Changsha | Everyone goes to Wuyi Square for a stroll
The most popular shopping district in the entire Changsha must be Wuyi Square, which can be clearly felt from the subway crowd. It's perfect for spending a day citywalking.
1️⃣ Changsha International Finance Center
Commonly known as 'Changsha IFS' or 'Changsha International Financial Center', the main tower is 452 meters high with 93 floors above ground, making it the tallest building in Hunan Province. The secondary tower is 315 meters high with 65 floors above ground. The design of these 'twin towers', one taller and one shorter, is inspired by Zhangjiajie, a tourist attraction in Hunan. The 7th-floor rooftop garden viewing platform not only offers a panoramic view of the city's beauty but also allows for a photo opportunity with the Kaws bear, making it a must-visit spot for many who come to Changsha.
2️⃣ Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street
Named after Huang Xing, a founding father of the Republic of China, with his statue at the entrance. The street is about eight hundred meters long, with three levels inside, bordered by Simenkou in the north and Nanmenkou in the south, and is the core area of this bustling city. Basically, all the chain store brands are concentrated here, and it's a place where you can't miss eating, drinking, and shopping.
3️⃣ Denglong Street
An ancient street near IFS, which used to be dominated by lantern shops, hence it was also called 'Lantern Street'. It mainly consists of snack shops.
4️⃣ Liren Alley
The name of the alley comes from the Confucian Analects, 'Liren Wei Mei', meaning 'It is beautiful to live among benevolent neighbors'. In 1862, Changsha's earliest photography studio 'Changqing Pavilion' was established here.
5️⃣ Baiguoyuan Alley
Named for the many ginkgo trees planted here. It is one of the four remaining ancient sesame stone streets in Changsha. Here, you can find sesame stone roads, Shikumen, clear water brick walls, old-style mansions, the Hunan Peace Liberation History Exhibition Hall, the former site of the 'Xiangjiang Review' printing house; there's also the 'In Changsha - Picking Stars by Hand' hand-painted wall, and a cultural tourism photo story exhibition; it's suitable for leisurely strolls and check-ins.
6️⃣ Guanyinjing Alley
With its quiet and serene ancient-style doorways, it has opened many small, trendy coffee shops where you can enjoy delicious food, sit back, rest, and take photos.

Thanks to Ulala, this Hunan restaurant in Changsha is really cheap and delicious.
It's right at the Wuyi Square subway entrance, a must-try Hunan restaurant in Changsha! Many locals come here often, and it's always full at mealtimes, with a lively atmosphere! The menu is clearly priced, with dishes as low as 5 yuan, so cheap! You can order whatever you want without worrying about the cost!
Authentic old Changsha flavors, and the portions are quite generous! We ordered
a table full of dishes and none of them were disappointing! Big Knife Beef, Spicy Chicken, Thirty Building Stir-fried Marinated Pork, Pickled Cabbage and Vermicelli, Green Beans with Minced Meat... all freshly cooked to order! So fragrant and full of wok hei! Every dish goes well with rice! I can eat two or three bowls of rice 🍚! Only 30 yuan per person, cheap and delicious!

For food, head to Wuyi Square in Changsha, especially for hot pot.
I've eaten at Wuyi Square in Changsha more than 10 times.|||If you don't have a local guide, you won't find this restaurant. Exit from Exit 7 of Wuyi Square Subway Station and walk 100 meters forward. It's hidden on the 2nd floor of Fenchao Shopping Mall. It's called Xiaolongkan Hot Pot. You must try the black pearl brown sugar rice cake, which is soft and sticky. This time, I ordered several of their signature dishes. I heard that
shrimp paste beef pizza🍕, Xiaolongkan beef tripe
Beef tripe must be boiled! Wives must be fat!
Boil duck intestines together! Friendship lasts forever!
Have some shrimp paste when you're free, and you'll never slip when walking
The stars don't ask travelers, and hot pot doesn't let down sweet potato noodles
Love should be rare, and pig's trotters should be stewed until tender
Cook some fresh duck blood, and all your troubles will disappear
Blissful Liam~Reed31
Changsha is indeed a big city... You can eat anything here!
I've lived to see the day... I actually ate jellyfish! Dip it in the hotpot broth for a while, and it will be full of flavor. It has a crispy and tender texture, and tastes pretty good with some dipping sauce!
Located on Santai Street, Wuyi Square, the restaurant is called [Fang Si Gao Chongqing Old Hotpot], and the average price is about 40 yuan, which is very affordable! I ordered the signature red oil pot, which became more flavorful the longer it was cooked, and it wasn't salty at all.
The meat and vegetables are cheaper than other hotpot restaurants, and the vegetables are all single digits! I recommend the chicken feet, egg dumplings, mint beef, beef tendon, old pumpkin, luncheon meat, and mandarin fish...

When in Changsha, you can skip the tea, but you can't miss the crayfish!! This local favorite is a must-try! It's always packed, and the food is sooooo good!!
This place has a real local vibe. We ordered a ton of food and ate it all. My friends and I were all very satisfied~
🦞Garlic shrimp, flavored shrimp, and fried shrimp are all delicious! The crayfish are huge, and they have roe! The shrimp meat is fresh and bouncy. The flavored shrimp soup is great with noodles! It's spicy and fragrant, and it's making my mouth water just thinking about it.
🧀The cheese crayfish is so cheesy, and it tastes rich and milky! Each crayfish is covered in cheese, and the cheese head is delicious... I ate it all...
🍢The Hunan cuisine and snacks are also good, and it's worth coming back again and again!
🍝My friends and I brought some spicy chicken ramen to eat with it. Thanks to everyone online! It's really good! Every bite is satisfying!
🫔The spring roll skin is wrapped around the fresh and bouncy shrimp meat and served with cheese spicy chicken ramen~ It's a heavenly combination. I hope everyone will give it a try!

Next to Changsha IFS... I'm most afraid of this little shop closing down.
It's in an alley in Wuyi Square, only locals know about it (it's called Laoyanjiashaguoju). I love their clay pot Hunan cuisine! Abalone free-range chicken, mint beef, clay pot ribs... I've tried basically every flavor and they're all delicious!! They're all great with rice!!
There's also the sticky crystal durian, seaweed floss mashed potatoes... the snacks are also good. Only this shop has them!! The average cost per person is only around CNY 40, it's such a good deal!!

Come on! Cha Yan Yue Se Concept Store - Kung Fu.
🌈Famous feature: Changsha's own tea🍵- Cha Yan Yue Se
🍽️Recommended restaurant: Wuyi Square 7Mall-LM floor - Kung Fu
💰️Average price: 30
💗Other tips:
The tea🍵 tastes good, very distinctive, with wine, tea and coffee.
The decoration has a strong Kung Fu flavor, roll, roll, roll, Bruce Lee is here.
There are many snacks and the surroundings are complete.
Sitting inside feels like being in a movie. Hahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂
