The exterior of this temple has weathered the test of time, exuding the charm of an ancient temple that has stood for a thousand years. 😍

After arriving at the location, cross the overpass to reach the entrance of the temple. Go up the stairs at the entrance to see more than 500 clay sculptures of Arhats. Each Buddha statue is lifelike, with great attention to detail, making you feel as if you're in a mythical Buddhist sanctuary! 👏

A day trip to Mianyang, a city near Chengdu, feeding seagulls and visiting temples
Recently, I visited a beautiful city near Chengdu - Mianyang, which is only a short 30-minute high-speed train ride from Chengdu, which is very convenient. In the morning, I took a high-speed train from Chengdu, and the scenery outside the window quickly passed by, as if telling me the story of Mianyang. 30 minutes later, I set foot on the land of Mianyang and started my day trip. First, I went to Kangfuyuan Old Kaiyuan Rice Noodle Shop. The rice noodles here are really delicious, with a rich soup base, rich side dishes, and very affordable prices. The service attitude of the waiters in the shop is very good, which makes me feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the people of Mianyang. Then, I went to Shenshui Temple and Luohan Temple. These two temples are ancient temples with a long history and deep cultural heritage, which made me feel a strong Buddhist cultural atmosphere. Especially in Luohan Temple, I saw many different forms of Luohan statues, which were really shocking. After lunch, I went to Majia Lane Snack Street. The snacks here are really rich, with all kinds of flavors. I tried the local cold dip and oil tea, which were really delicious. And the prices of the snacks here are very affordable, which makes me eat happily and satisfied. In the evening, I came to Sanjiang Peninsula Square. This is a good place to enjoy the beautiful night view of Mianyang and get close to seagulls. I bought some bread to feed them, watching them soar in the sky and compete for food, which was really interesting. The whole day trip in Mianyang made me feel the beauty and unique charm of this city. Whether it's food, culture or scenery, it has left a deep impression on me. If you also want to experience the beauty of this city, why not take a trip to Mianyang! Imagine that you are in a bustling square, surrounded by various stalls and shops. Suddenly, you notice a small stall with a simple sign hanging on it, which reads: 'Hot Sale in the Square: 5 yuan each'. You come closer and find that they are various small ornaments and souvenirs. This price is simply a bargain, so you buy one without hesitation. Then, your eyes are attracted by an ancient temple, which is Shenshui Temple. This temple is adjacent to Luohan Temple, and the distance between them is very close, as if they are brothers. It is recommended that you go to Shenshui Temple first, and then you can directly go to Luohan Temple, they are connected. Walking into Shenshui Temple, you will see many exquisitely carved Buddha statues. These Buddha statues are lifelike, as if they want to tell you some profound stories about Buddhism. Continue to move forward, you will come to the entrance of Luohan Temple. There is a long and steep ladder here. If you feel too tired, you can choose to go directly from Shenshui Temple. The atmosphere of Luohan Temple makes you feel as if you have gone to Thailand. There are white pagoda groups there, which are very suitable for taking pictures. Every corner is full of exoticism, as if telling different stories. Here, you can explore and take pictures to your heart's content, recording your travel experience. The whole process of visiting the square, Shenshui Temple and Luohan Temple is full of exploration and surprises. Every discovery makes you have a deeper understanding of this city. And the souvenirs and photos you bought will become precious memories of your travel.

Mianyang Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple Tour Guide
Here is a detailed guide to Mianyang Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple:
1. Shengshui Temple:
• Historical Background: Shengshui Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty (AD 880–881) and has a history of over 1,300 years. It was originally called Ganquan Temple, and later renamed Shengshui Temple because of the mountain spring water that never dries up and is clear and sweet. It was officially renamed Shengshui Temple in the first year of the Ming Dynasty (AD 1436).
• Main Buildings: The temple is built along the central axis with the Hall of Heavenly Kings, Guanyin Hall, Great Compassion Hall, Weituo Hall, and Mahavira Hall. The Mahavira Hall is the central building, 16 meters high, with a building area of 1,500 square meters. Inside the hall, there are three 10-meter-high statues of Sakyamuni Buddha.
• Featured Attractions: Shengshui Temple is mainly dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, showing the hundred aspects of Guanyin. In addition, there is a clay sculpture corridor in the temple, carved with many Buddhist figures, with solemn features.
2. Luohan Temple:
• Adjacent to Shengshui Temple: Luohan Temple is adjacent to Shengshui Temple and is famous for its reclining Buddha. The reclining Buddha is beautiful and serene, and is one of the iconic attractions of Luohan Temple.
• Main Buildings: Luohan Temple has Weituo Hall, Hall of Heavenly Kings, Seven Buddhas Hall, Three Saints Hall, Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall, and Mahavira Hall. On both sides are the Holy City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, Thousand Buddhas Hall, and Luohan Hall. The 1,250 Luohan statues in Luohan Hall are particularly lifelike.
• Travel Experience: Visitors can visit the temple, experience Buddhist culture, and enjoy the surrounding natural scenery, hiking, photography, and other outdoor activities.

Mianyang - Notes on visiting Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple.
Just follow the trend. Most of the guides here are about beautiful photos and are especially suitable for friends who like taking photos. Many practical questions are not answered. Let me try to summarize:
1. Can babies go?
Yes! You can use a baby carrier or waist stool, and pay attention to the following points to avoid getting too tired.
2. Transportation recommendations
I sincerely recommend taking a taxi. It's not about whether it's convenient to drive, but about having to go back the way you came. Use a ride-hailing app to locate the southwest gate of Luohan Temple, and tell the taxi driver "the gate of Luohan Temple without stairs", and the driver will know.
3. Parking
If you have to drive, it is recommended to park at the temporary parking lot of Luohan Temple. There are basically no steps on the way back, and it is mainly uphill, which is relatively easy.
4. Tour route
Enter from the southwest gate of Luohan Temple, pass by the Abbot's Building, Wanfo Hall, and Reclining Buddha (all the way downhill). After taking photos of the Reclining Buddha, go uphill and return (the fork in the road is marked on p13), then go to Shengshui Temple Vegetarian Restaurant, Buddha Statue Group, and Jixiang Gate, and finally go down the stairs from the east gate.
5. Tour duration
At least half a day should be reserved. The intensity of the tour here is not small, and it is not recommended to arrange other itineraries on the same day.
6. Tour time
If it's hot, you can go at around 4 pm, as there is no closing time here. It seems that after 6 pm, the main gate from Shengshui Temple to Luohan Temple is closed, but you can pass through the Shuiyue Zhai Vegetarian Restaurant. There are fewer people at this time, and the photos taken in the evening are very beautiful.
7. Photo spots
Wanfo Hall, Reclining Buddha (take a portrait telephoto on the left side of the Reclining Buddha, see p1), Abbot's Building, people standing on the eaves next to the long stairs and taking photos with the city view (I saw a boy band shooting at this spot), take photos of the high-speed train passing by, the entrance of the southwest gate of Luohan Temple or just inside the gate.
8. Clothing recommendations
Wearing dark clothes or clothes with high saturation is very photogenic. Clothes should not have complex patterns, and it is best if the colors of the upper and lower body are the same.
9. Vegetarian meal options
There is more than one place to eat vegetarian meals, but Shengshui Temple Shuiyue Zhai is the best. Price information is on p18.

👍️Must-Visit Attraction: According to the Republic of China edition of the 'Mianyang County Annals': 'Shengshui Temple: Fifteen li west of the county seat. Built during the former Ming Dynasty, renovated during the Yongzheng period.' The temple is located on a flat area in front of the mountain and was converted into a primary school after liberation.
Shengshui Temple in Mianyang is located on the southern slope of Tazi Mountain on the right bank of the Fujiang River in the western part of the city. It has been famous for its Longquan Holy Water since ancient times. According to the 'Mianyang County Annals,' the temple once had a cliff inscription titled 'Record of the Longqiu Holy Water,' which stated: 'On the western cliff of the famous mountain, there is a dragon spring under the cliff, and prayers for rain are always answered. During the Yonghui period of the Tang Dynasty, it was called 'Ganquan,' in the Yuan Dynasty it was called 'Fumin Spring,' and in the Ming Dynasty it was called 'Holy Water.' This is recorded in the county annals.
The temple was built during the Guangming period of the Tang Dynasty (880 AD). Shengshui Temple dates back to the Yonghui period of the Tang Dynasty (650-655 AD), spanning over 1,300 years. In the first year of the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty (1436 AD), it was named 'Holy Water.' The old site of the ancient Shengshui Temple, under the cliff behind the current Guanyin Hall, still has the 'Longqiu,' with clear spring water always present.
In 1991, Shengshui Temple was listed as a key temple in Sichuan Province.

A fantastic journey to ancient temples around Chengdu, stunning through time
💥 Shocked countless times!!! A thousand-year-old temple just 2 hours from Chengdu 🙏
This temple is simply dreamy, as if it transcends reality!
It's like a magical scene in a game world, making people feel so small in it.
If you are in Chengdu, I sincerely and strongly recommend visiting this place.
The two temples here are closely connected, such a rare conjoined temple is truly hard to come by.
The temple has endured the vicissitudes of time, and now the reclining Buddha inside is being renovated. Just looking at its outline already makes one deeply feel its grandeur and shock.
The white pagoda is even more unique and photogenic.
It is very convenient to travel from Chengdu.
You can easily arrange this unique trip in just one day on the weekend.
🙏: Mianyang Shengshui Temple (or Luohan Temple, the two temples are interconnected)

Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple
The summer in Jiangnan is daunting, either oppressively humid or unbearably hot. However, Jiangnan in spring and autumn is like a fairytale, always enchanting and captivating. Jiangnan is a place that people both love and hate.
As soon as summer arrives, one wants to escape. By chance, I passed through Mianyang. As soon as I stepped out of the station, I was drenched by the rain, which was no less than that in Jiangnan. Sitting in the car and looking out, the rain was pouring, the grass was lush, and the streets were lined with sycamore trees, creating an illusion of spring in Jiangnan. My fondness for Mianyang comes from its greenery. Whether in the old city or the new city, there are lush trees everywhere, which look even more crystal clear after being washed by the rain.
How can one visit Mianyang without admiring the magnificent Fujiang River, a tributary of the Yangtze River? The river flows majestically, winding through the mountains and valleys, and traversing the city of Mianzhou.
On the other side of the Fujiang River is the Buddhist holy site, Shengshui Temple. It was originally built during the Guangming period of the Tang Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1985, covering a total area of 14,745 square meters. Inside, there are preserved cliff carvings and the earliest Shuiyue Guanyin statue with a clear date found in Sichuan, holding a prestigious position in the region.
Interestingly, there is another temple on the same side of the Fujiang River—Luohan Temple. At the foot of Luohan Temple, there is not only the Fu River but also the Baocheng Railway and the Mianjiang Expressway. Standing on the top of the mountain, looking down at the surging river and the speeding vehicles, the scene is orderly and bustling, symbolizing the progress of the times. The development of Luohan Temple is not as prominent as Shengshui Temple. It was built from scratch by Master Guoqing, who raised funds on his own and spent more than twenty years of relentless effort to complete it. The statues of Arhats are radiant and lifelike, stretching from halfway up the mountain to the top, with a main road leading to Shengshui Temple. The entire visit feels like a crab walk, with the two temples having completely different styles. Shengshui Temple features vivid wood carvings, while Luohan Temple is brightly colored, giving an exotic impression. Walking and taking photos along the way, both sides offer excellent photo opportunities.
Today happens to be a rainy day, making travel somewhat inconvenient, but the temples in the rain have a mysterious and ancient feel. The steep steps become even more slippery, and although I wanted to experience it, I was somewhat hesitant. Walking under the eaves, the sound of the rain resembles the low chanting of the Buddha, soothing the souls of the mundane world.
The security guard at the parking lot entrance was particularly enthusiastic, patiently explaining the tour route, saving time and effort. On one side, there is the bustling traffic, and on the other, the solemn and sacred atmosphere. Such a casual and free-spirited layout is indeed worthy of being the hometown of Li Bai.

My Life FIRST | The Exquisite Shengshui Temple (Free Attraction in Mianyang)
📍Attraction Address: No. 357, North Section of Changhong Avenue, Fucheng District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province
🚗Transportation to Attraction: Take bus No. 8 or 33 and get off at Shengshui Temple
👍️Must-Visit Attraction: Shengshui Temple is located next to Luohan Temple in the north section of Changhong Avenue, Fucheng District. It covers an area of 0.0866 square kilometers and is a Buddhist holy land on the opposite side of the Fujiang River, providing a place for tourists to admire, offer incense, and rest.
Shengshui Temple, with its temples and Buddha statues as the main features, is situated in the Tazishan Scenic Area on the right bank of the Fujiang River to the west of Mianyang City.
The mountain has a spring that has been famous since ancient times as the 'Dragon Spring Holy Water.' Originally named 'Ganquan Temple,' its history can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty's Yonghui period (650–655 AD), spanning over 1,300 years, making it one of the oldest temples in northwestern Sichuan.
Ancient texts record that 'the holy water falls a thousand times' and 'drinking it can cure diseases and prevent disasters,' hence the name holy water. In the first year of the Ming Dynasty's Zhengtong era (1436), Shengshui Temple was built but later fell into ruin.
In 1989, the Mianyang City Government approved the reconstruction of Shengshui Temple, led by the monk Shi Guoren. Following the overall planning of combining temple, garden, and tourism, a series of magnificent halls and various supporting facilities were built, including an antique mountain gate, the Mahavira Hall, the Ksitigarbha Hall, the Jade Buddha Hall, the Three Saints Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, the Guanyin Hall, and the bell and drum towers, restoring the ancient temple's grandeur.
The many Buddha statues enshrined in the halls are exquisitely crafted, with varied expressions, showcasing exceptional skills; the three large jade Buddhas in the Jade Buddha Hall were gifts from Burmese Buddhist disciples and are extremely precious. In 1991, Shengshui Temple was listed as a provincial key temple. After further construction, pavilions, towers, and corridors were continuously improved, and the greening and beautification were upgraded. It has now become a large temple garden where Chinese and foreign tourists come to worship, admire the scenery, and relax.
🎟️Ticket Information: No reservation required, no admission fee.
💗Other tips: The carvings here are exquisitely beautiful and very photogenic, definitely an internet celebrity spot.

Luohan Temple
Mianyang Luohan Temple|||Mianyang Luohan Temple is located in Shengshui Village, western suburbs of Mianyang, on the southern peak of Tazi Mountain on the right bank of the Fu River. It was founded by the abbot, Master Guoqing, who started from scratch, raised funds on his own, endured hardships, and after more than twenty years of unremitting efforts, the temple was built.
Luohan Temple is grand in scale, with an open terrain and a coordinated layout, showing a majestic atmosphere. The central axis of the temple consists of the Weituo Hall, Heavenly Kings Hall, Seven Buddhas Hall, Three Saints Hall, Guanyin Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, and the Mahavira Hall. On both sides, there are the Ten Thousand Buddhas Holy City, Thousand Buddhas Hall, Luohan Hall, a huge reclining Buddha, Bell and Drum Towers, and the newly completed Lingjiu Mountain, forming a spectacular panorama.
The entrance of the temple has a 260-step stone staircase (also known as: Stairway to Heaven), with lifelike Luohan statues and dragon figures in the middle of the 260 steps; the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Luohan statues in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Holy City within the temple are extremely solemn and exquisite, exuding a sense of benevolence and ease that commands respect; the 1250 Luohan statues in the Luohan Hall have diverse expressions and gestures, vividly portraying the demeanor of compassion and wisdom; the Mahavira Hall, built in the style of the Qing Dynasty and located at the center of the temple, with red eaves and golden tiles, carved beams and painted rafters, is solemn and magnificent, giving an overall sense of a rich and solid historical atmosphere; the 500 nuns inside Lingjiu Mountain have smooth handwork and a serene and wise demeanor; the huge reclining Buddha is peaceful and tranquil, lying there as serene as the moon and as calm as the sea, blessing the passing vehicles with safety; all the Buddha statues here are exquisitely carved and gorgeous, with high ornamental value.
There are also many Buddhist stupas commonly seen in temples in Tibet and Western Sichuan, making it a great place for taking photos and checking in.
The scenic area currently does not charge an entrance fee.
For transportation, there are several bus lines within Mianyang City that reach Shengshui Temple Station, and a 5-minute walk from the station will take you to Luohan Temple.

Mianyang's Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple
The densely arranged Buddha statues, the wildly unassuming shapes, the unconventional designs, and the shocking sight make Shengshui Temple a place that became famous for its five hundred lifelike and distinctively expressive Luohan statues. Shengshui Temple is located right next to Luohan Temple, both on the same mountain. You can visit both temples together, each with its own style, and the sightseeing takes about two hours
Admission: Free (When I visited, some of the temple doors at Shengshui Temple even offered free eco-friendly incense).
Transportation: Take bus routes 27/38/7/8/23/33/8 night shift, etc., there is a parking lot, self-driving, and taxis are available.
Start by going up the mountain from the main gate of Shengshui Temple, visit Shengshui Temple, then take the mid-mountain passage to Luohan Temple, and continue your visit, finally exiting through the main gate of Luohan Temple.
The important scenic spot at Shengshui Temple's main gate is the 'Auspicious Gate', featuring various lifelike sculptures of deities (which might feel a bit oppressive
This is the proper main gate at the foot of Shengshui Temple's mountain (also adorned with banners and with a high volume of visitors)
There are three or four wishing spots at Shengshui Temple, where you can buy wishing charms.
Part of the 'Auspicious Gate' scenic spot's sculptures after visiting the main hall at the top of Shengshui Temple, prepare to go down the mountain.
There is a vegetarian meal provided at the mid-mountain area, available until 12 noon
This is the path from Shengshui Temple at mid-mountain to Luohan Temple, where you can see the small white pagoda and the painted sculptures.
The road to Luohan Temple has this characteristic of going straight up and down, and the view of the stairs from the foot of the mountain is still very impressive

Taking a photo here easily gets a hundred thousand likes, and my friends all think I went to Thailand
This temple is so stunning, are you sure you don't want to visit it? 🚗 On my way back to Chengdu, I made a brief stop in Mianyang for a day, just to check out this mysterious and lesser-known temple. You'll really regret it if you don't see it in person after seeing the photos!!!
⛰️ Shengshui Temple & Luohan Temple
I originally only wanted to visit the Shengshui Temple, but after arriving, I found that the two temples were right next to each other, and you can enter from Shengshui Temple and visit both without having to backtrack. Moreover, both temples are built next to the railway, where technology and mysticism collide right before your eyes, truly giving a surreal feeling.
⛰️ Shengshui Temple
It has an incredibly impressive corridor with 500 Buddha statues, each one lifelike. If you observe carefully, you'll find many unique statues, like I noticed one making a 'scissor hand' gesture, and I immediately pointed it out to my mom.
⛰️ Luohan Temple
It is said that the Wanfo Shengcheng is the first in China and second in the world, and it has the largest Luohan Hall in China, as well as a 46m giant reclining Buddha. The reclining Buddha is currently under maintenance, so there are many steel frames and such around it.

Shengshui Temple Travelogue: A Journey of the Soul or a Photo Check-in Spot?
Hey, friends! Last weekend, on a whim, I visited the legendary Shengshui Temple. ✨ This place, how should I put it, is both a baptism for the soul and a popular spot for social media check-ins.
📸 As soon as I stepped into the temple, I was captivated by the ancient architectural beauty. Every casual snapshot felt like a masterpiece, no wonder so many people come here to take photos. 🍁 Leaves falling with the autumn breeze, landing on the ancient stone-paved paths, every step felt like walking on the traces of history.
🧘♂️ Then there's the sense of tranquility that really calms the mind. Sitting under an ancient tree, closing your eyes to listen to the chanting, it's as if all worries are carried away by the wind. 🌾 The surrounding greenery is also super healing, a fresh stream in the midst of the city.
🤔 However, I couldn't help but notice that some areas were a bit too commercialized. Stalls selling souvenirs were everywhere, sometimes making it feel a bit out of place. 🛍️ But on second thought, this is also a way for them to maintain the temple, right?
In conclusion, I want to say that Shengshui Temple is truly a place worth visiting. Whether you're looking for inner peace or want to take beautiful photos, this place can satisfy you. Don't you think? For those who have been, what was your experience like? See you in the comments~ 🌈

D1: Shengshui Temple—Luohan Temple
Arrive in Mianyang in the morning, it's very convenient to take a taxi from the airport to the city center for just over ten yuan,
Since we're taking the high-speed train to leave later, we chose to stay near the high-speed train station.
After dropping off our luggage, a Didi taxi ride to Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple costs just over nine yuan,
The two temples are right next to each other, almost sharing a gate!
Shengshui Temple is mainly about the exquisite statues, perfect for photo check-ins! In addition, the Buddha statues in the main hall are also stunning.
Then, you can visit Luohan Temple, which is mainly known for the thousands of Luohan statues and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin statue inside the hall, which are amazing! There's also an outdoor white pagoda and Luohan statues on the walls, known as 'Little Southeast Asia'.
D2:
In the morning, I wanted to go to the museum, but unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance,
So I walked to Yuewang Tower, which takes about twenty minutes to reach.
The ticket for Yuewang Tower is 50 yuan, and you can also buy it online,
The main floors to visit are 9-14, out of a total of 14 floors!
Each open floor has its own theme. Take the elevator to the 14th floor,
Then visit down to the 9th floor, floors 9 and 10 are a bit like a museum and worth a visit!
Additionally, Yuewang Tower can be visited at night, I heard there's a light show or something.
In the afternoon, you can go to Fule Mountain, which is said to be a famous mountain in Mianyang.
All these are conveniently located in the city area.
⚠️ For travel, you can take a bus or Didi, which is very convenient.

The sense of destiny under the Buddha statue!!!
Shengshui Temple, nestled among the mountains, is majestic and eye-catching. The temple is built on the mountain, with layers upon layers, flying eaves and rising corners, resembling the winding of dragons and snakes. Ancient trees reach for the sky, full of lush greenery, complementing the solemnity of the temple.
Inside the temple, the Buddha statues are dignified, shining with golden light, each seeming to possess endless wisdom, overlooking all beings. The sound of the bell is melodious, echoing through the valley, as if telling ancient legends. Devotees kneel devoutly, praying for their wishes.
Standing in front of the temple, looking out, the mountains rise and fall continuously, and the sea of clouds churns, as if one is in a fairyland. Shengshui Temple is not only a holy land of faith but also a haven for the soul, offering a place of tranquility and peace amidst the hustle and bustle of life.

A 40-minute high-speed train takes you directly to the Sacred Water Sanctuary, an utterly awe-inspiring place
The Sacred Water Sanctuary is utterly awe-inspiring. The statues in this temple are so lifelike, they seem to come alive right before your eyes!
As soon as you enter the Auspicious Gate, it's as if you're transported to a mysterious and enchanting world.
In the morning rain, we arrived here, and the whole Buddhist realm was filled only with the sound of rain and footsteps, exceptionally tranquil. Every statue is meticulously crafted, vivid and lifelike, as if frozen in time here, waiting for the next cycle of reincarnation to arrive.
Standing here, it feels as if you can sense a tranquility and mystery that transcends time and space, purifying the soul deeply.

▫️
Both temples are right next to each other, ✅and are must-visit spots in Mianyang! There are many snack vendors at the entrance of the temples. There are also some selling incense🔥, but don't buy it outside! Because most places inside the temples do not allow burning incense brought from outside🔥~
▫️
There are hundreds of Buddha statues with different postures inside Shengshui Temple~😱It's amazing to admire the superb craftsmanship of these artisans. 📸The famous Luohan Wall is a must-visit spot in Shengshui Temple!
▫️
Luohan Temple has a completely different style from Shengshui Temple, 🤍with white pagodas standing along the cliff, 🌈and a group of colorful Luohans in the middle of the 260 stone steps~ Truly truly stunning‼️
▫️
At the end, 🍜don't forget to try a bowl of Mianyang Kaiyuan rice noodles! One serving is 7 yuan, and two servings are only 8 yuan!

Mianyang Shengshui Temple | The treasure ancient temple that has been asked about in the circle of friends
✨Shengshui Temple is famous for its agricultural spring holy water, originally named "Ganquan Temple", its history can be traced back to the Tang Yonghui period, it has a history of more than 1300 years, with a long history and profound cultural heritage. Over the centuries, Shengshui Temple has been revived and declined several times, and finally, under the maintenance of the masters and many disciples, after many years of hard work, this thousand-year-old ancient temple has been renewed.
-
✨These statues are newly made in recent years, made of cement into hundreds of statues of various shapes and forms, breaking the traditional rules of creation, introducing many new modeling techniques, modern, exaggerated, not stereotyped. From a distance, it is very eye-catching, giving a particularly shocking visual feeling.

💡Name: Mianyang Shengshui Temple
📍Navigation: No. 357, North Section of Changhong Avenue, Fucheng District, Mianyang City
🚌Transportation: About 2h drive from Chengdu, about 50 minutes by high-speed rail to Mianyang Station
🎫Tickets: Free, free, free!

-
After entering the temple, there are free incense candles🕯️ available, but it is recommended to prepare some cash, which can be put into the merit box when worshiping Buddha🗳️
-
🏯【Shengshui Temple】and【Luohan Temple】are adjacent, together they construct a whole mountain scale, magnificent Buddhist country scenery.
✨The group of Buddha statues on both sides of the auspicious gate steps, in various shapes and forms, are wonderful~
🔸Each Arhat rides a divine dragon, rides a winged tiger, straddles a dragon fish, or stands on a unicorn, wild and unrestrained, with fluttering belts, galloping in the sea of clouds~
🔸Some Arhats have long eyebrows and beards, and the faces of immortals. Some Arhats have a bit of evil, or greedy and cunning faces, or glaring eyes, full of madness~
🔸I thought it was a chaotic scene, but the solemn Manjusri Bodhisattva in the center suppressed the whole scene, which was very amazing.
🔸The flying fairies on both sides, thin and charming, with fluttering clothes, form a sharp contrast with several female Bodhisattvas, with strange beasts in the sky and colorful phoenixes coming.
🔸The whole group of statues is extremely shocking, and the details are extremely delicate when viewed separately. When the sun sets, it's incredibly beautiful.
.
✨It's not good to take pictures in the main hall, the solemn and exquisite Avalokitesvara in the Guanyin Hall, the colorful Thousand Eyes and Thousand Hands Avalokitesvara in the Great Compassion Hall, the historical sense of the group of vermilion along the golden tiles in each hall and the mystery and solemnity of the temple itself are all coming to the face, very suitable for sightseeing and worshiping Buddha~
PS: The temple does not charge admission, it's up to you to make a merit donation, do as you can~

I made a special trip to Mianyang for these two temples
I made a special trip to Mianyang to see these two temples, Shenshui Temple and Luohan Temple in Mianyang. These two temples are connected together. After entering, I felt very shocked. Although these two temples are next to each other, their architectural styles are completely different.
I wish all the best for the photo shoot.
Friends who come to Mianyang for a tour, must check in these two temples, you will fall in love with them.
Shenshui Temple
Coming here gives me a feeling of a small Leiyin Temple. Through the auspicious gate, you can see nearly a hundred statues of different shapes, almost all of which are newly built in recent years. Seeing it already feels solemn and shocking!! It's a shock that can't be captured by a mobile phone! The air and scenery along the mountain are very good for climbing, hiking, burning incense, and eating vegetarian meals... By the way, the incense here is also prosperous.
The road down from Shenshui Temple leads to Luohan Temple. After climbing 260 steps, you can see a completely different scenery from Shenshui Temple~ The tall white stupa, the photo is super out of the picture. There are 800 golden-bodied arhats in the indoor Arhat Hall, and as you walk, you will be surprised to find a golden Buddha statue! It's too shocking! You can overlook the panoramic view of Mianyang from the top, and the view is super good.
