[2024 Putrajaya ] Travel Guide for Taman Botani (Updated Nov)

Beautiful Park in Putrajaya

#malaysia This is a very good and well maintained botanical park. It surrounds a man-made lake and covers a very wide area. There are several theme gardens, an exhibition hall and some sponsored pavilions. This is a good place for an early morning or evening jog. Great place for photo sessions. Unfortunately there aren’t enough benches for resting especially for the elderly and young children. Also not enough restrooms around the park. I hope they add these in the near future. I also wish they had better signage for the various theme gardens and photo-spots. Some of the trees, shrubs and plants are not labeled. All areas for improvement. Having said that, this is still a beautiful park and good for family picnics. (Remember to clean up after you’re done and don’t leave any trash behind).

#favouritecafe The Glasshopper in Putrajaya is a charming glasshouse café nestled within the lush greenery of Taman Botani. The café’s modern, minimalist design with clear panels allows for plenty of natural light, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a delightful mix of modern twists on traditional Malaysian dishes and Western favorites. I particularly enjoyed the creamy carbonara, which was rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal or a picturesque location for photos, The Glasshopper is a must-visit in Putrajaya.

Unique theme cafe- Gua Juicery

How cool is that, a cafe with cave like interior, open space and mainly sell fruit juice?! Located at Taman Botani Putrajaya, Gua Juicery offers a unique experience to quench your thirst. Starting as low as RM 5 to about RM 20, not only they sell fruit juice, there is coffee and food served here too! A stroll around the Taman Botani, Putrajaya 🌿

This garden is open to public and the flora is very pleasurable to view. It's a fantastic spot to hang out, particularly for those who enjoy nature. It is best to rent a bicycle because the garden is pretty big. Bicycles can be rented, we rented the fat tire tandem bike that cost us RM20 for only 30 minutes.

Bouganvillea Tunnel

Very good and well maintained botanical park. It surrounds a man-made lake and nearby lake have a seafood restaurant. Can also enjoy with some water bicycle here and are several theme gardens, an exhibition hall and some sponsored pavilions. This is a good place for an early morning or evening jog. Great place for photo sessions. Have some drink vending machine around with reasonable price and cafe, Unfortunately there aren’t enough benches for resting especially for the elderly and young children. Also not enough restrooms around the park. I hope they add these in the near future.
