2024 Hong Kong Exhibition: The T. T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art.
On the second floor of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin, there is a "T. T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art." Although the exhibits are privately (foundation) donated, their exquisite level surpasses that of many provincial museums, covering pottery and porcelain from the pre-Qin, Han, and Ming and Qing dynasties. The variety of shapes and the excellent preservation of the artifacts opened my eyes as a frequent visitor to museums. Many of the shapes were seen for the first time, and it was indeed a worthwhile trip. Recently, there is also an exhibition of Buddhist artifacts, "Treasures of the Sacred and the Secular: The Tibetan Buddhist Art," featuring Tibetan Buddhist artifacts such as thangkas, Buddha statues, and ritual objects from the 17th to 20th centuries.
On the second floor of the museum, there is also a Bruce Lee exhibition, and on the first floor, there are exhibitions on "Hong Kong Pop 60+", Cantonese opera artifacts, intangible cultural heritage, and James Wong, which are very enlightening for understanding the development of Hong Kong culture.
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is very convenient to reach, within a 10-minute walk from Che Kung Temple Station on the Tuen Ma Line or Sha Tin Station on the East Rail Line. Free admission, no reservation required.
The last two pictures are of the "Che Kung Temple" in Sha Tin, which is very popular. The old temple from the Qing Dynasty is behind the main hall (bottom of picture 20).

📍Sha Tin Che Kung Temple
Today, we will come to pray for blessings at Che Kung Temple or the Windmill Temple. It is a temple where many people from Hong Kong and Thai people come to pray. On the day we went, there were quite a few Thai people who came to pray.
✻ When you arrive at the front of the temple, there will be worship sets for sale. The prices vary. There are both small and large sets. It depends on which set you want to pray.
✻ The officer will have us write our name and surname on the paper in the worship set. Then we will walk to the incense burning tent. The officer will light the incense for us. We stand and wait to receive it on the side.
✻ Use 3 large incense sticks to pray to the sky and earth. Face outside the temple and say your name, surname, date/month/year of birth, age, and purpose of visiting the temple this time. Then turn back to the temple and stick the incense sticks in the middle pot.
✻ Then use the small incense sticks. Do the same as the large incense sticks. Then put 3 sticks in each pot. Separate 3 sticks to pray inside. All the rest are planted in outdoor pots.
✻ When you enter, you will see the statue of "Lord Che Kung Miu". Use the 3 separate incense sticks along with the paper with your name written on it at the beginning to worship and pray.
✻ Stick all 3 incense sticks and put the paper in the cart in front.
🚙How to get there: You can take the MRT and get off at Che Kung Temple Station or Tai Wai Station. The temple is located in the middle of these 2 stations. Or you can take a bus and walk there as well.

Enhance Your Fortune at Che Kung Temple
🛕Che Kung Temple, also known as the Temple of the Windmill🛕
Che Kung Temple is a sacred place that has been revered by Hong Kong and Chinese people for a long time. It was built to commemorate General Che Kung, a brave warrior who protected the last emperor of the Song Dynasty.
This temple is also popular among Thai visitors who come to worship and pray for blessings. Whether they join a temple tour or visit on their own, they often come to pray or perform rituals to counteract bad luck. There are specific techniques to ensure the success of these prayers, including spinning the windmill in the correct direction. Spinning it the wrong way could drastically change one's life.
Popular souvenirs include lucky charms such as gold plates and windmills, though other types of charms are also available. Souvenir shops are located in front of the temple gate, offering similar prices. Payments are made at the same place where worship sets are purchased.
