Located in Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, formerly known as Wat Phra Borommathat. It is one of the most important sacred places in the South and Thailand. The highlight of the temple is the Phra Borommathat Chedi, which houses the relics of the Buddha. The original chedi is in the Srivijaya style, similar to the Kirivehera Chedi in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, which is astonishing. The Phra That has no shadow cast on the ground, regardless of the direction of the sunlight. People refer to it as the Shadowless Phra That.

Fun and unique experience visiting this place. Full of historical monuments with interesting back stories. A lot of insta-worthy areas/statues/landscapes for you to take pictures, whether you’re a solo traveler, visiting the place as part of a tourist group or travelling with your loved ones. Surrounding the area, there are a lot of food stalls for you to choose from, and what’s more, street foods and drinks in Thailand are always delectable, affordable with a lot of varieties to choose from. I travel here under a tourist group, but I wish I can come back to Thailand again to explore more of Thailand. #tripblazers

Shadowless Stupa: Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan
"Shadowless Phra That" #NakhonSiThammarat ⛪️
Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan or as Nakhon Si Thammarat people call it, Wat Phra That, a sacred ancient site, the center of the hearts of Nakhon Si Thammarat people and a symbol of the province. The Phra Borommathat Chedi enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha. It is worth visiting to pay homage and pray 🙏
For Unseen #ShadowlessPhraThat, the chedi will not cast a shadow on the ground no matter where the sunlight shines. There is still no answer as to why, making the Phra Borommathat Chedi one of the unseen places in Thailand🥳‼️🤓☀️
