. Visitors now hope to find a centipede here for good luck and prosperity.
To mark the spot where the young man was turned into a rock, a giant stone centipede has been erected at the temple. This centipede serves as a reminder of the consequences of ingratitude and the importance of filial piety. The legend teaches us about the significance of showing respect and gratitude to our parents and elders. It also emphasizes the idea that our actions have consequences, even beyond our own lifetimes.
When you visit the Centipede Temple, take a moment to reflect on this legend and appreciate the spiritual depth it adds to the temple’s atmosphere.

Peaceful Cafe to Work and Study
#familytrips2024 #thingstodo #vianasjourney
Located outside of Mesamall, this Starbucks Cafe is often quite which makes it really a perfect location for me to do some work. It has few options on the seating arrangement, from two seater to big groups. 3 points plugs were available at many sides of the cafe. Toilet is also available inside the cafe itself and it’s well maintained by the staff. I went on Thursday, where they have Rm10 promotion on drinks if customers wear or have anything green. I’m thinking on visiting again for work and just hangout.
Watch New Movies at The Only Cinema in Nilai
#thingstodo #awesomepic
Nilai is a small town and unfortunately not many option for cinema are available around except for this one in Mesamall (located at level 3). But rest assured that this one not likely to disappoint you as I find it’s quite many option for movies. The place is well taken care of, waiting area have plenty of chairs to sit. Cinema hall are clean, good cushioned chair, sounds system working good and common facilities are comfortable and tidy. Senior citizen and students have cheaper price (Rm11/per). There’s also an early bird price for only Rm11 (please check timing as it might change). Below this cinema, there’s also a bowling alley and few games you can check.
Tasik Seremban Discovering Tranquility
#familytrips2024
Tasik Seremban, also known as Seremban Lake Gardens, is like a big outdoor playground in Seremban, Malaysia. Imagine a park filled with colorful flowers, tall trees, and the sound of birds chirping. Families often pack a picnic basket with yummy snacks and find a cozy spot to enjoy a meal together. I like to relax on benches, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Some adventurous souls rent a boat and ride across the tranquil lake, taking in the serene views all around. It's a special place where families create lasting memories amidst the beauty of nature.
The Manhattan Fish Market Seremban
#malaysiatrip
The restaurant is quite spacious, there's plenty of room for people to sit comfortably without feeling crowded. However, even though there are lots of seats, there aren't many customers coming in.
When it comes to the food, they serve generous portions, but unfortunately, most of the dishes don't taste amazing. The standout dish seems to be the Carbonara pasta. On the other hand, some of the deep-fried items are too greasy, which might not sit well with everyone.
While the prices aren't exactly cheap, they're not outrageously expensive either. However, given the quality of the food, some customers might expect a better value for their money.
One positive point is that the restaurant is kid-friendly, with amenities like easy-to-access handwashing sections, which is great for families dining with children. Overall, it seems like a decent option for a meal, but there's definitely potential for improvement in other areas.

Noodles for Brunch in Seremban 🇲🇾
#winhkflight
📍Yi Poh (Seremban HQ)
We went on a road trip to Seremban from Kuala Lumpur and came across this restaurant based in Seremban, and we know we have to try this as this is their headquarter store in Seremban. Specialising in 老鼠粉 (a type of noodles), their specialty noodle did not disappoint! The noodle is chewy and packed of flavours, peppery flavours were quite distinctive too. Pork balls soup was a one of my favourite as well, the soup was flavourful and the pork balls were homemade. The restaurant has both indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seatings, can accommodate larger groups of patrons. The restaurant was lively and full of crowds during our visit.
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!
Cozy Café to Hang Out in Seremban 🇲🇾
#winhkflight
📍Just Koffea, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
We were visiting Seremban from Kuala Lumpur and took a coffee break at Just Koffea, Seremban. The café is located at a shop lot area, and there is a lot of parking spots so it is convenient and easily accessible with car. The café is cozy and nicely decorated with warm coloured lightings, plushies, wooden tables and chairs. As soon as we step into the store, we were immediately greeted by the strong coffee aroma in the air. Love the service from staff as well, helpful and friendly. The coffee was nicely brewed, balanced blend of coffee shots and milk! Cheesecake was soft and moist too, love that as well!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!
Famous Grilled Crab in Seremban 🇲🇾

📍Restoran Seremban Seafood Village
Renowned for its grilled BBQ crab, this place is such a gem in Seremban of Negeri Sembilan! The restaurant is a favourite for both locals and tourists. It has plenty of seatings and big tables, great place for larger groups of family and friends gathering. The restaurant is located in an open space area, thus there was sufficient air flow, it was airy and breezy. It was our first visit and for sure we ordered their signature grilled bbq crab. Love that the crab we had was fresh, solid and delectable, the thick sauce atop the crab was flavourful and it was a delight! Love the pairing of the crab with fried noodles!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

Malaysia Visa-Free | 7 Days 6 Nights Off-the-Beaten-Path Itinerary Guide
Just got back from Malaysia, took an unusual off-the-beaten-path route, traveling north from Malacca to Penang, exploring and wandering along the way. Besides the cities with Southeast Asian charm, there was also the freedom of durian orchards. This visa-free country is really too tempting. Sharing a less-traveled route suitable for the whole family.

Penang:
Compared to Kuala Lumpur, I prefer the world heritage site of Penang, which features a mix of Southeast Asian, Muslim, Chinese, and Indian architecture. The strong cultural atmosphere, interesting graffiti in the alleys, and the dazzling markets are all reasons why I like this old city. Although there are quite a few Michelin-starred restaurants in Penang, I still recommend saving some room in your stomach for the night market snacks!
Malacca:
Also a world heritage site, Malacca is a bit more colorful. After visiting the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum, I finally understood the origins of the Peranakans and learned more about the history of Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas.
Ipoh:
Malaysia's little Guilin, a small town in the mountains, with lots of delicious food. Saw a Malayan tapir at the Sunway Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh! So cute~
Must Eat Durian:
How can you come to Malaysia and not eat durian! The durians in Kuala Lumpur, the dragon fruits in Sepang, and the pomelos in Ipoh are all delicacies not to be missed~
Tips:
1. Malaysia is visa-free, with no time difference from China, and flights to Kuala Lumpur are very convenient.
2. There are super many wild animals, hornbills and monkeys can be seen in the parks. Please do not feed them randomly to protect the ecology.

The Dusun
So relaxing & back to nature, the room that i book no air conditioning, i just enjoy a fresh air & feel cold at night because it located at the hill & in the forest. Amazing Rainforest Resort, nice for honeymoon and relax your mind. Very quite & calm. The staff is so friendly & the breakfast just nice. Infinity pool is totally amazing, the view of the forest is superb. Be aware with mosquitos, dont forget the repellent. Quite pricy since it is a private resort, and most tourist stay here.

Hayyan Huda Opah's Kitchen Seremban ✨
One of the best choice for Malay cuisine restaurant to go. The incredible choices for the menu were so good, even the price quite pricey. Also, the main attraction was the bakers station which a lots of choice for the cakes and dessert.
The atmosphere is top notch here, you can choose naturally aired area or air-conditioned area. Both are clean and spacious.
They have a lot of kuih like karipap, cakes, tarts. It's a complete restaurant cafe that has food and desserts. Toilets are clean and they have surau for male and female too. Make sure to come early to avoid traffic and limited parking space.
Highly recommend for group of friends and families who wants to have a good time eating authentic Malay food. Definitely will come again, it's worth the trip. ❤️
