My autumn Eurotrip itinerary:
Start in Rome, in October and even in November the weather is fine but it’s less tourists so less crowded and prices going slightly lower
3 days in Rome, then short flight to Paris
3 days in Paris
Drink some hot chocolate, enjoy museums and good shopping, sales will start in November
Flight to Nice. Where you could wear short sleeves and enjoy the warm sun shining. My huge recommendation is to do Cot’dazur in November. We stayed in Nice hotel for 100€ per night (and during summertime this hotel costs 600€)

Rome is always a good idea

Rome is a city full of museums, historic squares, rich food culture, Roman landmarks and other highlights. To prepare your visit to this city, our travel guides shows you the top 5 of the most famous sightseeing and most beautiful Rome attractions.
1. Colosseum
The number 1 attraction of Rome is the Colosseum; the large amphitheatre that housed 65,000 spectators in Roman days. Gladiators battled each other as well as wild animals in the Colosseum's arena, which is considered one of the seven modern wonders of the world
2. The most famous fountain in the capital of Italy and perhaps even the world must be the ‘Fontana di Trevi’, or Trevi Fountain. This baroque fountain, located on the Piazza di Trevi, was built in the 18th century and a must see at the list of 'best things to do in Rome'. The landmark and monument displays the god of the sea, Neptune on his chariot.
3. Pantheon
One of the best maintained buildings from Roman times is the Pantheon. What function the building had in those days is still not clear, but the Pantheon was given to the pope by emperor Hadrian
4. The Forum Romanum was the centre of the ancient Roman Empire. During your visit there, you will walk past Roman excavations and the archaeological park full of old temples, arches, market halls and other important buildings built there by different emperors. Next to the forum lies Palatine Hill, where you will find excavations of imperial residences.
5. One of the most remarkable squares and best places to visit in Rome is Piazza Navona. The famous square therefore owes its elongated shape to its original purpose as a Roman athletics stadium. Interesting sights on the square include a number of fountains, such as the ‘La Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi’ by Bernini, an interesting obelisk, and you can visit the excavations of the old stadium of Domitianus.

Sunny Winter @ Piazza Navona 🌞 ❄️

Built in 86BC by Emperor Domitian Piazza Navona@Navona Square is one of the picturesque spot you shouldn’t miss when you’re visiting Rome. You’re free to roam around the square and depending on the season/ holiday, there will be small market and carnival. There is 3 artistic fountains and museum in the square
If you’re thinking to walk directly to the other attraction in Rome by walk:
Pantheon - 5 minutes
Castel Sant’Angelo - 10 minutes
Trevi Fountain - 12 minutes
Vatican City - 17 minutes
The weather is really pleasant and I’ve walked all the way from Roma Termini till Vatican City (I’m not athletic by the way) because I do enjoy the walk and what the city have to offer. Its also safe to walk even as a solo female traveller. Just be aware of your surroundings and not to worry, there is also lot of tourists roaming around.
Tips: Make sure to check ahead if there’s holiday or festive season before going, if you want to visit the museums. But if you prefer less crowd and just want to roam around in the city then its perfect time to visit.

Discovering the Statue Art on Piazza Navona
Piazza Navona is a feast for the senses, and its iconic fountains are no exception. But look closely, and you'll notice something truly unique about the Fontana del Moro and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi: the faces carved into the fountains. Each statue face is a work of art in its own right, with intricate details and expressions that seem to come to life before your eyes. Whether you're admiring the fountains from a nearby cafe or exploring the square on foot, be sure to take a closer look at the statue faces and let them transport you to another time and place.

Piazza Navona is a public open space in Rome, Italy. It is built on the site of the 1st century AD Stadium of Domitian and follows the form of the open space of the stadium in an elongated oval. The ancient Romans went there to watch the agones, and hence it was known as "Circus Agonalis".
The buses in Rome allow you to reach Piazza Navona with the lines 30, 70, 81, 87, 492, 628, which all stop at both Senato and Rinascimento. Both stops are located on Corso del Rinascimento, parallel to Piazza Navona, and a one minute walk from it.

Piazza Navona: a great vibe!
Piazza Navona in Italy is stunning, especially with its beautiful fountains. Piazza Navona has three fountains. The most famous is the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers) in the center, designed by Bernini. The other two are the Fontana del Moro at the southern end and the Fontana del Nettuno at the northern end.
There is a church, called the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. This Baroque church, designed by Francesco Borromini, is located on the western side of the piazza. Its beautiful façade and impressive dome add to the architectural splendor of the square.
Some days, you'll find artists selling their work, adding to the charm. It has a great vibe, a perfect mix of locals and tourists. Definitely a place to visit!

Rome city tour course recommendation
Rome City Tour Course Recommendation - 2🏃🏻♀️
⠀
1️⃣2️⃣Altar of the Fatherland
- I recommend going up the stairs because you can see the whole of Rome at a glance!
⠀
3️⃣4️⃣Trevi Fountain
- There are a lot of people, so watch out for pickpockets!!
📸 Tip
✏️ If you go early in the morning before sunrise (around 7:20 in winter), there will be no people, and you can capture the pink Trevi as if it were a sunset
(We tried to try it too, but we failed because we were very sleepy in the morning..🤦🏻♀️)
✏️ If you take a picture from the right pillar, you can take a picture with as few people as possible! ⠀
5️⃣6️⃣Piazza di Spagna
-Roman Holiday filming location
(Famous for the scene where Audrey Hepburn eats ice cream on the stairs)
⭐️After that, many people imitated it and it became so messy that now you are fined for eating or sitting on these stairs!
(The police are actually guarding it🧑🏻✈️)
⠀
7️⃣Piazza Navona
⠀
8️⃣-🔟St. Peter's Basilica
📸The view from the bridge to the cathedral (📍Ponte Umberto I) is also amazing! I recommend it during sunset or night view~(We also went at sunset, but it was a shame because it was cloudy🥲)

Admire the fountains at Piazza Navona
Piazza Navona was built on the original site of Stadium of Domitian, built by Emperor Titus Flavius Domitianus in 80 AD. However, there are not many remains from the Stadium left anymore. Piazza Navona is a significant example of Baroque Roman architecture and art. Several features are worth mentioning, such as the famous Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers), designed by the famous Gian Lorenzo Bernini for Pope Innocent X. Four Rivers are being represented and it is such a great masterpiece and worth every second of your time taken to admire the individual sculptures. If you are interested, feel free to learn more about its history or simply indulge yourself reading book or watching films as Piazza Navona has been featured so many times in the media.

Piazza Navona and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi

Piazza Navona and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi
Not far from Trevi Fountain is Piazza Navona, a famous baroque square dominated by Bernini’s Fiumi Fountain (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi). There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around this area which are overpriced and basically a tourist trap. We had a dinner with a view here but my pasta was too aldente and we really paid the price for the view, rather than for the food. Might be a better idea to sit down and get a coffee whilst enjoying the view of the piazza.
Make sure to visit this place in the evening as well, the vibes are so nice,a definite must see.

The obelisk standing on Piazza Navona, the top of the monument is a dove, the family symbol of the pope at the time. It was remodeled and moved several times. Today its base is a god-like sculpture masterpiece of the Four Rivers Fountain. However, it was not the original home of this obelisk. From the 1st century to the 4th century, the Obelisk moved twice. Finally fell to the ground in the Mazzosen Square. Innocent Pope commissioned the architect Bernini to design the Four Rivers Fountain as the base of the Obelisk. In the many artistic fountains of the city of Rome, the fountain is always in the first place in my heart. Not to mention that its sculpture of the human body is full of strength and exquisiteness. The light uses four old people to represent the Danube, the Ganges, the Nile, and the Rio de la Prada River, which in turn leads to four continents. This kind of idea is really wonderful.

Piazza Navona is located in the heart of Rome, the most beautiful square in Rome. Piazza Navona is situated on the site of a large 30,000-seat arena built by Emperor Tumitan in AD 86. The square still has an oval outline that matches the shape of the Agonalis Arena. The name of the square originated from the stadium.
Navona Square was built in the fifteenth century AD. In 1644, Pope Innocent X began a radical Baroque reconstruction. The main monuments produced by this program are two striking fountains designed by Bernini: the Moro Fountain at the southern end of the square and the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi at the center.
The Navona Square is adjacent to the Pantheon, and the baroque palace architecture, exquisite fountains and romantic cafes have earned it the reputation of the most beautiful square in Rome.

Oblong Piazza Navona, this is the site of the arena Roman Emperor Domitian in 86 AD, built (aristocratic casino), when the 15th century was re-paving. At present here is based on the Baroque square of beautiful architecture, majestic fountains, laid-back atmosphere and well-known, throughout the year there are various festivals and performances held here, one of Rome's most popular meeting place for people around the open-air cafes and ice cream parlors extremely popular. On the west side of the square church it was designed by Bernini's rivals Bologna Rimini, Bernini middle of the square is the most prestigious one magnificent sculpture Four Rivers Fountain. Four giant like just sitting on the rockery, natural look, the outflow of water from various springs in rockery gap and irregularly, and some sharp, some soothing, in the sunlight, bright colors, the whole look lively and full of fountains fun.
