Osulloc Tea Musuem: Heaven for matcha lovers!
📍Osulloc Tea Museum, Jeju
LOVE THE MATCHA SLUSHIE! (must try) they do sell a set that comes with a matcha roll, matcha soft serve and matcha slushie (also topped with soft serve). The drink was smooth, matcha taste was strong and not diluted, best off the menu! As for the roll cake, preferred the hallabong flavoured one! (give this a try too! the hint of tangerine brings out the flavour of the cake)
After having your desserts, head over to the store to stock up on some matcha snacks, green tea AND DONT MISS THE GREEN TEA MILK SPREAD. Goes well with crackers or plain bread!

Osulloc Cafe in Jeju
After trying out the Osulloc tea in Korea, I have been wanting to visit their main branch in Jeju island where the tea originated. Nothing feels happier than these.
There is a mini museum, a store to buy all tea they ever had and lastly the cafe.
The cafe offers a variety of drinks and pastries. They come individually or in a set which makes it easier for tourists to order.

Very crowded with tourists, all enjoying the green tea rolls, tea and crepe cakes.
They sell many green tea products within the cafe. Innisfree is just next door. Quite a number of products are sold out too. Tea plantation is just outside the cafe but it is not very big.

The location is in the Seogwipo area, close to Innisfree Jeju House and Shinhwa Theme Park. It can be reached by bus and transfers several times, but for those who don't want to bother, you can take a taxi or Jeju Taxi Tour. The temperature is super cold so always have gloves and always bring a jacket or coat, even in spring the air temperature can still be below 10 C. Inside the Tea House, there are also various types of chocolate, cakes and original Osulloc skincare for souvenirs which can only be found in Osulloc.

Green Tea Museum | Jeju Island's 'Arcadia'
| Jeju Island's 'Arcadia'. Located in Seogwipo, it doesn't rank high on many apps' hot recommendations or popular tourist spots, but it's truly an overlooked gem. If it weren't for the strong recommendation from a friend who has lived in Jeju for over a decade, we wouldn't have discovered this treasure.
📍Attraction Address:
Near the Seogwipo Tea Garden on Jeju Island, the museum is themed around green tea and is a place to learn about traditional Korean tea culture.
It is actually part of the Seogwipo area.
🚗Transportation to Attraction:
Before going, online guides made it seem like Seogwipo was far away, with some saying it takes 3-4 hours, but the actual trip was both fast and convenient. The 151 bus from the city goes directly there, it's an express service, and it only takes 40 minutes one way. It couldn't be more convenient
👍️Must-Visit Attractions:
Photos don't do it justice; you have to experience it for yourself.
The entire Seogwipo area is countryside scenery envied by city dwellers, with vast outdoor tea gardens that are very photogenic. Many people come here to take photos, but that's not all.
The real highlight is the museum area, with lawns, greenery, streams, sculptures, and various stylish chairs outdoors...
Indoors, there are product exhibitions, as well as a variety of exquisite tea snacks, including green tea, green tea-themed ice cream, cakes, etc., which are both good-looking and tasty
🎟️Ticket Information:
All outdoor gardens and indoor visits are free of charge, no admission fees. But of course, there's a charge for the tea snacks~
💗Other tips:
Take advantage of the Green Tea Museum not being an ultra-popular hotspot yet, and go enjoy the tranquility~

Steeped in Serenity: Osulloc Tea Museum

The cafe's modern design and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind. Overall, the O'Sulloc Tea Museum is a must-visit for tea enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat in Jeju.

Delicious 😋 desserts at Osulloc Tea Museum
#familytrips2024
Get your tea and dessert fix at the in-house cafe after shopping at Osulloc Tea Museum! There are various hot & iced Matcha & other tea-based drinks, and desserts for selections. You can view the many options from the tv or the food display showcase.
Seats are plentiful but may be crowded due to the proximity of the tables and seats.
The museum also offers a premium tea course where you can experience brewing of your own tea. There are fixed timings for each session but as we are in a rush of time to visit Innisfree and other locations, we did not enquire more about the experience.

A Serene Retreat for Tea Enthusiasts
Nestled within the verdant landscape of Jeju Island, Osulloc Tea Museum stands as a beacon of tranquility and reverence for tea culture. From its stunning vistas to its exquisite tea offerings, every aspect of this haven captivates the senses and nourishes the soul. As I embarked on my journey to explore this sanctuary of serenity, I was filled with anticipation and curiosity, eager to immerse myself in the world of tea and behold the beauty that awaited me.
The moment I set foot on the grounds of Osulloc, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and calm. The air was imbued with the delicate aroma of freshly brewed tea, and the gentle rustle of leaves provided a soothing backdrop to my exploration. Stepping onto the meticulously manicured grounds, I was struck by the harmony between the modern architecture of the museum and the natural beauty that surrounded it. The building's clean lines and minimalist design seamlessly blended with the lush greenery, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance.
As I wandered through the museum, I was captivated by the wealth of information on display. Exhibits detailing the history and cultivation of tea offered fascinating insights into this ancient tradition, allowing me to deepen my understanding of its cultural significance. From the origins of tea cultivation in China to its spread across the globe, each exhibit was a testament to the enduring legacy of this beloved beverage.
Of course, no visit to Osulloc would be complete without indulging in its signature teas. I had the pleasure of sampling an array of exquisite blends, each one a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of the tea masters. From the delicate flavors of green tea to the robust notes of black tea, each cup was a journey unto itself, transporting me to distant lands and ancient traditions. It was clear that the teas at Osulloc were crafted with care and expertise, reflecting the museum's commitment to quality and authenticity.
But perhaps the highlight of my visit was the opportunity to witness the tea-making process firsthand. Led by knowledgeable staff members, I was given a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the art of tea production, from the meticulous selection of leaves to the precise brewing techniques. Watching skilled artisans at work, I gained a newfound appreciation for the dedication and skill required to create the perfect cup of tea.
As I savored my final moments at Osulloc, I couldn't help but reflect on the profound impact this experience had on me. Beyond its stunning vistas and exquisite teas, the museum had imparted a sense of tranquility and reverence for nature that stayed with me long after I had left its grounds. In a world filled with noise and chaos, Osulloc served as a sanctuary of calm, reminding me of the simple pleasures that await those willing to slow down and savor the moment.
In conclusion, my visit to Osulloc Tea Museum was nothing short of transformative.

A must-visit for tea lovers
Rather than a museum, it's an amazing botanical garden center! So many beautiful plants as well as shops, cafes, and a small tea brewing exhibition! The cafe is delicious, with lots of Hallabong (a native orange of Jeju Island) and matcha snacks and drinks! We personally love the matcha soft drink and Hallabong freedom! The shop has skincare brand Innisfree, soap making kits, and other good stuff! The main tea brewing exhibition has some tea for sale, and we even got free sample packs! The exhibition shows the method of making tea and small tea samples in paper cups. Most of the exhibits are in Korean with English attached! Another special feature of this exhibition is the huge tea field! It's beautiful! The entire "museum" is also filled with colorful giant hydrangea flowers! You should definitely go here, even if you're not a tea lover like me!

❄️Travel to Jeju in Winter!❄️
For my first ever solo trip this winter, I decided to go to Jeju. I was a bit hesitant at first considering how most people talked about the unreliable public transportation and suggest getting a car to get around, I would say it really is better to experience it for yourself first.
Public transportation is not difficult, it’s actually quite convenient considering how the bus stops are broadcasted in English and there’s plenty of signs everywhere. Each bus stop has an interactive map that shows you which bus is approaching and the relevant stops. It’s touch screen and you can easily change the language to English.
For any Korea related travels, I’d recommend these 3 apps: Kakaomaps, Kakaotaxi and google translate! Kakaomaps gives you the exact way/ stops in order to go to the place you wish to go. However, the bus stops are in Korean and without google translate, I really wouldn’t know where to get off so please have these two things ready.
On the first day of my solo trip, I went to Osulloc, a tea museum. I would say it’s not as immersive of an experience as one would expect but the architecture and the overall ambience of the place was nice. It really helped how the weather and climate in jeju is quite pleasant. It’s family friendly and they have a cafe that sells great delicacies, as well as souvenirs made with the tea from the fields.
Innisfree is also nearby so you can make a quick stop for some authentic and organic goods from their beauty store as well as their bakery (where I got hallabong + mandarin jam! Really good btw, recommend!)
Will post about snow and hallasan hiking soon :D

🇰🇷 Arriving at Osulloc Tea Museum
A popular tea museum in Jeju whereby you can learn more about tea, visit plantations and buy many green tea cosmetics and merchandise. It is also a nice place to have tea and enjoy the countryside view. There is no entry fee and parking are also free. Even if you don’t spend here, you also can enjoy the views. I see some locals bring their own food and picnic here even though there are more tourists here. So these locals are probably not from Jeju. This place close late at 6pm so you have plenty of time.
