The thousand flowers blossoming at Yamashita Park
#flowerblossom #100waysoftravel
Its autumn now and the skies are very blue, and this park located by the pier has seen flowers blooming and all spots. The speciality of Yamashita Park is the rose and cosmos flower. This park follows the style of the western Renaisaance Garden where there are statues and fountains in the park. You also see many people doing sketching and paiting at the park, and the blossoms of the flower makes that it possible to generate a very nice and colourful picture. Whats more, the cool weather also makes picnic possible so you see some couples, friends having picnic at the garden. There are also plenty of benches available for people to sit and relax. Truly a very nice experience indeed.

Pokemon Go Fest 2019
Came here during Pokemon Go Fest 2019. Wish the park has more resting pavilion as it’s really hot in summer here.

Heading out along the coast from Motomachi and Chinatown, you'll come across Yamashita Park. This park, which offers a panoramic view of Yokohama Port, is a popular place of relaxation in the port town. On a nice day, you can relax by lying on the grass, sit on a bench and look out at the sea, or enjoy playing sports or an instrument. There are many different views to choose from. The occasional sound of ship whistles adds to the port town atmosphere.
It's surprisingly easy to get to, so I thought it would be a perfect destination for a spring trip.

Yamashita Park is a peaceful waterfront park offering beautiful views of Yokohama Bay and the iconic Hikawa Maru ship. It’s an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, or simply relaxing by the water. The park’s well-manicured gardens, fountains, and sculptures add charm, while the sea breeze creates a refreshing atmosphere. Events and street performances often take place here, adding to the lively vibe. With its stunning harbor views and proximity to other attractions like Chinatown and the Marine Tower, Yamashita Park is a relaxing and scenic destination for visitors of all ages.

A day spent at yokohama 🇯🇵

Yokohama Yokohama is the No. 2 big city in Japan, located in the south of Tokyo. It is a seaside port and has been rated as a livable city in Japan for many times. I'm used to the flower depression in Tokyo, and the relaxation in Yokohama is fascinating.
From Tokyo Haneda Airport to Yokohama Station, take the "Keikyu Line" for half an hour. If it takes 1 hour from downtown Tokyo.
The traffic at Yokohama Station makes beginners a little confused.
Six railway companies (JR, Tokyu, Keikyu, Sotetsu, Yokohama Subway, Yokohama Expressway), countless gates and exits are crisscrossed. In a word, after arriving at Yokohama Station, buy a one-day ticket 460 of "Minatomirai Line" and start exploring this City. The Hong Kong Mirai Line has a separate entrance and exit at Yokohama Station. Find the Minatomirai Line on the sign and follow it. You can choose a one-day ticket on the self-service ticket machine, which is available in Chinese and English. Sit twice and get back the capital.
Well, the following is my one-day Citywalk route:
Red brick warehouse and seaside trestle bridge (Yamashita Park is now
Zhonghua City.
Hehe Taste Memorial Hall (Terris Wheel (Breadman Museum)
(Yokohama Station)
Go shopping
(This route has probably been said to be rotten hhh
Events and markets, for example, when I went there, I came across the Sweet Potato Festival, all kinds of strange sweet potato delicacies.
Grand trestle bridge
It is an observatory extending out of the seaside. It is a magical streamlined shape. The roof is wavy, symbolizing the combination of waves and ships. Stroll along the wooden deck of the root,
The 360-degree vast sea view is all mine. Seamless roof design There are almost no columns or walls, giving people a sense of openness and freedom.
Mountain Park
In the park by the sea, many people and pigeons are in the park for 20min. There is a historic passenger ship "Hikawa Maru", which used to be a regular flight between Yokohama and North America, has now been transformed into a museum. The gardening in the park is also very beautiful. In the center is a "patron saint of water" fountain, surrounded by flower beds, trimmed into a European style.
Zhonghua Street
Asia's largest China City

Sakura
#traveldiaries There is no other place on Earth that celebrates cherry blossoms quite like Japan.
Not only do the tiny pink flowers possess beauty, but cherry blossoms are also a crucial component in Japanese culture.
A wide variety of cherry tree species numbering in the hundreds are found throughout all of Japan. In fact, the cherry blossom is so popular it is considered Japan’s unofficial national flower. And their arrival is widely celebrated throughout the country during the spring season with food, song, dance, and camaraderie.
These tiny flowers have been celebrated for centuries. And today, travelers come from around the world to see them each spring. Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms even have their very own forecast, which allows savvy travelers to plan their trips during peak viewing times.

Missing the Sakura trees
#traveldiaries The sakura of Japan are well known around the world for their radiant, delicate and transient beauty, but they are more than simply beautiful cherry blossom trees. Sakura are tied to Japan’s history, culture and identity. Originally used to divine the year’s harvest, sakura came to embody wabi-sabi philosophy and shinto ideals of impermanence, hope and renewal.
Each year, people in Japan gather together to watch the sakura bloom from March through May and observe how at the peak of their beauty, the blossoms start to fall; providing a stark reminder that although life is beautiful, it is also ephemeral and short. Learn more about the sakura of Japan below and find out how you can begin a journey to see them in person.

Lovely park even on a lightly raining spring day. On one side is a beautiful garden with lots of flowers. Though there were also different kinds of roses, I honestly didn’t realise that there were so many different kinds.
It was heartwarming to see her having such a blast, and it made our visit to Yamashita Park truly memorable. Overall, if you're in Yokohama and looking for a peaceful escape by the sea, Yamashita Park is the place to be

Fall in love with Yokohama.
Yokohama, an unforgettable journey:
1. Yokohama Chinatown: As one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan, this is a great place to experience authentic Chinese food and culture. Stroll along the quaint streets, with a variety of Chinese restaurants, shops and temples on both sides, as if you were in a Chinatown in a foreign country. As a Chinese, I feel the strength of my motherland and its international influence👍
2. Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse: This historic building complex has witnessed the prosperity and development of Yokohama. Today, the Red Brick Warehouse has been transformed into a fashionable landmark integrating shopping, dining and culture. Here, you can enjoy the old architectural style while enjoying the convenience and fun of modern cities.
3. Yokohama Port Future 21 District: As a representative block of Yokohama's modernization, it integrates office, business and entertainment. Take a Ferris wheel to overlook the beautiful scenery of Yokohama Port and feel the prosperity and vitality of the city. At night, the brilliant lights make it picturesque.
4. Yamashita Park: Adjacent to Yokohama Port, it is a super large park where you can see the sea. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and enjoy leisure time. There are also various sculptures and monuments in the park, adding a cultural heritage to your trip.
5. Yokohama Ramen Museum: For ramen lovers, this is a place not to be missed. The museum brings together old ramen shops from all over Japan, allowing you to taste various flavors of ramen at one time. The inspiration for Japanese ramen comes from the Chinese chicken noodle soup of Chinese Ming Dynasty travelers, which was later improved and gradually formed its own style.
Come to Yokohama, if you have plenty of time, you can go to the surrounding Kamakura and Yokosuka to see, each with its own scenery. 🎉🦶

Wonderful Park in Yokohama
#cherryblossom2024 Yamashita Park (山下公園, Yamashita Kōen) is a public park that stretches about 750 meters along Yokohama's waterfront. The park is about a hundred meters wide, and consists mostly of open green space. This park is beautiful views and you can see Yokohama port here. This park is a big place for sightseeing, having a picnic with your favorite person, walking and jogging. You’ll see a lot of amazing things around the park. It’s breathtaking especially in spring season.
The public toilet is clean too.

#cherryblossom2024 Lovely, serene park located at the harbour of Yokohama. Recommended to also visit the hikamaru ship museum if you’re in the area to learn about it’s long history.Near many attractions - Chinatown, red brick warehouse, etc. Additionally, it has a really convenient restrooms around the area. You can see large famous ships on the wharf. Best of all, it is lined with colourful flowers that brighten the place and lifts your mood.

Picnic with Fam
Yamashita Park is 10-12 minutes walk from Sakuragicho station. There are many attractions while walking to Yamashita Park. In this place, near the sea, there is a beautiful green area with many different flowers, all colourful, very well maintained. It is a truly romantic setting and, while walking, you can admire the entire coast up to the center of the town. I recommend a walk in this magical environment.

New Year, New Journey | Celebrating the New Year in Chinatown, Yokohama, where the dragon rides the clouds for a lucky year
❤The New Year atmosphere for overseas Chinese is in Chinatowns around the world. Unlike the usual crowds, there are unique Chinese charm of Chinatown.
🌟Yokohama, less than thirty kilometers away from Tokyo, is one of the earliest open port cities in Japan. It has one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan, "Yokohama Chinatown". The history of Chinese living here can be traced back to 1859. Most of the Chinese living here are mainly from Guangdong, China.
👍2024 welcomed the 38th "Chinese New Year" celebration in Yokohama Chinatown. Every Chinese Lunar New Year, a "Spring Festival" is held, with lanterns and decorations on the streets of Chinatown, and Chinese elements dominate the market. This Chinatown celebration is themed "Dragon Riding the Clouds", implying that everyone will break through in various aspects like a dragon in the new year.
✅In Yokohama Chinatown, the most popular temple during the Lunar New Year is the "Guan Di Temple". In Japan, the Three Kingdoms general Guan Yu (Guan Sheng Emperor) is a deified figure, and tourists from all countries will come here for the "first visit" to pray for a successful career and prosperous business in the new year.
❤This Chinese New Year celebration in Yokohama Chinatown has arranged 400 red and yellow lanterns to decorate every corner of the market. Among them, a group of 100 lanterns called "Hundred-section Dragon" is very popular and attracts many tourists to stop and take photos. Yamashita Town Park has also set up lanterns symbolizing the Chinese emperor and empress, "Dragon" and "Phoenix". This will last from February 10th to February 24th. During this period (February 11th, February 12th, February 17th, February 18th), in addition to the traditional lion dance "Cai Qing" to celebrate the harvest and prosperous business, there will also be "Dragon Dance", "Chinese Acrobatics", parade celebrations and other activities.
🧳If you are traveling in Japan, or are about to set off for Tokyo, don't miss the Chinese New Year atmosphere in Yokohama Chinatown, go and experience it!

#thingstodo This is a beautiful park where you get a view of the sea. A lot of events keep happening throughout the day, especially over the weekend. Do take some time out to visit this park as a tourist. You may want to sit down for some time and absorb everything around you.

Spring is here!
Spring is here, the flowers are blooming and many of us are excited to spend more time outdoors without bundling up. A perfect place for you and to your family🩷
Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers, but spring is especially captivating with approximately 160 species and 1,900 bushes of roses, which are the symbolic flowers of Yokohama. The rose tunnel and flower beds are a sight to behold. Worth it to visit!

#2024wish
A seaside park located between the Gundam Factory Warehouse and Red Brick Warehouses. During April, they have the Garden Necklace fair. Lots of smaller vendors selling plants and flowers. The flowers were amazing. There was a festival feel without many food options. Check this out if you're near Yokohama. This is a must-destination.
I want to visit this park again in 2024.
