Davao is the safest city in the Philippines!
Davao City, Philippines is located in the southeastern part of Mindanao Island, facing the Celebes Sea to the south and Davao Gulf to the east.
Davao City is the third largest city in the Philippines and the most important city in Mindanao, serving as its economic and administrative center. Davao City is not only the trade center of southern Mindanao and the entire island of Mindanao, but also the trade center of the Eastern Growth Area of ASEAN.
⛅Climate:
Davao City has a tropical rainforest climate, with warm temperatures and abundant rainfall. The average annual rainfall is around 2,000 mm, suitable for agricultural development. This makes Davao City one of the most important agricultural regions in the Philippines, mainly planting bananas, coconuts and other tropical crops.
In addition, Davao City is also the gateway city to southern Philippines, with convenient land, sea and air transportation to major cities in the Philippines.
Davao City is not only the economic and administrative center of Mindanao, but also has a rich cultural and historical heritage.
For example, San Pedro Church is one of the oldest churches in Davao City, built in 1847, and is a heritage building from the Spanish colonial period. These features make Davao City an important city in southern Philippines.
🌟Highlights:
If you want to go island hopping, have a limited budget, and are concerned about safety, you can come to Davao. Because Davao is the safest city in the Philippines.
The cities in the Philippines are ranked by prosperity: Manila > Cebu > Davao,
By safety: Davao > Cebu > Manila.
By travel cost-effectiveness: Davao > Cebu > Manila,
🚉Transportation Guide:
From China, you can fly directly from Jinjiang to Davao Airport without transferring in Manila. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach Davao Airport directly. Depart in the morning and arrive at noon, the time period is also very good. Previously, you needed to fly from China to Manila, then from Manila to Davao. Now it is much more convenient.
From the airport, a taxi ride to the city center costs less than 300P if there is no traffic jam. Davao taxis do not cheat customers, they all use meters. If you encounter a taxi that does not use a meter, you can get off and complain to the taxi driver. However, in Davao for so many years, I have never encountered a taxi that does not use a meter.
✅Must-try:
In Davao, besides the luxury resort Pearl Farm, I recommend this super cost-effective resort - Paradise Island Resort! Accommodation is 3kp in the off-season and around 5kp in the peak season, different room types have different prices, but the difference is not too big.
The water here is very clear, you can see from the pictures that there is no filter, just iPhone direct shot, blue sky, white clouds and sea, easy to take photos. From the city center, a taxi ride to here costs less than 300P, without traffic jams. At the pier, each person needs to pay a boat ticket fee, which is about 35P per person. The last boat from the resort is at 5pm.
The resort also has entertainment facilities, banana boat, banana boat, which is a motorcycle boat with a cylindrical inflatable boat, about 5 or 6 people together, flying on the sea, and also throwing people into the sea, but it is all safe and sound, everyone is wearing a life jacket, fun and exciting, about 300P per person.
You can also book diving, but diving stops around 3pm, worried that it will be too late and unsafe.
There is a live band singing and playing music on site. When there are many people, it feels more like a festival atmosphere.
🍽Dining recommendations:
Food is not expensive, lunch for four adults costs less than 2KP, chicken soup is good, you can try it, the menu has pictures and prices, you can directly point to the picture if you don't speak English.
Paradise Island Resort has day tours and accommodation. Day tour tickets are now 350p per person, free for babies under one year old, all others are the same price as adults, leaving before 5pm because there is no boat later.
Accommodation does not require additional payment for tickets.

A cathedral where I always went to. This is my patron.
For me in many churches in Davao City, I find my peace and solemnity here in San Pedro. My prayers were been heard and have my answers in this Cathedral.
