Singapore | Stay in the world's first Shangri-La Hotel
What is it like to stay in the world's first Shangri-La Hotel? So happy and so in love! 🥳🥳🥳
🏨Hotel
We stayed in the Luxury Tower Suite, attracted by its fragrance as soon as we entered the lobby, elegant and warm, just like the feeling the hotel gave me in the following days.
The entire Valley Wing is elegant and high-end, whether it's the decoration style or the service attitude, it's all addictive, I really love it!
And you can enjoy a series of Luxury Tower privileges when you stay: you can have breakfast in the Luxury Tower Lounge, all-day snacks, evening cocktails...
🥩Food
The hotel has many restaurants, we tried different restaurants for every meal, the experience is full score💯!
Waterfall Italian restaurant, the atmosphere is very good, the dishes are not bad, especially recommend a Tiramisu🍰, not exaggerating, it is the best Tiramisu I have ever eaten!
The lobby lounge can taste authentic food: Bak Kut Teh, Nyonya cake, Hainan chicken rice, Laksa...
The environment of Origin Grill on the 3rd floor is too good, recommend the beef inside, paired with red wine is simply perfect~
You can have a drink at Origin Bar in the evening🥃, it is also the '2022 Asia TOP100 Bar', we had a great chat with the bartender🥳
🧩Entertainment
There is a children's playground and outdoor swimming pool on the 1st floor, it is very comfortable to swim or lie on the poolside lounge chair in your spare time~
The garden of Garden Wing is too surprising, arch bridge, flowing water, waterfall, Koi, and tall green plants🌳, wandering in it, full of green.
The outdoor lawn is full of birds and flowers, among which THE ORCHID looks like a bird's nest, and there are all kinds of orchids inside, 📷taking pictures is also very out of the picture!
You can experience the SPA of Chi Hydrotherapy, 60 minutes massage💆♀️ makes people relax from body to soul🧡

Revisit to The Line, Shangri-La Hotel 🇸🇬
#singapore
When staying at The Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore, breakfast at The Line is well worth a visit as the restaurant is amazing. Even though we have been to The Line restaurant a few times, it still doesn’t fail to impress.
The Line restaurant offers a huge variety of food choices from Japanese cuisine, Indian cuisine and International cuisine to a generous array of beautifully crafted delicious desserts.
Do give it a try, it is truly one of the top buffets in Singapore!

If you are looking for an excellent and comfortable stay at the orchard road, you can consider the five stars luxurious Shangri la hotel. If you want to enjoy it more, you can consider the valley wing club rooms that come with lounge access and meals provided to you. You can enjoy their afternoon tea sets as well as the evening cocktail buffet. The room is great too. It is very spacious and even comes with a huge bathtub which is ideal for those who like to enjoy showering in the deep soaking tub. I will strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Horizon club lounge breakfast
#wheretogo
Follow me and I will bring you to Horizon Club Lounge for a special access breakfast. This place is only for suite and club guests, so it is elusive and more private. The breakfast spread here is lesser, but more quality and you can get your special order faster. The lounge is never crowded and there are more staff here working. You can get freshly prepared eggs of your choice and hot waffles and pancakes upon request. Then you can help yourself to the rest of the buffet, fresh fruits and nuts, various choices of yogurts. They also have a nice selection of cheeseboards, and you can choose your preferred type of bread too.

Beautiful tower wing room in Shangri-la SG
#wheretogo
The Shangri-La Singapore is a luxurious hotel nestled in the Orange Grove area, a stone’s throw from the famous shopping belt also known as Orchard Road.
We had a staycation at their newly updated Tower Wing room and it was wonderful!
The room was modern with a touch of luxury, and it was very comfortable and clean. We loved the little touches on arrival too - like a box of chocolates, mineral water, and even kids amenities. Service was excellent.
It was a great stay, we will be back!

Mid Autumn Mooncake
#singapore
I love the mooncake baked by the Shangri la restaurant team. The double yolk reduced sugar white lotus paste traditional mooncake is what we loved the most. We also loved the black sesame muang beans mooncake selection. This is my second year buying mooncakes from the Shangri la Singapore hotel. Their mooncake packaging is very nice. Is it ready to be gifted to your friends and colleagues. The mooncake can last for at least a month, if you collect it earlier. Though I still prefer their packaging for last year where it looks like a tower. Kids can also use the tower to put in their toys to keep. Do try out their mooncake this year.

Shangri La Lobby
#hotelreview
#tripblazers
The Shangri la Singapore hotel lobby is beautifully decorated aesthetically. I love their interior design especially the high ceiling up towards the top. The lobby is very spacious and full of people. There are many staff there to assist you if you require assistance or direction needs. The hotel has several towers. They have the horizon tower and the garden wings. I love the extremely huge and glamorous lobby dining area with a huge sofa where you can meet up with your colleague and client to have a high tea with them. I also love the round plant placed at the drop off point of the entrance.

Shangri-La Singapore Jr Suite
#mysgmemories
Late 2022, Trip had an amazing deal on the Junior Suites of Shangri-La Singapore. It was only SGD212 a night! It even included breakfast and executive lounge access! My friends and I jumped on the deal and booked all our stays on the same weekend in 2023.
The room was SPACIOUS! It was 67sqm, more than DOUBLE the average room size of 30sqm in Singapore. There was a sofa bed for the little one, a study desk with sweeping views of the gardens and a nice bedroom with doors that can partition between the living area and the bedroom.
The toilet was also HUGE and spacious, with a big bathtub which is able to fit 2 people! The lounge offered great food, even better with great company.
The lobby was also very grand, marking the end of an amazing stay at Shangri-la.

Horizon club room
#mysgmemories
Address - 28 Orange Grove Rd
Ambiance/Facilities - Huge gym for the gym lovers. Splash for water lovers. Buds for the children to spend time playing in the indoor play space.
Highlights - The horizon club deluxe room located at the tower wing offers an extensive choice of extravagant dishes. The room is spacious but we found the shape of the room looks slightly weird, perhaps it is slanted to one angle. I love the deep soaking bathtub that I can use with my shower powder. The bed is comfortable and the television is huge. We got the room immediately when we checked in to the hotel lobby in the afternoon. They have shuttle bus that brings you to the nearby shopping mall and train station. It has been a wonderful experience staying with the hotel.

I love the club dining experiences with lots of delicacies to choose from. The quiet dining lounge is great for a couple to enjoy their dinner, coupled with a glass of red wine. The experience is perfect for a couple like us.

Tower Wing lounge stay
With two club lounges in Shangri-La Hotel, I would highly recommend the lounge at the Tower Wing as it is on a higher floor and has incredible service from the staff! We stayed here when this lounge finally reopened after the pandemic, so we got to try the free-flow evening cocktails and canapés, as well as breakfast buffet.
Throughout the day, we also enjoyed refreshments and snacks in this beautiful, sunlit environment. It was super relaxing with modern interiors.
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did you know there are many lobbies here?
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go kaikai!
At Shangrila lobby, you can witness different styles at their lobbies and rooms. They have three distinct wings, and all are designed differently. You can spot different designs with their artefacts too. There are also international summits held at this hotel and many head of state also will choose this hotel to stay too. I think it is because of their location so it is easier for security details to protect this area. It is within Orchard Road but not on the main area. So, in a way you get to enjoy the bustling shopping along Orchard Road as well. Try to spot the different designs at their lobbies.

Shangrila Singapore Health Club
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go kaikai!
For hotel guests at Shangrila Singapore, you can access their health club for a holistic experience. You can start off at their well-equipped gym and sweat it out. Then proceed to the indoor sauna and whirlpool experience. It is ok to wear swimming costume/briefs to enter the whirlpool, so you do not need to undress. There is a TV at the soaking area too and you can switch the TV channel with the remote controller. Everything is provided here, and you can take a shower afterwards. If you are not a hotel guests but a health club member, then this is a great place to chill out too.

Shangrila Singapore Splashzone
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go kaikai!
For every stay at Shangrila Singapore, this water theme park is a must go for the children. It is a fun place especially for the younger children. There are no additional fees to enter Splashzone if you are a hotel guests. There is also no longer a need to book time slot. All guests can enter Splashzone with their children and there is no time limit too. You just must take note of their cleaning hours. There are life jackets available, and lifeguards are on duty. It is somewhat safe but still need adult supervision. There are also many sheltered areas for the parents to stay away from the sun. It is also possible to buy annual pass for non-hotel guests too.

Shangrila Singapore Horizon Club Lounge
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go makan!
My first time at Shangrila Singapore and my stay includes the club experience at their Horizon Club Lounge. It is located at Tower Wing, and you can access to the lounge via the lift. There is dress code at the lounge, no slippers, and long pants for the gentlemen. The ladies at the lounge were nice as we came in our slippers because we are heading to the kid’s club after our lounge visit. The lounge is spacious so you will not feel overcrowded. Everything is self-service here and if you wish to order special drinks like iced coffee then you can order from the ladies.

Shangrila Singapore Junior Suite
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go kaikai!
This is Shangrila Singapore Junior Suite at their Tower Wing. It is like a mini apartment which has a small kitchen area for simple cooking. It comes with microwave and induction cooker stove. I like this Junior Suite configuration because it has space, and the sofa can be converted into a bed. The toilet is also spacious, and it comes with a standing shower separated from the bathtub. The large wardrobe located at the entrance can store many luggage and items too. This is a great apartment for a week stay and you get to enjoy the hotel facilities as well. The public transportation nearby the hotel will be bus but you can always get a ride using the riding app. Otherwise, you also can walk to the nearest MRT station about 20 minutes away.

Hidden Garden Discovery
The educational garden is located within the Shangri la Singapore hotel plot of land. It is just beside the splash area where children and adults indulge in the pool splash. There are more than ten kinds of crops that I have seen. Vegetables such as the long beans, brinjal, cucumber, lemon, can be seen there. This is the first time that the children see how the vegetables were formed, as well as the stages. For instance, the cucumber has both male and female flowers. You can see that bees and butterflies help to pollinate the female flower so that the vegetable fruit will develop into a bigger harvest. There are information there that describes the plants too. Is a very good educational garden tour that allows your children to discover where their vegetables and fruits comes from.

Choose a family-friendly hotel/Make sure to watch until the end!
👪Family vacation, the main focus is on companionship, making children more comfortable and parents more at ease~ The hotel we are talking about today has been rated as one of the most luxurious hotels in Asia and the world for many consecutive years, and is the first Shangri-La hotel in the world!
And the luggage check-in in Singapore is super fast, although the hotel is located in the bustling Orchard Road commercial area, it can still enjoy tranquility.
Hotel environment 📷
It seems like the hotel has moved an entire garden into the atrium, with scattered tropical plants and streams gradually converging into a beautiful artificial waterfall, falling into a koi pond. The air is fresh and it brings joy to one's mood.
Parent-child advantages
This hotel is very suitable for families with children. When checking in, the hotel will thoughtfully provide children's slippers, picture books, paintbrushes, toothbrushes and other supplies for families with children. What's more, the hotel staff have hidden little surprises everywhere, and careful children can even find "treasures" that are full of fun and can improve their attention to detail.
Parent-child activity
The hotel has a large parent-child amusement park, which is divided into indoor and outdoor areas, such as the Ocean Ball Park, rock climbing, and children's painting area.
Hotel room
The hotel has a total of 750 rooms, which are located in three wings. The decoration style is mainly European, but there are also minimalist rooms and cozy family rooms.
In the room, there is a tea bar, a snack bar, a coffee machine, a TV port, a sofa, a marble bathtub, and a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas.
Hotel catering
The hotel's dining is really friendly, with a focus on nutritional balance for every meal. There are professional nutritionists preparing meals for children, and after ensuring a balanced diet, the food is delivered to the corresponding guests. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of cuisines, including Japanese cuisine, Cantonese morning tea, Western breakfast, Indian cuisine, and Malay cuisine, with everything you could want.
Finally, let's talk about it.
During this booking, I discovered a key point: the hotel I booked last week has doubled in price if I were to book it today. Also, hotels in Singapore are generally not cheap, so remember to book in advance!

Singapore | Help! Anyone who comes to Singapore and doesn't stay at this hotel will break my heart‼️
🏰Shangri-La Hotel Singapore
As a Singapore 🐼-class hotel, it is the world's first Shangri-La hotel and also a hotel that combines atmosphere and practicality.
🌈Atmosphere:
Although the hotel is located in the bustling Orchard Road commercial district, it can still enjoy peace and tranquility.
As soon as you step into the lobby of the hotel, you will be gently wrapped in warm white 🤍, but if you stop and take a closer look, there are surprises everywhere - green plants, water features, and sculptures add a unique sense of design.〰️
After passing through the corridor, what catches the eye is a circular balcony adorned with blooming bougainvillea 🌸, a product of the combination of modern art and vintage culture. In the distance, towering and scattered green plants 🌴 are dotted with waterfalls, providing a diverse and non-monotonous experience ♥️.
In the environment of nature and sunlight, any filter pales in comparison. Whether outdoors or indoors, a pinch of the rear camera 📸 produces a picture without the need for further editing.
🌈Practicality:
🌟Walking distance to Orchard Road shopping district, satisfying your stay experience without affecting your shopping spree👗
🌟Suitable for bringing children🤱, when checking in, the hotel will thoughtfully give away children's slippers, toothbrushes🪥 and other supplies, as well as various small gifts such as picture books and brushes🖍️. What's even more attentive is that the hotel is full of the staff's ingenuity, and observant children can even find "treasures", making it full of fun.
🌟In addition, the outdoor children's water park and indoor children's playground make kids reluctant to leave!
🌟Afternoon tea in Shangri-La is also famous for its high appearance value, and now there is another relaxing place to take a break and check in.
🌟Tennis courts, fitness center, spa, outdoor pool, and more can bring a richer experience.
💜Small tips:
The hotel provides foreign currency exchange services, so you can head straight to the hotel as soon as you get off the plane 🌝.

Fun time at Buds in Shangri-La Singapore
A great way to have fun in the new year is to visit Buds, an indoor playground at Shangri-La Singapore (Orange Grove). It is a great place for kids and hotel guests are given the choice to book, with a small fee, an hour’s play slot when staying at the hotel.
There are slides, ball pit, art room, music room and obstacle courses at Buds.
Highly recommend to make reservations in advance as it might be crowded.

Arts Hunting at Lobby
Amazing sculpture artworks are everywhere around Shangrila Singapore. In fact these dark grey sculptures are shaped like human in an artist form. For example, this sculpture is depicting Children Dabbling in water and you can see the toes on its feet. It is a series of the same theme but shape differently. They re located at different places within the garden wong lobby.
Hope to be able to travel to more places in 2023 #2023travelwish
