The Yellow Steps you can’t miss

Located on Gouqi Island, Zhoushan Address: 嵊山枸杞景区 (Shengshan Wolfberry scenic area) You can either drive there or use a taxi. Depending on which side of the island you have staying at, you might have to drive through the main bridge on the Island. There’s a small cafe behind the stairs with a great sea view. At first, I thought you had to buy something from the café to take pictures on the stairs but there’s absolutely no need. You could literally just get there, take pictures and leave. You could also go upstairs to have a scenic view of the island. The beautiful scenery where the sea meets the sky—the dangerous beauty of the easternmost cliff of Zhoushan

🖼 Checking in at the Eastern Cliff, what is the landmark here? The lighthouse of the 'Chinese Fishing Mark' should be it. Whether you are standing on the boardwalk looking from afar, climbing up the slope below it, or being as daring as me, reaching the highest point of the dirt slope, about to reach the signal tower, looking eastward, the blue sky, white clouds, sea, and lighthouse, it is truly breathtaking! 🏯 Who wouldn't want to check in at the easternmost part of the motherland? The Eastern Cliff is the best place to watch the sunrise on Shengshan Gouqi Island. Unfortunately, we thought there would be no sun on the last day, so we went there almost at seven and missed the sunrise. Fortunately, the clear sky allowed us to see the 'seamless blend of sky and water' before we left. The distant ships, the nearby fishing floats, and the beautiful female companions in the camera are all part of the wonderful scenery. 🗻 The wind in the canyon is really strong, it's hard to even stand, but under the sunlight and the temporary reflection, the sea water is really the same color as I saw in Bali! ❤️ If you encounter good weather here, you can take beautiful portrait photos. Having a group of lovely friends can add a lot of color to the whole trip! 🇨🇳 This is also the last check-in place of the Gouqi Island trip! Looking up, the national flag is flying under the blue sky, this is the easternmost part of China! 🎊 In the evening, bring the prepared sparklers and have a fun video session. Of course, don't miss the final seafood feast! Taking the ferry back to Shanghai, it's another night of long talks at the youth hostel!

Tips: Negotiate with cab to get you from one to another point in one day. • Shengshan Bay or Shengshan Scenic Area is the best and my favorite place in the island. If you come early to this place you can watch the sunrise from the East China Sea, exactly like in the movies. You can take a walk in the bay and see the ocean from different sides. Moreover, it’s a best place to recharge yourself and your inner mental health after urban life. I strongly suggest you to visit this place and just sit and watch the ocean.
