✨【Exploring the Ancient Xiangyan Temple】✨
📍 In a hidden corner of Liulin, Shanxi, lies an ancient temple that has weathered the storms of time—Liulin Xiangyan Temple. Here, it is not only a witness to history but also a sediment of time.
🏯 Xiangyan Temple, which was built in the Tang Dynasty, has a long history of 1368 years. The plaque inscribed with 'Xiangyan Temple' bestowed by Emperor Dezong Li Shi during the Zhenyuan era of the Tang Dynasty still hangs high at the temple gate, telling the story of past royal glory.
🏰 After a thousand years, Xiangyan Temple still retains the architectural styles of the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Covering an area of 7380 square meters, the temple has five courtyards and thirteen halls, with each brick and tile bearing the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancients.
🏺 The 'One Jin and Seven Yuan' eight halls are the most precious treasures here. The brick carvings from the Jin Dynasty and the black glazed tiles on the roofs are rare cultural relics, highly praised by experts as a rare ancient architectural group in China.
🌟 The Mahavira Hall, as the core of the temple, stands majestically, carrying the prayers of countless believers. Its beam structure is rigorous, a typical architectural style of the Song and Jin periods.
🌿 The temple is nestled by mountains and rivers, surrounded by cliffs on three sides, and consists of two courtyards, east and west. On the central axis of the east courtyard, the mountain gate, passage hall, Mahavira Hall, and Pilu Hall are arranged in sequence; the west courtyard houses the Sutra Hall, Rear Buddha Hall, and Xuantian Hall. Each place is a beautiful picture.
🔥 Exploring Xiangyan Temple is not only a retrospective of history but also a baptism of the soul. Here, every place is full of stories, and every brick and tile tells of the past.
