The Sanctuary of Truth Pattaya
A must visit attraction in Pattaya, Thailand 🇹🇭
The largest wooden castle in the world 🌍
It is an impressive work of art!
I was able to see how the workers were carving intricate details of wood. The establishment itself was huge. We went there in the afternoon and we’re so lucky we were able to attend the last scheduled time for english tour. The tour guide was really nice and was explaining regarding the 7 truths of life.
It’s really this typical touristy place that you would go. It was only 420 baht in trip.com. Overall, it was a great experience.

A window into the making of a man-made wonder
The Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya. Not only was this one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited, but it even provides an open look into how this man-made wonder was created.
To enter the sanctuary of truth you have to follow one of the guided tours, but it’s no trouble as they run regularly, are offered in many languages, and are included in your ticket price.
The first stop of the tour is the one I found most interesting, a look into the workshop where each handcrafted wooden statue is made. You get to see a scale model of the building, finished statues yet to be installed, and watch artists carve new statues right in front of you. Because even though it’s already so huge and intricate, the Sanctuary of Truth is still being built and worked on today.
One point our guide made sure to emphasise, was that the Sanctuary was a museum and not a temple. It’s a structure that takes inspiration from Buddhist temples around the world. But don’t let this trick you, you still need to wear modest clothing to enter!
During the tour, our guide explained some of the museum’s history and the meaning behind the scenes depicted in the walls. Each hand crafted detail was thoroughly planned and tells a story.
Then after the tour is done, you’re free to roam the Sanctuary on your own. There are even signs guiding you to the most iconic photo spots! We were allowed to stay until 6pm, and as we’d arrived at 1pm, that was ample time to explore every corner.
Once you’ve had your fill of the Sanctuary, there’s still plenty of sights to see just outside. The open sea, secluded lakes, and even a small animal farm with goats, deer, and reindeer.
Overall I think the Sanctuary of Truth is a must see if you’re in Pattaya! It has a bit of everything: hundreds of photo opportunities, a look into the local Buddhist values, and a stunning display of artistic talent for art lovers like myself!

Second Stop: Mini Siam. Tickets can also be purchased online.

5-day free travel in Thailand (Pattaya + Bangkok
🇹🇭5-day free travel in Thailand (Pattaya + Bangkok)
Hit the key points‼ ️: You don’t have to wait too long to pass the customs. I went during May Day. The flight arrived at around 6pm✈️, and the bus to Pattaya was at 9pm🕘🚌. I arrived at the boarding point at 7pm. I didn’t want to wait, so I took a taxi directly. The bus costs 1800🐷. It’s a huge loss if you don’t plan the time well. It is recommended to buy tickets for two times in advance😈
Pattaya: Airplane Night Market ➡️Grand Island ➡️Internet Celebrity Grilled Seafood ➡️Ma Sha Chicken ➡️Sanctuary of Truth
The food at the airplane night market✈️ is delicious and not expensive. I recommend the grilled seafood🦞 and freshly squeezed juice🍹
The scenery of Grand Island is pretty good. Take a speedboat to Grand Island. It takes about 20 minutes (it really knocks you to death and your internal organs hurt). It costs 150🐷/person at the P1 Pier and 200🐷/person at the P2 Pier. We are here P2 pier (it is best to wear slippers, sandals, etc., the speedboat will directly put people into the water)
I lay down almost all the time on Koh Klang, having some drinks and enjoying the sea breeze. It was quite relaxing. I took a big boat back in the afternoon for 30🐷/person and returned to Pattaya in about 45 minutes.
Pattaya Seafood Buffet: Jomtien Talay Pao (best to go before 8 o'clock, no reception after 8 o'clock), recommendation index 5🌟, more than 400🐷 per person, the seafood is very fresh, but the location is relatively remote, after the meal I couldn’t take a taxi after 8 o’clock when I came out, so I walked 1km before I got on a songthaew🥱
The Temple of Truth is highly recommended 👍 (it’s cheaper to buy tickets online in advance, and you have to wait 1 hour to pick up your tickets online) ⚠️Girls are not allowed to wear suspenders, and boys’ shorts must be above the knees. You can borrow shawls and shawls for free before entering. Pants, deposit 200🐷/piece, deposit will be refunded when returned
Bangkok: Bangkok Museum➡️Wat Arun➡️Siam Business District➡️siam icon➡️Chulalongkorn Walking Street
I spent a day visiting the Bangkok Museum, recommended 👍
The photo of Temple Arun was taken on the other side of the river. Choose a restaurant on the other side of the river, order a drink🍺, and wait for the sunset🌄. It’s very comfortable. Recommendation index 5🌟
There are many luxury brands in siam icon, which is very easy to shop. There is a floating market on the G floor. There is a lot of food. It is good to shop but hard to eat☹️
Chulalongkorn Walking Street is really boring and not delicious.
Two recommended restaurants in Bangkok:
1️⃣Tamnanthai recommendation index 5🌟
The location is near Nana Bar Street, the per capita cost is about 700🐷, the environment is good, and the food tastes good👍
2️⃣ Krua Khun Puk Recommendation Index 4🌟
The location is at BTS Nana station, the per capita price is about 300🐷. It is a semi-outdoor restaurant. Apart from being very hot, there is nothing wrong with it😅
Hotel 🏨
pattern
Bangkok: Maison Hotel, in Bar Street. When I returned to the hotel at night, the street was full of people standing on the street. It was too taboo for me😅. The hotel is very new and clean. The rooms are also good, but they are not very soundproof.

The Sanctuary Koh Phangan
My stay at The Sanctuary Koh Phangan was a perfect retreat and experience. The resort is located on the picturesque island of Koh Phangan, offering a quiet and relaxing environment. I enjoyed staying in a private villa overlooking the lush green sea and pristine sandy beaches. I benefited from the relaxation and wellness experiences at the resort's spa and swimming pool. The Sanctuary is distinguished by its gourmet restaurant that offers healthy cuisine and delicious flavors. I explored the island's enchanting landscapes and participated in exciting water activities such as diving and kayaking. My stay at The Sanctuary Koh Phangan was a rejuvenating experience for both the soul and body.

A Must-Visit Museum That Will Leave You in Awe
Today, I explored The Sanctuary of Truth, known locally as the Temple of Truth. Despite its name, this is actually a museum. Constructed in 1981, the entire structure is an extraordinary feat of woodwork, assembled without a single nail, using only wedges and pins for its internal architecture. The museum is a testament to the essence of Buddhism, with its detailed wooden sculptures filling every nook and cranny, and the craftsmanship is nothing short of stunning! The sanctuary's theme revolves around the connection between humans and the cosmos. My visit was filled with awe, a sense of peace, and deep admiration for the artisans' talents. It is a highly recommended experience!
Tips: 1. Remember to wear long pants and long skirts, as the entrance offers rentals if you forget. 2. Purchase your ticket for 500 baht each, but be sure to check the official website for any potential discount promotions before you go.

Seaside Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya
Getting There - It is quite far out so getting a car would be recommended.
Attractions - The Sanctuary of Truth Museum is a hand carved wooden structure that sits beside the sea. It is absolutely beautiful and definitely a must see if you are in the Bangkok or Pattaya area.
Hotels - Stay in Hotels further North of Pattaya as they are closer to this attraction and it is a nicer area.
Food & Restaurants - When here wait until you come back up from the museum to eat authentic Thai food. There is a restaurant outside the main building but it is mostly low quality western foods.

If you go to Pattaya, be sure to visit the Sanctuary of Truth
It is a magnificent all-wood structure standing on the coast of Pattaya. It was started in 1981 and has been continuously repaired for decades due to the erosion of the sea breeze. It is still under construction, but it does not affect its exquisite and superb artistic achievements.
📍Address: Search Sanctuary of Truth on Google Maps
The temple is by the sea, the map will show that there is a distance, you must park and buy tickets to walk in
🚗Transportation: Recommend renting a motorcycle for self-driving (note that you must wear a helmet, otherwise the traffic police will definitely catch)
💰Cost: 500 baht/person
👔Dress: Avoid backless, ultra-short pants, etc.
The Sanctuary of Truth, also known as the Sanctuary of Truth, is located at the Ratchavete Cape in Pattaya, Chonburi, and was funded by the businessman Lek Viriyaphant. After the businessman passed away, his descendants continued to improve it.
Rather than saying that this is a temple, it is better to say that this is an exquisite religious art work. The entire building does not use a nail, every corner shows the carpenter's ingenuity, the shape is magnificent and solemn without losing elegance. Every corner is worth savoring.
The wood carving art in the temple is unique, with many themes showing the relationship between man and the universe, leading people to good. There are also relics of masters from all generations in the temple for people to admire.
There are also elephants in the temple for tourists to ride and feed, and the seaside scenery in the temple is definitely worth a look.

The Sanctuary of Truth is a never-ending museum
Located by the sea in Pattaya, it is more of a religious art piece than a temple, because it is a building entirely constructed from rosewood and teak, without a single nail, all combined by wedges, tongues and bolts.
🏯 The interior is divided into seven parts: heaven, hell, patrilineal, matrilineal, moon, sun, and stars, reflecting the concepts of life, reincarnation, universe, and utopia in Thai philosophy✨. It also features lifelike sculptures of Buddhism and Hinduism, which are awe-inspiring.
Since 1981, a Thai businessman has funded its construction, which is still ongoing, so everyone entering must wear a construction site safety helmet. Inside, you can see workers carving wood, and entering the temple is like entering an exhibition hall of wood carving and architectural art.
Tour tips⭐️
1. It's about four kilometers from the city to the Sanctuary of Truth, and the taxi fare is 80🐷
2. A tour of the Sanctuary of Truth with a guide takes about fifty minutes, and there are other entertainments such as elephant riding, speedboats, and cruises.
3. Clothes need to be over the knee, and you can also rent at the entrance for 200🐷

Magnificent Sanctuary of truth museum
I visited the Sanctuary of truth museum, one of the must-see places when traveling to Pattaya. Every building is made of wood and there is a guide who explains it in different languages of each country, so it was very satisfying to know more about the buildings!
The inner part of the Temple of Truth is 4 halls, made from the concept of life, reincarnation, universe and ideal world in Thai philosophy, and the connection technique of traditional Thai craftsmanship makes the whole building built without using the upper half of a hammer, really awesome.
Open: 08:00-17:00
Entry fee: 500 baht on the spot, 450 baht on the official website.

Santuary Of Truth!
We really wanted to go here because of the amazing structure and Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray walked inside this beautiful piece of art for the event. We were staying in Bangkok during our vacation here. We went to Mochit to take the bus going to Pattaya and when we arrived, we had to take another type of transportation to take us directly here. When we fianally arrived, I was in complete awe seeing the beautiful museum from afar and it was just near the beach so the view was perfect. There is a proper dress code going inside the museum for respect. The museum was really big and it amazed me how hard work the Thai people has put in to this piece of art.

Sanctuary of Truth
I made a trip to Pattaya specifically to see the Sanctuary of Truth, and I was not disappointed. Our guide said the Sanctuary of Truth is technically a contemporary art museum - many sections are unfinished because it is a work in progress. The entire museum is man-made from wood and no nails. The level of detail is incredible, and there are stories in the panels that pay homage to different cultures and religions. We spent over two hours in and around the museum as it was larger than I initially expected.
