Phra Than Klai is a builder, writer, Vipassana practitioner, etc. Phor Than Klai once composed a poem to ordain the monks as follows: "Ten precepts by establishing, keeping by hoping, all precepts, two hundred and twenty-seven are finished, should be considered, Ten precepts are dimmed, two hundred deaths." Phor Than Klai passed away on December 5, 1970 at 23.05 hrs., aged 96. Wat That Noi has an area of 46 rai, built on the land that Mr. Klap Ngamprom donated to Phor Than Klai. So he built Phra That Noi in 1961, enshrining the relics of the Lord Buddha and the body of Phor Than Klai, the sacred words in Wat Phra That Noi, so it is considered a memorial stupa of Phor Than Klai.
