Our walk led us to a nearby park, where we admired the iconic Welcoming Morning Sunlight Bridge, beautifully illuminated at night.  ✧ Walked around Hoan Kiem Lake in the morning
it was really nice walking around at 7am and seeing everyone slowly start their day in the morning. there were so many elderly people doing tai chi, zumba, fishing and playing badminton around the park and opening their shops, really interesting to see. 
Hoan Kiem Lake is really pretty at night as well, we stopped by there again to watch the sunset and take some pix ~ 
✧ Exploring Old Quarter
There were so many streets selling different things like clothes, gifts, snacks and more and the Old Quarter really comes alive at night. And they do hold a huge night market every Saturday. 
✧ Hang Da Market
we visited their underground level which is where they sell secondhand clothes, shoes and accessories. went there to thrift but be prepared to haggle a lil bcuz they really raise the price up so much for tourists and are very insistent on you purchasing something even if youre just lookin around 😭 
✧ Choc Dong Tac Market
one huge giant thrift market, they have rows and rows of shops just selling secondhand clothes and for cheap! when i say its just mountains of clothes they really are mountains…some clothes are just lying on the floor in the shops and getting stepped on 😀 you just gotta have the patience and stamina to dig through everything…..def can find some really nice pieces here 
✧ HieuSecondhand and Tiem Cassette Nau
not really thrift but a shop selling vintage clothes and they had a second level selling casettes and records (Tiem Casette)! pretty nice place and they had a lot of vintage designer items for an okay price. 
✧ Ta Hien Beer Street
VERY crowded place but very happening!!! promoters will be trying to pull you in to their bars/restaurants just make sure you take note of your belongings and also the guys here abit pervy so just be careful 😵💫 lots of bars to try and is also the main street where all the clubs are! 
✧ St Joseph’s Cathedral
stopped by at night because they were having a mini christmas event so we came to take some pics! it was really crowded tho but cathedral was pretty, i think it looked nicer at night with all the lights 
✧ Vincom Centre
just a standard shopping mall, i think its one of their biggest malls there 
✧ Trang Tien Plaza
one of the fancier malls i’ve seen, its so pretty at night and all the big designer brands are there.

The shop has many Chinese stationery tapes and sticky notes. The shop is located on the second floor of an unassuming building. The shop owner speaks English. Always - Harry Potter cafe

I’m a massive Harry Potter fan, so finding out about Always cafe was a treat for me. Located within the old quarter of Hanoi, it’s hidden in the furthest out street opposite Backstreet tours. Always boasts a small but perfected menu, and guests can shop around for Harry Potter related gifts at the same time. Dress up is welcome for visitors, with free dress up robes at the entrance. Water puppet show Hanoi

Ok the photo look kind of errier due to the lighting of the show. Ok those who vistied Hanoi will know about the famous water puppet show . So buy ticket in advance as it is almost impossible to walk in the first show start at 3pm and last show is 8pm . It is located long the tian Ho lake near the old quarter.. there 3 range of ticket the front middle and back 200,150amd 100k . The whole show is about an 1 . Getting There - By flight! Hanoi is reachable by flight and sleeper bus. We chose to take flight from Danang to Hanoi because we want to save our time so that we can have more time to explore Hanoi 🤩 The shortest distance from Danang to Hanoi is 771km so usually for sleeper bus, they offer overnight ride with at least 13 hours in the bus. Attractions - Old quarters have the most attractions. We love the ambients and environments in Hanoi. It is very chillax and romantic especially during evening. You can come during winter to experience a different Vietnam 😎 [The weather is good too! around 12C at night] Hotels - All the hotels in Hanoi are equally good. One con of the hotel is the room size usually is not big, they have limited space in the room as the land in Hanoi is very extremely expensive. Most of the hotel in Hanoi provide breakfast. but if you wish to have a local breakfast, pho eat together with the fried dough u must not missed! There is a very well-known night market in old quarters which sell a lot of souvenirs and clothes. Most of the clothes are with price tag so you are hardly bargain. The old quarters at Hanoi is a MUST for travellers especially Friday, Saturday and Sundays; the roads are closed during these days weekly where we can see buskers and people partying!! There are also various coffee and eateries around the areas, where travellers ar spoilt for choice, and can savour the local Hanoi dishes such as Bun Cha, Vietnamese spring rolls, Bahn Mi, Pho etc. , and have a try at their famous egg coffee etc. There is also a lake nearby where there are several tourist landmarks and people who enjoy the windy night breeze walking around the lake and relaxing during weekends. Truly a place to go while in Hanoi!!

Balancing a combination of fragrance, taste and colour, food in Vietnam is an integral part of life that often takes centre-stage. We sampled some delicious Vietnamese cuisine just like the locals do, by strolling through the hidden alleyways and bustling markets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. With its narrow streets and antique brick houses, it makes for a nostalgic trip back through time in a fast developing city as you wander through the meandering alleys where merchants and street hawkers gather to sell produce ranging from seafood to exotic fruits. 🥢Dried Beef Salad Nom Bo Kho is a delicious dried beef salad that has become a familiar street food snack. With a mixture of julienned green papaya, strips of beef and spicy beef jerky, and topped with herbs, peanuts, and a sweet and sour dressing, it’s different flavours and textures are a moreish combination. 🥢Fermented Pork, Pillow Cake, Spring Rolls, Sweet Donut The fermented pork, though sweet and sour in taste, held a rubbery texture we couldn’t quite get used to, whilst the spring roll wasn’t really something we’d consider to be groundbreakingly innovative. The pillow cake, on the other hand, we couldn’t get enough of. As a great dish for cold days, it’s pastry is crispy and filled with finely chopped glass noodles and mushrooms served alongside a dipping sauce of garlic, chilli, sugar, lime juice, fish sauce and water. To finish, treat yourself to a sweet donut. With innards made from sweet mashed mung bean and coated in sesame seeds, its sweet filling and crispy outer shell will leave you wanting more. 🥢Egg Coffee It was said to have emerged when a resident of Vietnam working at the Sofitel Legend Hanoi Hotel ran out of milk and decided to use the following concoction instead. Traditionally prepared with egg yolks, sugar, condensed milk, Robusta coffee, and served in a bowl of hot water to retain it’s warmth, it is a super smooth and creamy beverage. 📍Hanoi, Vietnam #leaveyourmark

The old town of Hanoi has basically remained the same for many years. It looks like an old city that is rundown and a little messy. But here is the purest of Hanoi, the real life of the locals. Although the old town of Hanoi lacks the heights of modern cities, there are many ancient buildings and shops, many historic temples and parks, and a lot of history. There are still many things to see.  Strolling in the old town, the one that impressed me the most is their motorcycle team. The people in Hanoi often ride motorcycles. The crossroads, the black motorcycles, the green lights and the deafening sounds of the motorcycles are all a part of the scenery. There are also tourist tricycles, where the tourist sits in the front and the rider is at the back. It is a great way to take pictures of the old town. 

William Cumulus is not an exaggeration, this may be the best restaurant I have ever eaten in Hanoi and even in Vietnam. It is hidden in a very inconspicuous alley, winding around and climbing up the second floor is the restaurant, and the entire restaurant has only four tables. The experience of the boss here is an inspirational movie. He used to be a shoemaker on the street. When he was a child, he had to pay for the whole family. Then he learned the chef through the National Student Welfare Society and also cooked for the national leadership. Now I have opened a small shop here, I have learned a lot of languages, and set up a fund to give children who are difficult to survive on the street. The restaurant is mainly based on Vietnamese cuisine. The barbecue rice noodles are a must-have. The owner will help me personally. The taste is really the best, no one. The rice noodles are moderately sweet and the barbecue is just right. Also worth recommending is the tofu here. The taste is similar to that of Chinese food, but it has been improved to make it more delicious.
