During my trip to Khao Lak, I had the opportunity to experience bamboo rafting, and it was unforgettable. Gliding down the calm waters surrounded by lush greenery provided a serene escape. The gentle sway of the raft and the sound of nature made it a perfect way to unwind.
After the rafting, I visited the nearby Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Learning about their efforts to protect these magnificent creatures was both enlightening and inspiring. The center's commitment to conservation and the chance to see baby turtles up close were highlights of my visit.

A Different Summerbreak With Turtles 🐢
#summerbreak
This Summerbreak my family and I had the chance of having a different kind of summerbreak. It was one that was educational and inspirational. In Phang Nga khao lak, Thailand, the Thai royal navy are putting their best efforts in saving the critcally endangered sea turtles, that are so close to extinction. We know we had to spend a day at this sea turtle conservation centre in khao lak.
Once at the Thai Naval Turtle Conservation centre, we were able to see the Thai naval soldiers caring and giving their utmost best in taking care of these beautiful little sea creatures. We had the chance to see the different life stages of the turtles and how the age groups of the turtles. We saw how these turtles were endangered by fishing nets and plastics in the sea and it taught us how to be more responsible in our actions. Just by throwing something in the sea could bring a huge negative impact to the whole ocean and its marine life. There were banners with information on the different turtle species and how they were being saved. What's most inspiration about the sanctuary is that once the turtles are nursed to a certain age, they are being released back to the sea, where they truly belonged.
We also learnt about the historical background of this turtle sanctuary and how this idea was started by the royal Thai queen. The royal turtle conservation centre in Phang Nga is an amazing place and we had such a great time with the sea turtles there. It's somewhere different to spend your summerbreak at.
