The Thermal Wonderland!
Wai o tapu is one of the the must visit tourist attraction if you are traveling in the north island of New Zealand!
Located just a short drive away from the city of Taupo or Rotorua, and it will be good to have about 2 hours to visit this place.
There are many unique feature which you can see over here, with one of the most iconic one to be the colorful Champagne pool(shown in cover photo). It is truly an amazing sight to watch and at times you can even watch the eruption of the Lady Knox Geyser!
Other features includes steaming ground, bubbling mud, volcanic craters and many other really cool natural sights.
Coming from a city country, this place has greatly increased my knowledge of geography and I never knew such things existed before!

Astonishing... 🤯This is Actually Nature's Creation
Welcome to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, a place where nature’s artistry is on full display. 🌋✨
As soon as I stepped into this geothermal wonderland, I was greeted by a symphony of colors and the distinctive smell of sulfur. The vibrant hues of the pools and the constant steam rising from the ground made me feel like I had entered another world.
#### Highlights of My Visit:
1. **Devil’s Pool** 😈
The first sight that left me absolutely stunned was the Devil’s Pool. The neon green color of the water is so vivid and surreal that it’s hard to believe it’s natural. This striking color is due to the high concentration of sulfur and other minerals in the water.
2. **Champagne Pool** 🍾
This enormous hot spring is named for the constant bubbles of carbon dioxide that rise to the surface, resembling a glass of champagne. The misty, ethereal atmosphere around the pool adds to its magical allure. It’s also a famous spot where celebrities like Liu Shishi and Wu Qilong took their wedding photos!
3. **Lady Knox Geyser** 🌋
Watching the Lady Knox Geyser erupt was a highlight of the trip. Every day at 10:15 AM, park staff induce an eruption by adding soap to the geyser, causing it to shoot water up to 20 meters into the air. Make sure to arrive early to get a good spot!
#### Practical Information:
📍Address: State Highway 5, 28 km south of Rotorua, Wai-O-Tapu 3073, New Zealand
🕰️Business Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (last entry at 3 PM)
💰Price: $40 (includes entry to the geyser)

God's palette, a bit beautiful and a bit smelly.
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is one of the most famous attractions in Rotorua or even in New Zealand. It is located on the edge of the Taupo Volcanic Zone. The boiling mud pools, hot springs of different colors, and huge volcanic craters are the most iconic volcanic landscapes and geothermal wonders.
The park is not big. You can see all the beautiful scenery by walking two of the three trails to the Champagne Pool. Only credit cards are accepted for payment. After buying a ticket, you will get a stamp on your hand, which is the ticket for admission.
There is a geyser show at 10:15 in the morning, which is very spectacular. It is recommended to go early if possible. It is a few minutes' drive from the ticket office.
In general, the Champagne Pool is uniquely beautiful. Liu Shishi has a good taste, hahaha

⭕ The wedding photo shoot location for celebrities Nicky Wu and Cecilia Liu, very photogenic.

⭕ Like the town of ROTORUA, the entire park is filled with the smell of rotten eggs (sulfur). It's suggested online to wear a mask, but personally, I think it's fine either way (didn't see anyone wearing one). In any case, be safe.

Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland
#WinHong KongFlight Visiting the wonders of Waiotapu Hotland is an amazing natural journey. The Waiotapu Geothermal Area, located on the North Island of New Zealand, is famous for its diverse and gorgeous geothermal landscapes. Wandering around this scenic area, you can see a variety of amazing geological wonders, such as colorful lakes, hot springs emitting sulfur smoke, hot steam fountains and strange geothermal holes. One of the most famous attractions is the Color Pool, which is stunning with its brilliant colors and unique geological landscape. In addition, attractions such as the "Cream Pool" and "Bubble Pool" also have their own characteristics, making people linger. In this magical land, I not only felt the miraculous workmanship of nature, but also experienced the energy and vitality deep in the earth. This trip gave me a deeper understanding of geology and made me fascinated by the wonders of nature. Overall, the Wonders of Waiotapu Hotland was an unforgettable adventure and I will always cherish the memories of that unique landscape.

The park was incredible! Definitely worth the visit. The walk itself isn't that long, but it takes a while because every few feet you're stopping in awe to look at the next thing. It gets pretty hot there so make sure to bring water with you! #wintergetaway

It cost me the most expensive entrance fee, an adult wants 32.5NZD, but it is worth the money. The geothermal park is actually composed of two parts, one is the Lady
Knox Geyser area not far from the northeast of the visitor center; the other part is located at the southwest end. Tourist Park's main tourist area (ThermalPark).
The order of the tour is from the SH5 down to the main entrance, drive for two minutes, marked on the map of the Waiotapu
Thermal Track, there is also a mud pool Mud pool, which is the largest in New Zealand. The main tourist area is particularly large, divided into large circles and small circles. It takes nearly 2 hours to complete the big circle. It takes 45 minutes to take the shortest route and only visit the main attractions. The
Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park is a miniature Yellowstone Park that has been formed by thousands of years of volcanic activity. There are three very interesting geothermal pools inside.
One of them is Artist's Palette (artist's palette). The
name is very artistic, and the real color pool that you actually see is also like a palette. The different colors of the stroke in the water are due to different trace elements. Green is from ferrous salt, yellow is from sulphur, orange is from sputum, and brown is from iron oxide. The Champagne Pool is the symbol of the Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park and a place for Wu Qilong and Liu Shishi to take wedding photos.
Maple.
There are many volcanoes and hot springs in the North Island of New Zealand, and Waiotap is the most famous geothermal park in the North Island. Because of the volcanic movement, the groundwater here forms a natural geothermal hot spring, and some can even reach 100 degrees, so we have to feel the magic of nature. Let's go here on New Year's Day holiday, take the children to feel the magic of nature and witness the best nature!
Winnie
Wu Qilong and Liu Shishi filmed wedding photos here. Rotorua is a Maori language meaning double lake. The city is full of hot springs and the suburbs are densely forested. The lake is bright, the mountains are blurred, the birds are playing in the water, the seagulls are flying in the air, the air is sulphur-filled, the hot springs are muddy, and the mud is boiling. Walk in the park to enjoy the Champagne Pool, Steaming Ground, and soak. Bubbling Mud, colorful pools, expansive views, huge craters, unique ladders of molten pulp. When I left, I encountered a Bugatti classic car activity, and the saliva flowed to the ground.

Come to the Waiotapu Geothermal Park, where there is a famous geyser that erupts at 10:15 every day. The fountain can reach up to 20 meters for up to 1 hour. .
There are also colorful geothermal wonders to see the colorful champagne pool and feel the magical power of nature. The geyser erupted on time every day, but it was not his own eruption. Instead, the staff put soapy water inside, and then began to erupt slowly, still quite spectacular.
After watching the fountain, you can go directly to the geothermal park. The Waiotapu Geothermal Park is one of New Zealand's heavyweight geothermal parks. How is it a heavyweight? Even Liu Shishi and Wu Qilong come here to take a wedding dress. Photo, is it very heavyweight? The biggest feature of
geothermal park is the colorful, you will marvel at the magical power of nature. There are a total of 26 natural landscapes in the park, including the famous Champagne Pool and the Knox Lady Geyser. The picture above is the Champagne Pool. I just want to take a drink.
Geothermal Park is located about 30 kilometers south of Rotorua, along the park trails to see the amazing active volcanic landscape and geothermal phenomenon, the park is still very large, we walked for more than an hour If you don't go halfway, you choose to give up. There is a coffee shop at the entrance to the park. You can have something to eat over there. Drinking coffee is a good choice.
