I enjoyed visiting The Glyptotek or simply known as Glyptoteket which is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. I really love the entrance of the museum which is a garden with a lot of palm trees. Next to the garden is a restaurant where you can enjoy a good coffee and the food was absolutely delicious. 😋 Inside the museum was a huge collection of sculptures. I've read that there are paintings there as well, but I haven't looked into it as I spent all of my time admiring the sculptures. There was also a special exhibition about the City of Amarna - City of the Sun God when I visited. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, a name that immediately brings to mind the world-famous beer brand, but this is definitely an art museum worth visiting 🖼️ The entire museum blends historical and modern architectural design. As soon as you step in, you're greeted by a lush indoor garden, with a massive glass roof giving the impression of stepping into an open Roman forum. The architecture draws inspiration from Egyptian buildings and small village elements, aiming to create a perfect interaction between art and ambiance. ☕️ Next to the garden is a café called 'pique-nique,' perfect for having breakfast before exploring the museum. Additionally, the museum features Morandi tones, which is why it's also known as the most beautifully colored museum in Scandinavia. Even though I don't know much about art, it's definitely worth visiting for appreciation and photography 🤍✨

In 1888, Carl Jacobsen, the founder of the New Carlsberg beer brand, donated his entire collection to the Danish government on the condition that a museum be built to exhibit these items. Thus, the New Carlsberg Glyptotek rose from the ground in the heart of Copenhagen. To this day, the New Carlsberg Glyptotek is still renowned for its sculpture exhibits, which include many statues from the ancient Roman era, as well as artworks from the Etruria region surrounding Rome during the ancient Greek era. The museum's collection includes over ten thousand art pieces and archaeological finds, particularly famous for ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, ancient Egyptian mummies; masterpieces by French Impressionist masters such as Gauguin, Manet, Degas, Monet, Cézanne, Renoir, and Van Gogh. I accidentally saw a post from instagram called “Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek” and i was thinking that it was just another museum to visit but it turned out to be an extraordinary place that you can enjoy the shapes and curves of those sculptures.
