Philae Temple in Aswan
Philae Temple is definitely one of the must-visit temples in Egypt.
You need to take a boat to reach Philae Temple.
The experience starts with bargaining for a boat ride, which is a unique Egyptian experience.
While on the boat, the boatman whistles to call the seagulls.
With the bright sunshine, the boat gradually approaches Philae Temple.
Apart from the very dry air, everything is wonderful.
This temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis,
known for its stone carvings and mythological stories depicted on the stone walls.
Both the murals and the architecture are very photogenic.

Temple of Philae
Visiting the Temple of Philae was a wonderful experience filled with history 🌟. Located on an island in the Nile River, the temple features unique architectural designs and beautiful decorations 🏛️. I enjoyed wandering among the columns and inscriptions that tell ancient stories of Egyptian civilization 🌿. The temple's views were captivating, offering stunning vistas of the river and surrounding islands 🌊. Overall, the atmosphere was serene and majestic, making the visit a rich and enjoyable experience. The Temple of Philae is an excellent destination for those who love history and cultural heritage.

Aswan Island Restaurant: A Culinary Delight with Rave Reviews!
Highly recommended is the Solaih Nubian Restaurant located on a small island opposite the Philae Temple. It's situated on an island where you can gaze at the Philae Temple from the restaurant. We went there around 4 PM, and there were no other customers yet, so we leisurely enjoyed the view! However, for those planning to visit, I suggest either going at noon or in the evening. After 5 PM, as the sun sets, the sky fills with swarms of little bugs...
The food at the restaurant is delicious and affordable! Starters, drinks, and sides range from 20 to 50 Egyptian pounds, while main courses are between 100 to 200 Egyptian pounds. We had a big lunch and ate dinner too early, plus we underestimated the portions and accidentally ordered too much... We ordered 8 dishes + 4 drinks for less than 800 Egyptian pounds in total. The round-trip boat transfer to the dock for two people was only 150 Egyptian pounds. If we had ordered less, we probably could have been very full for just 500 Egyptian pounds.
What really left an impression on me was the hour spent sitting by the campfire, chatting with Egyptian students. I felt their genuine enthusiasm and heartfelt welcome. Dancing to traditional music, I sensed their desire for the freedom of the soul.
🏰 Historic Feature - Aswan's Cultural Treasure
Aswan is a historically rich city in southern Egypt, home to many impressive sites. The Aswan market reflects the local commercial vitality, while the Felucca sailboats are an ancient mode of transportation on the Nile. The Nubian villages are a treasure trove of ancient traditions, where locals inherit history through their unique way of life.
This day in Aswan has deeply made me feel the unique charm of Egypt. Looking forward to tomorrow's adventure🌈✨

Philae Temple 🛕, Aswan, Egypt 🇪🇬
#wecreate
Aswan offers a wealth of sightseeing opportunities, and the Philae Temple is definitely a must-visit attraction. To explore the Philae Temple, you can take a boat or a felucca ride from Aswan to Agilkia Island, where the temple was relocated. The journey itself provides a scenic experience as you sail through the Nile River.
Once you arrive at the island, you can explore the Philae Temple complex, marveling at its stunning architecture, hieroglyphic inscriptions, and ornate reliefs. The temple's main structures include the Vestibule of Nectanebo, the Temple of Isis, and the Kiosk of Trajan. Be sure to take your time to admire the intricate details and immerse yourself in the ancient Egyptian history and mythology associated with the temple.
If possible, try to visit the Philae Temple during the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more serene atmosphere. The temple is a captivating site that showcases the rich cultural heritage of ancient Egypt and is a highlight of any visit to Aswan.

wow Philae Temple
Philae Temple This temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, which was flooded by the waters of the Nile, was divided and reassembled in a new location on the island of Egilika, about 500 meters from its original place on the island of Philae. Its buildings include a temple of Hathor, and the visitor can watch the sound and light show at night, which is presented in different languages.
Egypt was a prosperous part of the parts of the Roman Empire, it became truly rich and several new cities were built in it, and among the most famous facilities in Egypt in the Roman era is what is called the Pharaoh’s bed, that is, the booth of Trajan, and this monument was built on the island of Philae by Trajan, the Roman ruler.#philaetemple

temple on a stunning island
one of my favourite temples I have visited in Egypt. it located in the southern part of Egypt. and the special thing about this temple is first you need to take the boat to get there since it located on this island.
this is the most picturesque temples, and the history is really fascinating. i highly recommend to hire a guide or read up online before visiting the temple.
this temple was initially submerged and abandoned, then by he government decided to move this temple from the North to the south, by the lower dam.
the best time to visit this temple is before or around sunset time, while you can take some good pictures of the island and the temple.
this is def one of the best one, must visit place in Aswan and in Egypt #passionpassport #gooutside #egypt#history#temple

The SURPRISING Temple of Philae
This is a must-see Temple in Egypt. To get there is only one way possible: by boat. The temple is in a private island and it’s amazing to arrive there. You feel like you are in a movie. 😳 The temple is beautiful. Every wall is a different history. Its so rich historically. I strongly recommend you to take water with you since there is no stores selling water in this small island. This temple will be forever in my mind.

Philae Aswan Temple: A Journey to Egypt's Ancient Past
#internationaltravel #100waysoftravel
The Temple of Philae is a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture. The temple complex consists of several structures, including the main temple dedicated to Isis, as well as several smaller temples and shrines.
The main temple features a large, fantasy-style hall, supported by large columns decorated with intricate carvings and hieroglyphs.
One of the most striking features of the Temple of Philae is its location on an island in the Nile. Visitors must take a boat to reach the temple, which adds to the sense of wonder and awe one experiences when visiting this ancient site.
Make sure you check the weather and temperature information before choosing your travel date.

Philae Temple and Isis and the Virgin Mary
Located on a small island not far from the Aswan Dam, the Philae Temple, along with the Abu Simbel Temples, is among the first batch of World Cultural Heritage sites. It is also a relocation project from underwater, but its style is quite different and worth seeing. The Philae Temple is dedicated to the goddess of love, Isis, who is the wife of the ancient Egyptian god Osiris and the mother of the pharaoh's protector, Horus. Her status is indeed very high! After ancient Egypt was conquered by Greece, this temple added Greek and Roman elements such as Roman columns. During the Byzantine period, when it was conquered by Rome again, many ancient Egyptian elements were destroyed, and attempts were made to replace them with Christian elements. This is the practical operation of destroying history before destroying a nation. From today's remnants, it can be seen that since the world is so vastly different, the existence of a certain spirit and value must have its rationality. This may be the underlying reason why the Temple of Isis became the last stronghold of ancient Egyptian temples and hieroglyphs, and why Isis became the prototype of the Virgin Mary.

【Egypt】The Temple of Philae
Before departing, I did not deliberately study the history of each temple, but rather researched the historical context and modern development of ancient Egypt. From the perspective of the historical timeline of the early, middle, and late periods of the ancient Egyptian dynasties, one can easily recognize that the Temple of Philae does not conform to the ancient Egyptian architectural style. The main structure of this temple is surprisingly composed of Greek and Roman columns. It is worth noting that when the style of Roman columns began to sweep across the Mediterranean coast, ancient Egypt was already in its twilight years.
Upon further investigation, indeed, this is a construction from the Ptolemaic period. The Temple of Philae was the last bastion of ancient Egyptian religion. In 323 BC, Alexander the Great, the first man to conquer the Eurasian continent, passed away, leaving behind a fragmented Alexander Empire, of which Egypt was a part. After the death of the great emperor, General Ptolemy inherited the territories from Syria to Egypt and established the Ptolemaic dynasty. At the same time, China was in the midst of the Warring States period, and Qu Yuan was almost of age; to the west, after the death of the great emperor, the Central Asian continent was in disarray, with generals still fighting over territories; the Kistai people were still herding at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains; across the Mediterranean, the greatest ancient Greek sage was still Aristotle, who had eleven years left to live. And at this time, ancient Egypt, if counted from the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt in 3150 BC, had already walked the earth for nearly three thousand years!
A magnificent building like the Temple of Philae, which blends Greek, Roman, and Egyptian styles, would be considered a national treasure in any Mediterranean country. However, placed in Egypt, one of the cradles of human civilization, it still seems too young and too insubstantial.

Philae Temple Guide | Encounter the Goddess of Love, Isis
Encounter the Goddess of Love, Isis.📝 The Philae Temple is located on Philae Island in the Nile River, south of Aswan city, dedicated to the goddess Isis.
📝 The murals in Philae Temple are exquisitely crafted, depicting well-known stories from Egyptian mythology, and it is also the place where the ancient Egyptian religion has been preserved the longest.
📝 Since the 1960s, the construction of the Aswan Dam caused parts of the Philae Temple to be submerged. Like the Abu Simbel temples, with the assistance of UNESCO, the temple was relocated to Agilkia Island, more than 500 meters from the original site, and thus preserved.
🎫 Tickets
📍450 Egyptian pounds, next to the ticket office you can give cash to locals to help you buy tickets with a card, refer to images 10-11 for entrance and ticket information.
🚗 Transportation
📍It's about 7 kilometers from Aswan downtown to the Philae Temple pier, roughly a 20-minute taxi ride, costing around 100 Egyptian pounds one way.
📍In Aswan and Luxor, it is recommended to use inDrive and Careem for taxis, as Uber is not very reliable in these areas.
📍Philae Temple is on an island, and cannot be directly reached by car. You need to take a taxi to Marina Philae Temple first, and after buying a ticket at the pier, you can enter the scenic area.
📍However, the funny thing is that the tickets bought at the pier are for the scenic area and do not include the boat ticket to the island.
📍To take a boat to the island, you need to bargain with the Egyptians. At that time, I found two Koreans to share a boat, costing about 200 Egyptian pounds per person for a round trip. However, the pier and the boat are both quite beautiful, and it's very suitable for taking portraits on the boat, you can refer to image 12.
📍It is important to note that if you are sharing a boat with others, you need to agree on a return time, usually 2 hours are given to stay on the island. But Philae Temple is really beautiful, especially during sunset. If you want to stay longer on the island, it's best to charter a boat.

I LOVED THIS TEMPLE 😍
Philae Temple, Aswan Egypt.
When you can see the hieroglyphics from the boat, you know it's going to look great close up.
Philae Temple, in #Aswan #Egypt is a quick boat ride from the marina over to the island.
The temple itself use to be located a lot lower, but when the dam was built they moved it to higher ground so that visitors could still experience its wonders.
Love the cute kittens snoozing in the temple - but when has an animal never got me excited
For the cheapest method of getting there, catch a local bus for 5EGP (what an experience too) and then have a boat take you across and wait for you for 300EGP. If you wait for other travellers you can split the cost.

Temple of Philae in Aswan
The Temple of Philae is one of the most important landmarks and tourist attractions of Aswan. Due to its location, you need a boat ride to get there and have the whole experience of visiting this amazing temple with fascinating history which seems almost unreal. The whole visit, including taking pictures, should last between 1 to 2 hours. Beautiful surroundings, impressive architecture are two charactiristics that make worthy to visit this place. Sometimes the boat ticket is not included in the tour so ask in advance so you can plan accordingly bringing some cash to pay for the transportation. It opens to the public everyday from 7 am to 6 pm.

The Philae Temple near Aswan was shared by the Christians and Egyptians at one point. This shows where the Christian leaders made an alter and added crosses to the walls. The Temple of Philae is one of the best preserved three ancient Egyptian Ptolemy temples. It was built for the goddess Eichs, who was born and prospered in ancient Egyptian mythology. The temple was originally located on a small island in the Nile River south of the Aswan Dam. When the Aswan Dam was built in 1962, the island of Philae was inundated. In 1980, the Egyptian government decided to transfer the island's monuments to the island of Egrika, 500 meters north of Philae Island, from the rebuilding, and its original appearance. .
The Egyptians have long worshipped Ahis, and the ancient Egyptian tradition required every Egyptian to pray at least to the Holy Spirit in his life. It is said that the goddess Eichs has 10,000 names. She is not only in charge of childbearing, but also the patron saint of all people, and is therefore highly respected by the ancient Egyptians.
In Egypt, there is no separation between God and man. The gods are among the people. The face of God is the face of mankind, or the face of animals that surround their animals in the sky and the earth, such as cattle. Eagles, snakes, etc. are often used on the head of God.
Tickets: 20 Egyptian pounds (student ticket)
Transportation: Aswan local travel agencies have a lot of all-inclusive tours. If you go there, you can take a motorboat and a three-masted sailing boat at the Aswan Wharf. .

The temple of Philae was built in the age of Ptolemy and the era of Roman rule in the thirtieth dynasty of ancient Egypt. Its architecture also blends the architectural styles of the Pharaohs and the ancient Greek and Roman eras, by the Niktanib Pavilion, the Colonnade, and the Temple of Isis. Wait a few parts. The
Philae Temple was originally located on the island of Philae on the Nile River, the residence of the legendary goddess Isis, the birthplace of the fertility and reproduction, and the holy island of the Pharaonic era. After the Nubians established their own kingdom in Luxor in the 7th century BC, the status of Philae Island was more prominent. The last native pharaoh, Nick Tanib, in ancient Egypt, built the Philae Temple around 350 BC for the sacrifice of the goddess Isis. After the completion of the
Aswan Dam, Philae Island was completely submerged. To save this precious monument, the Egyptian government launched a rescue operation with the help of UNESCO. Experts and engineers first separated the island of Philae from the lake with iron plates. After draining the water on the island, the temple of Philae was cut into tens of thousands of pieces and transported to the nearby island of Aigui Lake, where they were reassembled as they were. stand up. The entire project was completed in 1979. Visitors can now visit the Philae Temple on the island of Aigui Lake by taking a local sailing boat.
Transportation: From the city of Aswan, chartered to and from the Philae Temple Ferry, 100 Egyptian pounds/car. After getting off the bus, you need to take a ferry to Aguilekia Island. The cost of the ferry depends on the price. The cheaper (10 Egyptian pounds / person - 50 Egyptian pounds / person), the price we talked about is 110 Egyptian pounds.
