On my recent trip to Central and Western Europe, I visited Toledo, Spain, for the first time! Located in Central Spain, Toledo is a medieval city built atop a hill. What I found most stunning about this city was the medieval Moorish/Arabic architecture. Fun fact, the majority of Spain, especially the central and southern parts, were once conquered by the Muslim Moors for hundreds of years! Check out the photos to see stunning sceneries of Toledo in the beginning of fall.

💙The Alcazar in Toledo💙
🇪🇸Timeless Toledo🇪🇸
We visit The Alcázar, a symbolic building, and is located in the highest area of the city of Toledo, taking its most remote origins in Roman times. Located in a strategic point of the city, during the Visigothic period, Eurico conquers the city and Leovigildo establishes therein the capital, leaving modifications and adaptations in the building, considered and originally conceived as a large fortress. During the reigns of Alfonso VI and Alfonso X The Wise, it is rebuilt, giving rise to the first alcázar of square floor with towers at the corners, and a main facade in three sections. In the 16th century Carlos V and Felipe II ordered to erect the Alcázar as such.
Fun Fact: The Alcazar is Rumored to be a meeting place for witches and A symbol of the occult in Toledo. This imposing fortress is said to be haunted by the spirits of past kings and warriors, their presence felt in the echoes of the halls.

Enchanting Royal Palace: Explore the Historic Real Alcázar in Seville
Real Alcázar in Seville.
Aside from filming the scenes for Dorne in Game of Thrones, this Royal palace was so beautiful.
Historically known as al-Qasr al-Muriq (The Verdant Palace) and commonly known as the Alcázar of Seville, is a royal palace in Seville, Spain, built for the Christian king Peter of Castile. It was built by Castilian Christians on the site of an Abbadid Muslim alcazar, or residential fortress. The fortress was destroyed after the Christian conquest of Seville in 1248.
The palace is a preeminent example of Mudéjar style in the Iberian Peninsula, combining Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance structural elements. The upper stories of the Alcázar are still occupied by the royal family when they visit Seville and are administered by the Patrimonio Nacional. It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the adjoining Seville Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies.
