The Rise and Fall of Roman Baths
Roman Bath were primarily designed for, well, bathing ang relaxing and were a common feature during the Roman Empire. These feature has, to this date, remained available and even had a town named after it Bath, in Northern England.
While it is no longer used for its intended purpose, with almost 2,000 years of history, The Roman Baths offers a different experience worthy of visit. The large bath (Great Bath) is by far the highlight of the entire bath complex, but the ancient holy spring (Sacred Spring) is just as impressive.
Wander through the large complex of Bath house and enjoy relieving the ways of the past. You will find the walk through its corridors interesting like I did as I encounter some stone writings which were apparently curse notes cast in stones.
While the busiest time is in July and August, a visit in Fall is just perfect at it will allow you to walk around with the just the right sunlight and the Autumn breeze.

Aquae Sulis is Real
So Aquae Sulis is not just town name but it's a person. There is his body remains on display, and all the things that Roman people use for day to day.
Initially I thought it was just town name, but it seems like the name also came from someone; and how can it have the same surname as goddess? Maybe they are family. Both name end with "Sulis", and this person might be the king/emperor of Roman kingdom during that time.
I hate history so I didn't really pay much attention, I adore it's sclupture artifacts and remainings. Imagining what Roman people live like during those ancient time.

Roman Bath
Finally we came in to this Roman Bath! The building have few segments that has museum on it. I'm not really much into history, but I heard this used to be where Roman empire in UK took a bath from rain water. There were also rules apply as in who can took bath here. (no, it's not for us to go and dip in! although it's filled with water.)
There's miniature and details of building design, overall place and name of each segment. I'm amazed on how detail it is, until the small figure of men are also inside. It's quite cute and super hard to make for sure.
Besides, there are also some example of ruins which come from part of this building. Journey start here, more to discover inside!

A glimpse of the well-reserved Roman Baths
Getting There - we booked a day tour to Bath from London
Attractions - The place is located in the city of Bath, Somerset, England. It gives a glimpse of history about how Roman bath was constructed and its development. Walking through the site, you can see the display of the past urban development in this area. How the Roman passed through and designed the bathing house in England. It’s amazing that the whole site dated around 70AD, yet, it’s so well-preserved. Standing there at the Sacred Spring, one definitely can’t help but feel how great human mind was to create such a magnificent complex. At the end of the tour, you can also taste the hot spring’s water.

After picking up the luggage at the hotel, the boat for a long time was a little empty, and I needed an afternoon tea to refresh my body.
Rome The Bathhouse Pump House Restaurant is one of the most elegant afternoon tea restaurants in Bath City. It is inevitable to experience it. There are a lot of customers in the restaurant. There are wonderful performances on the stage. I took a picture. When I went back to the map, I found that the small meat playing the piano was very sweet to my camera. Now I am really handsome. ~
is located next to the Roman Baths and built on the ruins of the baths. It has been a social center of Bath as early as 200 years ago. Many high-ranking gentlemen and ladies go to this side every day. Tea, while chatting about gossip, even the famous writer Jane Austen has been patronizing, looking for inspiration for the work~
If you like "Pride and Prejudice" and want to feel more of Jane Austen's breath, then you must come here. Hey. The massive latticed windows are the hallmark of the Georgian architecture, and things like Jane Austen can be found almost everywhere.
This is our first afternoon tea in the UK. The package name is Jane Austin. The average person is about 26 pounds. The content is a pot of tea brewed in bulk tea, a cup of Fendiman ginger beer. , salty pork and ham parfait, mini Basil round bread, rhubarb yoghurt dessert, English egg tart and almond crumble, taste good, better than exquisite and atmosphere.

A Roman Masterpiece in Britain
Of all the Roman sites in Britain none can be more impressive or insightful as the Roman Baths in Bath. Wandering around this museum gives you a true insight into what life was like in the city almost 2000 years ago.
#Toptips Grab yourself a glass of champagne by the main bath
Take time to look over the exhibit of how curses were sent into the baths, it’s truly fascinating how neighbours would try to curse each other to eternity over a stolen sock.
Make sure you take the audio tour, especially try the channel with commentary provided by the brilliant Bill Bryson

Immerse Yourself in Ancient Elegance at The Roman Baths!
#uktrip
The Roman Baths in the city of Bath are a stunning testament to the engineering prowess and cultural sophistication of the Roman Empire. As one of the best-preserved ancient Roman spas in the world, the Baths offer a unique glimpse into the past, providing visitors with an immersive experience that combines history, archaeology, and architecture. A visit to the Roman Baths is like stepping back in time to the height of the Roman Empire, where you can explore the complex and marvel at its grandeur.
The site comprises four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House, and the museum. The Sacred Spring is the heart of the complex, where hot mineral-rich water rises from the earth at a constant temperature of 46°C (115°F). This natural phenomenon was considered a gift from the gods by the Romans, who built the magnificent Bath complex around it. The water still flows today, and you can see the steam rising from the Great Bath, creating a mystical and otherworldly atmosphere.
Walking through the Roman Baths, you can explore the ancient ruins and reconstructed areas, including the Great Bath, the smaller circular baths, the changing rooms, and the saunas. The intricate stonework, statues, and mosaics transport you to a bygone era of luxury and relaxation. The Romans believed in the healing powers of the mineral-rich waters, and the baths served as a social hub where citizens could relax, socialize, and conduct business.
The on-site museum is a treasure trove of Roman artifacts, from coins and jewelry to intricately carved statues and inscriptions. One of the most fascinating exhibits is the “curse tablets,” small sheets of lead or pewter inscribed with curses by visitors to the baths. These curses were typically directed at thieves or unfaithful lovers and provide a rare insight into the daily lives and superstitions of Roman Britons.

Bath
jS-
The Roman Baths, the origin of the name Bath
The name of the small town of Bath means bath, which is a trace from ancient Roman times. Next to Bath Abbey is the famous ancient Roman bath, which is now the Roman Baths Museum in Bath and a landmark of Bath.
The biggest attraction of the ancient Roman Baths in Bath is the open-air bath in the center. The bath is sunken, located below ground level, surrounded by Roman-style colonnades and sculptures—though these sculptures were actually built in the 19th century when the ancient Roman baths were discovered. The bath-loving ancient Romans discovered natural hot springs in Bath and built grand baths, but after they withdrew from the British Isles, this place was buried in the dust of history for many centuries until it was unearthed more than 100 years ago.
Today, the hot spring water still flows in the ancient Roman Baths in Bath. After the site was excavated in the 19th century, the hot springs of Bath became famous throughout Britain and were even considered miraculous. In addition to the large bath, the museum's exhibition hall also displays rings, bracelets, vases, coins from the ancient Roman era, and a bronze statue of Sulis Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, war, the moon, and memory.
Like many museums in the UK, the Roman Baths Museum in Bath also provides multilingual handheld audio guides. Listening to the explanations on the audio guide, encountering two locals cosplaying as ancient Romans by the large bath really gives a sense of time travel. By the way, if you're interested, you can also taste a sip of Bath's spring water at the museum exit!
