This is the best staycation I had this year and can’t recommend it enough to anyone who wants to escape from the city for some time! Zhinan is located in the mountains of Lin’an county, part of Hangzhou city. I happened to go there for a weekend during fall and it was much better than what we expected with my friend. This village is so peaceful with epic views on the mountains and paddy fields. Most buildings are guest houses with restaurants whilst others are mostly shops selling local specialities. We stayed at a guesthouse for two nights. Everyone was so friendly there! Every corner was beautiful and the views are so soothing! The paddy fields in Zhinan village were defo the highlight of my fall this year. They’re located right at the entrance of the village surrounded by many viewpoints for tourists. You can walk through the fields and venture further at ease! The views were breathtaking and so worth it! I spent a weekend in the village and explored this part on a Saturday. Coffee & Mountain View❓Hell Yes 🧡

On a fall weekend getaway in Zhinan, the one and only coffee shop of the village was so lovely 🍁 It’s at the very beginning of the village and is beautifully decorated with maple leaves in and out! The outdoor seats have a gorgeous view on the mountains ⛰️ It’s also a small business shop where you can buy tea, cute notebooks and a bunch of handmade products such as jewellery, Chinese fans, scarfs etc… Most of the souvenirs are Maple leaf themed with surprisingly, very affordable prices. I bought a handmade Chinese fan, a ring and a pair of earrings for 148¥. There’s coffee and tea with prices ranging from 20 -38¥. I had the wind leaf latte while my friend had the americano in the morning and white tea in the afternoon. They were all good 😊 The shop owners were so friendly and welcoming 🧡 Highly recommended checking it out! Spend time outside the tea room with a few friends, brewing tea around the stove. Take a sip and let the milk tea dance on your tongue, with the sweetness of the mountain spring, the fragrance of the tea leaves, and the smoothness of the milk. It's like tasting the whole autumn. Return to [Baiju] for a private bath. The wooden shutters let in soft sunlight, and you can enjoy the natural scenery outside the window while soaking in the bath, feeling the warmth and healing of the mountain spring. The clear mountain spring water flows down from above. Listen to the music of nature and feel your heart calm down. I love spending a whole day in peace like this. Life should be about slowing down. 1 hour 45 minutes' drive from Gongshu District. The ginkgo trees have turned yellow, but many leaves have fallen.
