Phra That Doi Kham, Luang Pho Than Jai, Chiang Mai Province
Phra That Doi Kham, Luang Por Tan Jai, Chiang Mai Province
Wat Phra That Doi Kham is located in Mae Hia Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. It is a famous temple for making wishes and making vows, and is an important temple in Chiang Mai Province. It is over 1,300 years old. It is located in Doi Kham, behind Royal Park Rajapruek, about 15 kilometers from the city. According to history, in 1966, Wat Doi Kham was an abandoned temple. Later, the crypt was broken into and villagers found many antiques, such as Phra Rod Luang, a large gold-covered sandstone Buddha, and Phra Sam Mo (made of clay), which were enshrined at Wat Phra That Doi Kham. In addition to being a place of worship for local people, Phra That Doi Kham is also another symbol of Thai Airways, which is used to define the visual area before landing at the airport. The highlight of this temple is coming to make wishes to Luang Por Tan Jai, who is believed to grant wishes. Therefore, it is not surprising to see many devotees queuing up to make wishes. How to make wishes from Luang Por Phra Chao Tan Jai and have them come true
To pray to Luang Por Phra Chao Tan Jai, light 3 incense sticks, chant Namo 3 times, then say the mantra “Om Namo Putthaya Ya A Sa Su Mang Cha Pa Ka” and tell us your name. My name is………. and tell us the story in detail.
Then tell Luang Por Phra Chao Tan Jai to help me succeed immediately. When I succeed, I will come to offer 50 jasmine garlands or more. If you want to give more, tell him the amount you want to offer.
To fulfill your vow, do the same thing as the first time. Then tell him that I have brought jasmine flowers to fulfill my vow as I promised. Please accept them. Amen, amen, amen.

Doi Kham Chiangmai
Nice temple to visit during a fresh day as the way up to the temple demands some physical effort. The entrance was free to the view point, to enter the temple you will need to wear appropriate temple attire (cover shoulders and knees for women). Lovely view of the city and on a fresh day the breeze is pleasant.
If you are going on a rainy day the steps can be slippery.
There is no car access to the temple or ramps for people on wheelchairs, I also did not see any place to buy water once you leave the parking at the bottom of the temple.
If you want to take some flower offerings, you can buy them on the road or in the shops near the parking (parking was free of charge) #chiangmaitravel

Wat Phra That Doi Kham, an iconic prayer temple built on the clouds for more than 1,300 years 🏯🙏
Sitting atop the famous Doi Kham hill, the golden Wat Phra That Doi Kham is an iconic prayer temple that combines Buddhist and other religious heritage.
God's stunning and shining golden form, The sides are decorated with snakes and the impressive multi-storied pagoda roofs are admired by pilgrims.
I used to believe that when I look at the historic temple, I feel like I have gone back in time about 1,300 years ago.
Needless to say, the most prominent is the 17-meter-high seated Buddha statue in the sky.
In the monument, which translates to "Golden Hill School" in Thai, there are Buddhist images and galleries, Places to pray around the temple, In addition to the bells for the pilgrims, the statues of lions are also very beautiful.

Wat Phra That Lampang, a great pagoda that is highly valued by Thai people .
Alternatively, there is a wooden temple in Chiang Mai's Lampang town, which is very famous among the Lampang people.
The city of Lampang is full of pagodas, It is a city that is known as a shelter under the shade of temples. 💯🙏
Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is one of Lampang's major tourist attractions and is somewhat similar in appearance to the iconic Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai.
Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is covered by a large forest area, and there are small places where you can take a leisurely walk while looking for interesting things to see inside the temple.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
#songkran2024This temple was highly recommended by the locals in Chiang Mai. We made our way by taxi to the hilltop temple. There were many stray dogs along the way. When we reached the temple, there were numerous vendors near the entrance. We climbed 309 steps to reach the temple. For a small entrance fee, we made our way in. Shoes can not be worn, and women can not show their shoulders or legs. So dress accordingly. I carried a lightweight gauze type shawl and wore long sun dresses during my visit just so I wouldn't be denied access anywhere. I had never been in a temple prior to this. It was beautiful with the morning sun shining on the gold structures, monks praying, offerings, flowers, incense, water, candles, and bells. We spent hours wandering through the property. It's burning season in January, so the views were hazy.

🌈 Chiang Mai, a tree-shaded town in northern Thailand, is a city with a long history, featuring many cultural relics and temples.
🔜🌟 Chiang Mai is second only to 🔺 the capital Bangkok in terms of development, and is most famous for its roses, earning the nickname 'The Rose of the North'.

Cultural Heights: Doi Kham Temple & Panoramic Vista
My visit to Wat Phra That Doi Kham, nestled in the hills of Chiang Mai, was a spiritual sojourn complemented by an awe-inspiring panorama. Ascending the 300 steps to this ancient temple, I was greeted by the majestic sight of a 17-meter tall Buddha statue, an embodiment of serenity and grace.
The temple, steeped in a 1300-year old history, exudes an atmosphere of tranquil reverence, further enhanced by the captivating view from the Doi Kham Panorama View Point. As I gazed upon the expansive vista of Chiang Mai city, the vibrant tapestry of urban life was beautifully contrasted against the serenity of nature's backdrop.
This excursion to Wat Phra That Doi Kham and the panoramic viewpoint was an enlightening blend of spiritual reflection and natural beauty, a testament to the harmonious coexistence of culture and nature.

Wat Phra That Doi Kham, located on a mountain outside Chiang Mai
Wat Phra That Doi Kham is located on a mountain on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. It is said to be more popular than Doi Suthep among Thai people. It is famous that your wishes will come true if you visit the Luang Por Thanjai Buddha, and many people visit the temple hoping to win the lottery. If your wish comes true, it is said that it is good to offer more than 50 jasmine garlands as a thank you. That is why there are so many jasmine garlands being sold on the roadside along the way. It is located on top of a mountain, so the view is also amazing! Doi Suthep is good, but I also recommend this one!

Wat Phra That Doi Kham (Suwannabanphot Temple) 🙏🏻🌅🎋🎍🪷
Luang Por Tan Jai 🙏🏻🪷 is one of the famous sacred Buddha images of Chiang Mai, over five hundred years old. It is said that if you have problems or want to pray for success in anything, pray to Luang Por Tan Jai with jasmine flowers. Then your wish will come true quickly. But it also depends on the merit of each person. This temple is over 1,300 years old. It is located in Doi Kham, behind Royal Park Rajapruek. On the way up to the temple, you will see vendors all the way until it has become a symbol. There are many places to worship at the temple. If you come to worship in the afternoon, the table will be full of jasmine flowers. It is a good indicator of success. If anyone comes to visit on the lottery day, you have to be patient because there are a lot of people coming to pray for lottery numbers. I would like to tell you that my uncle prayed at this temple and won the first prize in the lottery. 😍🫶🏻🙏🏻🪷🪷
