Wulong, Chongqing, the filming location of Curse of the Golden Flower.
⛰Chongqing is a big, big city
✨The Three Natural Bridges are a must-see for any trip to Chongqing
This is the filming location of Curse of the Golden Flower
You can visit all year round,
But the best time to visit is when the mountains and rivers are green
Chongqing in August and September are two different landscapes
Chongqing in August has beautiful mountains and rivers, and is a peak tourist season with many visitors
In September, the mountains are still green, but the rivers are gradually drying up, and there are fewer visitors
I recommend visiting in early summer to get the best of both
✅I recommend taking the elevator down to the sinkhole and starting from Point 1, where you can overlook the filming location of Curse of the Golden Flower. If you're a photography enthusiast, a telephoto lens will give you a great sense of visual compression!
✅Keep moving forward and don't turn back. The scenery is beautiful all the way, and you'll want to live in it!

Wulong 🇨🇳 Chongqing
Wulong is home to fairy mountain, the natural bridges and a number of cool gorges. Used in the filming of Transformers (there are reminders of this everywhere) it's a great location for half a day of taking in some greenery.
Getting There- Wulong isn't the easiest it cheapest option for a day hike. The first way is to take a taxi from Chongqing city. This will cost around 600rmb one way and take almost 3 hours. The other options are to take the fast train or bus to Wulong and then taxi to the scenic area, which is almost an hour away.
Attractions- There are hiking routes through the scenic area and busses are set up to drop you off at the start point and pick you up at the end.

Wulong karst
One of the best day trips from Chongqing is visiting Wulong three bridges. Getting here is very easy, from chongqing the trains run very often to Wulong. Upon arriving, there are buses which depart from the railway entrance to the three bridges which takes about 40 minutes.
Wulong's attractions are mainly natural scenery, and many of them had been listed at World Natural Heritages. There are four hottest attractions: Three Natural Bridges of world wonder, magical Furong Cave, Fairy Mountain with vast grassland and the magnificent Longshuixia Gap. Wulong is just the kind of place where you'll be amazed by the uncanny workmanship of nature.

Must see in Wulong, Chongqing
📍 Getting There - Taxi to Chongqing North train station, train from there to Wulong station, take a taxi from there to Wulong tourist centre. Do exactly the same on the way back. Just check the trains (as there aren’t many). You could get bus from Wulong to Chongqing too!
⭐️ Attractions - Buy a ticket at the Wulong tourist centre for three bridges (make sure you take your passport, QR codes and 48 hour Chongqing Covid test). After, a bus takes you from the tourist centre to the place. It’s a 4km walk through some beautiful scenery.
🏨 Hotels - Not too many hotels there so I booked the Glenview Hotel which is central Chongqing (10 mins from the train station).
👤 A special thank you to Nina from the Wulong tourist centre who helped me with travel and Covid tests. I’d recommend call the centre and sharing your contact information so it’s easier to communicate.
🌈 I couldn’t find an exact way to get there (based on the reviews) so I’m making this on what I did to hopefully help someone else.

The wonders of nature.
😍 I highly recommend the amazing Wulong Tiankeng and Difeng in Chongqing. You will be amazed by the wonders of nature! 🎉
🌄 Attractions:
🌟 Tiankeng:
The feeling of descending to the bottom of the Tiankeng is truly amazing! It's like entering another world, surrounded by towering cliffs, and the sky becomes a small patch when you look up. This is where "Curse of the Golden Flower" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction" were filmed. Standing in the place where the movies were shot, you really feel like you're in the movie. There are many unique karst landforms in the Tiankeng, such as the huge natural bridge spanning the Tiankeng. It's truly spectacular, and you can't help but marvel at the creativity of nature! 👏
🌟 Difeng:
Difeng is even more amazing. As you walk down the narrow plank road, there are steep cliffs on both sides and a babbling stream underfoot. The sound is crisp and pleasant, as if playing a symphony of nature. The light in the Difeng is a bit dim, adding to the mysterious atmosphere. As you go deeper, you can see waterfalls cascading down from above, with water splashing on your face. It's cool and super comfortable. 😍
📸 Photo Spots:
Taking photos here is like shooting a blockbuster! Whether standing at the bottom of the Tiankeng with the cliffs as the background or on the plank road in the Difeng with waterfalls and streams in the foreground, the photos are full of grandeur and mystery. Posting them on social media will definitely get you a lot of likes. 🤳
💕 Tips:
1. It's best to wear comfortable sneakers when visiting, as there is a lot of walking, especially on the plank road in the Difeng.
2. You can bring a light jacket, as the temperature in some parts of the Tiankeng and Difeng may be slightly lower.
3. The scenic area is quite large, so plan your visit wisely, or you may miss some exciting places.
Wulong Tiankeng and Difeng in Chongqing are must-visit places in your lifetime. Go and experience the unparalleled wonders of nature. Don't miss it! 💕

Day Trip to Wulong
I took a day trip to the Wulong Three Natural Bridges. I traveled on an old traditional green train, departing from Chongqing North Station to Wulong, which took about two hours. I spent too much time at the Three Natural Bridges and, unfortunately, didn't manage to visit my other planned destination, Xiannüshan (Fairy Mountain), because the last train back to Chongqing was at 6:45 pm. Wulong is truly worth visiting

A must-see in Wulong - Three Natural Bridges.
It is a World Natural Heritage Site and a rare geological wonder of karst landform.
The Three Natural Bridges are three natural stone arch bridges (Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge) that span the sinkhole. They look like three giant dragons lying across the sinkhole, which is very spectacular.
Standing below, we can better appreciate the power of nature and feel the insignificance of human beings. We have to admire the magical creativity of nature!
🎫Ticket: CNY 125/person in peak season, CNY 95/person in off-season (starting from November 1)
⏰Hours: 8:00–17:00 (last entry at 16:30)

Wulong | Tianlong Three Bridges | What you don't know, must see!
| Tianlong Three Bridges | What you don't know, must see!
Today, let's talk about Tianlong Three Bridges
✨First, let's prepare:
Wulong Xiannushan is about 190 kilometers away from Chongqing's main urban area (Yuzhong District), with a driving time of about 3 hours.
Check the weather forecast (Remember: sunscreen, jacket, umbrella, comfortable shoes) It may rain suddenly🌧️
👉🏻Hotel, mountain humidity, be mentally prepared
👉🏻Carry your ID with you (ID card, preferential certificate, disability certificate)
✨Whether you are traveling independently or with a tour group (independent travelers take the express bus from the visitor center to the entrance of Tiankeng, tour groups can take their own bus to the entrance of Tiankeng)
There are currently three passages to Tiankeng:
1️⃣:
Tickets include free elevator, this is Channel 1, but if you see that the queue has already reached more than half of the roadside awning, it is not recommended to queue anymore, it will take at least 1.5 hours to get to the elevator! Note⚠️ The elevator does not reach the bottom of the pit!
2️⃣:
Walking, there are more than 1,400 steps, this is Channel 2, it takes about half an hour to go down, and it goes directly to the bottom of the pit (a bit tiring/::'(the kind that shakes)
3️⃣:
50 yuan for a rotating elevator, this is Channel 3, easy to walk, less stairs, you can see the scenery that the other two entrances cannot see, it's beautiful! (This is the most controversial)
Let me make a distinction:
The free elevator can see the scenery in Figure 1, which is the bottom of Tianlong Bridge. After getting off the elevator, it is still very steep and tiring. The main thing is that the queue is very long. However, it is said that this elevator will be closed during National Day (not sure if it is true)
The 50 yuan rotating elevator includes a glass jump platform, an 800-meter mountainside栈道, you can see Tianlong Grand Canyon, the rotating elevator does not need to queue much, it is easier to walk when you go down, there are basically not many stairs, the elevator is more than 100 meters long, during the descent, the elevator will turn in the middle, this is the longest rotating elevator in Asia!
✨Tour route: Tianlong Bridge - Qinglong Bridge - Black Dragon Bridge
Many friends always ask, where is the bridge? Why can't I see it!
Let me tell you, the stone between the two mountains is the bridge, Tianqiao Tianqiao!
The tour route is in the order of Tianlong Bridge - Tianlong Tiankeng - Qinglong Bridge - Carp Leaping Dragon Gate - Shenying Tiankeng - Four Springs - Black Dragon Bridge - Big Gorilla - Then keep going forward to reach the small electric car that takes you out of Tiankeng (Note⚠️ All tickets do not include scenic area shuttle bus, this small electric car needs to be paid separately, 15 yuan, 2 minutes to go up, walking, 1 kilometer, stairs to finish) Whether it is walking or electric car, the destination is Qingfeng Pavilion, transfer to the scenic area bus and get off at Night Banquet (next to the visitor center)

Three Natural Bridges - Fantastic scenery
#myhiddengems ### Three Natural Bridges, Chongqing
The Three Natural Bridges in Chongqing, China, are a breathtaking geological wonder located in the Wulong Karst National Geology Park. These natural limestone arch bridges—Tianlong (Heavenly Dragon), Qinglong (Azure Dragon), and Heilong (Black Dragon)—are among the world's largest and most magnificent karst landscapes. Formed over millions of years by the erosive power of water, they stand as a testament to the beauty and grandeur of nature's craftsmanship.
**Tianlong Bridge** is the tallest and most majestic of the three, soaring to a height of approximately 235 meters (771 feet). Its sheer size and the lush greenery surrounding it make it a striking sight. This bridge, like the others, was formed by the collapse of an underground cave system, creating a natural archway that now towers over the landscape.
**Qinglong Bridge**, slightly smaller but no less impressive, is characterized by its unique curved structure and the vibrant vegetation that clings to its surface. The interplay of light and shadow here is particularly enchanting, as sunlight filters through the dense foliage, creating a mystical atmosphere.
**Heilong Bridge** is the most secluded and serene of the trio. This bridge is often enveloped in mist, adding to its mysterious allure. The tranquil stream that runs beneath it adds to the sense of peace and seclusion that visitors often feel when they explore this area.
The entire area around the Three Natural Bridges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its exceptional natural beauty and geological significance. In addition to the bridges themselves, the surrounding Wulong Karst region is home to deep gorges, waterfalls, and caves, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a landscape that feels almost otherworldly.
These natural bridges have also gained fame as a filming location, most notably serving as a backdrop in the film "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Their cinematic grandeur has attracted visitors from around the world, eager to witness these natural marvels in person.
Visiting the Three Natural Bridges is a journey into the heart of nature, where the sheer scale and beauty of the formations remind us of the incredible forces that have shaped our planet over millions of years.

My social media is blowing up! I actually traveled to the world of a xianxia novel
Without leaving the main city of Chongqing, I found a hidden xianxia world in Wulong.
This place is the Three Natural Bridges.
A typical karst landscape with a vertical depth of 350m.
Magnificent and rugged.
It is said to be the largest natural bridge group in Asia.
I can't help but marvel at the craftsmanship of nature again.

✅ Attached is a travel guide, please like and save it first 💃
It takes two and a half hours to reach the entrance of the scenic spot from the main city of Chongqing.
Take a hundred-meter-high elevator down to the valley to reach Tianlong Bridge.
Walking down, you can take aerial shots of Tianlong Bridge and Tianfu Inn.
'Curse of the Golden Flower', 'Transformers 4', and 'Where Are We Going, Dad?' were all filmed here.
The mysterious tranquility in the sinkhole and the Tianfu Inn at the bottom of the valley are very much like the paradise in xianxia novels.
This place is very suitable for taking martial arts style photos. It is recommended to prepare a set of ancient costumes and props. The photos taken are really amazing 😄
Going further down, you will pass Qinglong Bridge, which integrates caves, karst caves, and water flows. The bridge hole looks like a Green Dragon Crescent Blade, reflecting on the water surface, resembling a traditional Chinese ink painting.
Continuing forward, you will pass Heilong Bridge, which is high and long, with dim light. When you walk out and look up, you will see an eagle circling the mountain peak, truly a breathtaking masterpiece of nature.

Three Natural Bridges, a photography paradise
Wulong's Three Natural Bridges are located in the southern part of Fairy Mountain. From the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center, take the scenic area shuttle bus to the entrance of the Three Natural Bridges scenic area. A giant Transformer Bumblebee guards the entrance of the Three Natural Bridges scenic area, as this was the filming location for the movie 'Transformers 4'. After entering the scenic area and walking for a while, you will take a vertical elevator built along the steep cliff, directly descending to the bottom of the first bridge of the Three Natural Bridges. The Three Natural Bridges are a signature karst landscape of Wulong.

⛺【Travel Tips】:
👟 First, be sure to wear comfortable sports shoes, as there is quite a bit of walking involved. 🚶♂️ Otherwise, your feet might protest. 😜

🍫 Prepare some delicious snacks and plenty of water to keep your energy up and make your trip full of vitality. 💪
🛬【Itinerary】:
🎈 Start from the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center, take the shuttle bus, and head to the Tiankeng Scenic Area with great anticipation. 🚌
✨ Upon arriving at the Tiankeng Scenic Area, remember to choose the old sightseeing elevator (Tianlong Bridge) to enter; this is the most classic route! 😎 Along the way, you will encounter many amazing attractions such as Shengxiang Yingbin, Tianfu Official Post (Tianlong Tiankeng), Qinglong Bridge, Shenying Tiankeng, Heilong Bridge, Longquan Cave, and Longquan Hall (Couple Stone). 🤩 Inside the Tiankeng, various vivid natural landscapes await your discovery, such as the Big Knife Reflection, which seems to take you back to an ancient battlefield. 🗡️ The Shenying Spreading Wings is incredibly lifelike, like a giant divine eagle about to soar into the sky. 🦅 The One Hand Covers the Sky, feel the majesty of nature. 🙌 The Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate brings you good luck. 🐟 And the cute gorilla is full of charm. 🐒 The Couple Stone witnesses romantic love. 💕 Especially after taking the old elevator down, passing by Shengxiang Yingbin and through the Maze Cave under Tianlong Bridge, this is definitely the best spot for photographing Tianfu Official Post; every shot is a masterpiece. 📷

🧡【Tips】:
💡 During the peak tourist season in summer, even if there are many people, do not choose to walk down or take the rotating elevator. Insist on waiting in line for the old elevator to ensure the best tour sequence. 😉
🙅♂️ The glass sightseeing platform and rotating elevator are not recommended as they are not cost-effective and will affect your tour route. 😒
👂 During the tour, you can ask passing guides about the locations of the mist springs, pearl springs, one-line springs, and three-tier springs on the cave walls under Heilong Bridge. If you're lucky, you might see a rainbow under the light, which is incredibly beautiful! 🌈

Three Natural Bridges Scenic Spot: Geirgious Nature
#hikingtime
These stunning natural stone bridges used to be part of caves until the ground beneath them caved in, leaving craters and breathtaking limestone arches known as the Three Natural Bridges, or Tiansheng Sanqiao. The Chinese names of the bridges are translated as "Heavenly Dragon", "Azure (or green) Dragon" and "Black Dragon".
Calcite formations are still visible on some of the cliffs, and waterfalls with bizarre names fall from above. The outpost, located between the first and second bridges, was once used for filming a scene in the film "The Curse of the Golden Flower".
The Three Natural Bridges are a series of natural limestone bridges located in Xiangnyushan City, Wulong County, Chongqing Municipality, China. They are located on the territory of the Wulong Karst National Geological Park, which, in turn, is part of the South China Karst - Wulong Karst, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The three natural bridges are a series formed in limestone in Xiangnyushan, China. Its greatness is conveyed by simply looking at the photographs, striking in their monumental size and bewildering in the face of such immensity.
Being in the midst of this natural beauty, you feel really insignificant, because its walls reach a height of 246 meters. To get to the base where the bridges are located, you need to go to the parking lot, from where you can take a glass elevator down the gorge to several stairs. After lowering them between the largest of the three bridges is Tianlong, you will be able to appreciate the splendor of these thousand-year-old rocks, where the bridges were stretched naturally.
These arches are among the largest in the world and are surrounded by a series of sinkholes, that is, large underground chasms through which you can go on an excursion that is hardly like any other that can be done in the world. An entrance fee must be paid to enter.
In Hay Long, waterfalls begin immediately at the entrance, which are a magnificent sight. To return to the parking lot, you can climb the 1000 steps past the third bridge or use the short staircase and elevator, repeating the previous path. Of course, there is a separate fee for using the elevator. Without a doubt, the Three natural Wulong Bridges should be on the list of Chinese attractions to visit.

Travel to Wulong, Chongqing, visiting the Three Natural Bridges and the 'Impression Wulong' show for the third time
Friends say: This summer, we have been on the road all the time. 🌍Traveling is not just about reaching the destination, but also about the scenery along the way and the growth within. Spending the summer with the kids, the roads we walked, the scenery we saw, will all become the most precious wealth in our lives.
Visiting Wulong for the third time, the Wulong trip is a spiritual cleansing. Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, get close to nature, feel its tranquility and harmony, and let your mind completely relax. The combination of culture and nature is Wulong's unique charm. Wulong has several 5A-level scenic spots, with stunning natural scenery and rich natural history worth exploring. From ancient fossils to the formation of karst landscapes... every place exudes unique charm, making it unforgettable.
Recommended places:
1. Wulong Karst Natural Heritage Museum: Wulong Karst Leisure Cultural Center, with an exhibition space of 5800 square meters, is a comprehensive museum integrating science education, cultural display, and ecological tourism. It is a very new museum with few people. For those traveling to Wulong, especially those bringing kids for study tours, it is a must-visit to learn about geography and popularize landforms... etc.
The museum aims to support its content with systematic, detailed, and substantial information, deeply displaying and analyzing the scientific knowledge and research value behind it, enhancing visitors' understanding and comprehension of karst geology and landforms. The overall style of the museum adopts a design method combining modern and traditional elements, showcasing the unique charm of Wulong's karst geology and rich historical culture through experiential projects like flying cinema, 5D cinema, and VR. The museum is divided into three floors, with five exhibition halls: 'Thousand Rocks and Faces,' 'Encounter of Lava and Water,' 'Cave Exploration,' 'Dance of Life,' and 'Transcendental Wulong.' Each exhibition hall has its unique theme and content, allowing us to fully and multi-dimensionally understand the charm and value of Wulong Karst through interactive experiences, multimedia exhibits, and physical displays.
2. Three Natural Bridges: Located in Fairy Mountain Town, it is a typical karst landscape with characteristics such as 'majestic, strange, dangerous, beautiful, secluded, and unique.' It is a landmark scenic spot in Wulong. The three bridges are Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge, which are naturally formed stone arch bridges created by natural crustal movements. The three naturally formed stone bridges span the canyon, like the masterpiece of nature, making people marvel at the magical charm of nature. The Three Natural Bridges are known for their grandeur and magnificence.
Special introduction to Tianfu Official Post, an important cultural site in the scenic area, built in the second year of Tang Wude (619 AD), it was an important post station for official information transmission between ancient Fuzhou and Qianzhou. This ancient and mysterious post station became famous worldwide as the filming location for the movie 'Curse of the Golden Flower,' and other well-known domestic and international films like 'Transformers 4' and 'Eternal Love' were also shot here. Yuhui also visited this place, calling for everyone to come to Wulong and fully appreciate the unique charm of the karst landscape. We visited this place for the third time, with a special obsession with Wulong. Seeing the glass platform still makes our legs weak with fear 😱, and we were also shocked by the crowds at the Three Natural Bridges. We knew it was popular, but we didn't expect it to be this crowded, with people everywhere.
Highly recommend watching 'Impression Wulong,' where nearly 200 featured actors perform live with real emotions, mainly focusing on the nearly extinct Sichuan River 'Haozi,' allowing everyone to understand Chongqing's riverside life culture through the performance: men's way of making a living by pulling fiber on the riverbank, women's crying marriage customs, strong and brave women supporting their families, the origin of hotpot... Everyone can sing the long-lost 'Haozi' and folk songs together, personally experiencing the magnificent scenery of the natural heritage site and the unique customs of the Bashu land.
The theater is located in Taoyuan Grand Canyon, about 9 kilometers from Fairy Mountain Town. The canyon is 'U'-shaped, with a height difference of 180 meters, mysterious distant mountains, majestic nearby mountains, and serene ravines. The theater's choice not only protects the ecology but also provides an excellent performance space. The theater is designed with 2688 audience seats, with the stage extending to the stands, integrating the stands into the stage, allowing zero-distance interaction and communication between actors and the audience, with a flowing crowd and abundant wealth.
Wulong of the world, natural heritage. Besides the recommended places above, there are also Tiankeng Longshui Gorge, Fairy Mountain National Forest Park with highland meadows for summer resort, Furong Cave, an underground art palace... There are too many natural sceneries and cultural landscapes worth visiting, making it a tourist destination with rich tourism resources that attract everyone to visit and linger.
