🚗Transportation guide: Exit 1-2 of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Station of Metro Line 2, Exit 2 of Pudian Road Station of Metro Line 4 and 6, the museum parking lot is closed! The nearest parking is the Oriental Art Center, and there are very few parking spaces!
✍🏻About the Currency Museum:
The Digital Museum is located on the 3rd floor of the museum and is a permanent exhibition hall. It displays nearly 6,000 coins collected by the Shanghai Museum. The exhibits are rich in categories and are supplemented by multimedia currency casting technology. It systematically and completely displays the development history of currency itself, presenting A complete history of Chinese currency and financial development!
🌟Exhibition guide:
✅The exhibition can be divided into chronological series according to the period: Late Neolithic, Zhou Dynasty, Spring and Autumn and Warring States, Han Dynasty, Three Kingdoms, Two Jins, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Tang and Five Dynasties, Two Song Dynasties, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, foreign parts, currencies of the Republic of China and currencies of revolutionary base areas.
✅The exhibition shows: coin shapes of various generations, coinage in different periods, coinage systems and naming methods, the impact of social changes on coins and the economy, etc.
🌟🌟🌟The currency of the Republic of China and the currency of the revolutionary base areas are new contents, and more than 200 banknote collections are on display for the first time in the Currency Museum.
📌Tips:
1️⃣Entrance: Go through the security check at the east gate on the B1 floor and enter the museum. The guide book is on the first floor.
2️⃣There is a rental self-guided tour on B1 & 1F. You can basically scan the QR code to listen to the key cultural relics! There are volunteers and guides to explain👍Please pay attention to the explanation time of each venue
3️⃣There are self-service lockers on the B1 floor of the museum, and large luggage is stored in the manual storage area on the first floor! Wheelchairs and strollers are available for free rental
4️⃣B1 Shangbo Restaurant serves Chinese set meals; 1F has pop-up coffee, Western snacks and other catering; 2F has Cai Jia Desserts...purified water is available!
5️⃣There is a cultural and creative store on the 1/2 floor. Popular refrigerator magnets are often out of stock. On the first floor, cultural and creative products related to "Top of the Pyramid - The Development of Ancient Egyptian Civilization" are sold, with not many varieties; jade jewelry is sold next to the Jade Museum.
6️⃣The "Shanghai Museum Themed Post Office" on the second floor can stamp 3 stamps, just next to the Seal and Seal Engraving Museum. Here you can make a statement postcard on-site for 10 yuan and bring your own stamps for free delivery nationwide!
