Three-day forest vacation log at Hidden Jiuxi.
i people gather! If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of popular attractions, then the Jiuxi-Yangmeiling area in Hangzhou is definitely a hidden gem. It's more niche and comfortable than West Lake, and much quieter than Longjing Village. Three days and two nights is just right.
Stroll along the Jiuxi Eighteen Streams, where clear springs flow through the cracks in the stones at your feet, as if singing an ancient tune. The mountains and forests are lush and colorful, with a view at every step. It's so quiet that you can only hear the rustling of leaves and the babbling of streams, as if you've entered a hidden paradise. On both sides are dense bamboo forests and tea gardens, full of greenery that lifts your spirits. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the path.
Cycling here is another kind of enjoyment. The wheels gently roll over the stone road, making a rustling sound. Feel the speed of the wind and the thrill of freedom. For those seeking more challenges, the mountain trails of Yangmeiling offer excellent hiking routes. The mountain roads are winding, sometimes steep, sometimes gentle, with every step full of adventure.
When you reach Yangmeiling, the pink walls and black tiles of the houses are scattered, with the smoke hidden in the tea fragrance. Time slows down, peaceful and leisurely, with the beauty of the niche quietly blooming.
Rest at the "Hangzhou Millennium Resort Hotel." Entering the hotel is like stepping into an elegant old world, with details showing classical and high-end style. The rooms are even more stunning. Open the window to see lush greenery, with morning mist or evening glow casting light and shadow on the leaves. It's the ultimate expression of Chinese romance, full of wildness and romance.
After strolling and enjoying the scenery in Jiuxi, return to the hotel and find an outdoor seat. Set up a delicate Chinese afternoon tea, with the fragrance of Longjing tea lingering and the snacks soft and glutinous. Enjoy the tea garden at dusk, letting your body and mind settle with the tea fragrance.
Here, there's no hustle and bustle. Escape the crowds, quietly guard a corner, and indulge in the gentle blend of nature's gifts and classical atmosphere.
For solo travelers, this arrangement is both comfortable and pleasant. After a tiring hike, whether swimming in the constant temperature pool or interacting with small animals in the children's playground, the trip becomes more colorful. The hotel's pet-friendly policy also allows friends with furry kids to enjoy a carefree family time. You can relax in the constant temperature pool and enjoy a peaceful time of your own.
In Jiuxi, I found a new way of traveling, one that's closer to nature and more relaxing. Here, every step is a scenery, every place is a story, and every breath is an intimate contact with nature.

Catch the last of autumn at Jiuxi 18 Stream.
🎐 Jiuxi 18 Stream is a famous attraction in Hangzhou, located in the mountains west of West Lake. The best time to visit is spring and autumn. Now that it's autumn, you can visit on the weekend.
🎐 It is said that "Stream in Stream" is the confluence of two streams, "Jiuxi" and "18 Stream," forming the rushing Jiuxi River, which flows into the Qiantang River.
🎐 Coming here is like embracing nature. This natural oxygen bar will help you relax.
🎐 Walking along the path, you can see the stream crossing the path and various trees, with birdsong and the sound of the stream in your ears. It's beautiful no matter where you take a photo.
🎐 In autumn, you can see yellow and red maple leaves, and golden ginkgo leaves reflected in the clear water, making you marvel at the picturesque scenery.

I don't want to leave! I just want to immerse myself in the greenery of Hangzhou.
Jiuxi Yanshu is commonly known as "Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies." On sunny days, every plant and tree is clearly visible; on rainy days, everything is shrouded in a thin mist, like a fairyland, which is also the origin of the name "Yanshu" (smoky trees).
Streams, tea gardens, mist, and green mountains are the four main features of this scenic area. As you hike along the uneven paths, you can see the misty fog draping over the green tea trees on the hills like silk, and hear the babbling streams flowing at the foot of the mountains, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
"Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies, the most beautiful place in the mountains," wrote Qing Dynasty scholar Yu Yue, capturing the infinite beauty of this earthly paradise. The catchy repetition in the poem "Layer upon layer of mountains, winding roads, tinkling springs, and tall trees" brings the ethereal fairyland closer to the heart. Among the Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies, the most beautiful are the "mountains, roads, springs, and trees."

Hiking in Jiuxi is so much fun!
The "Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies" from our primary school textbooks are as beautiful as they sound. The scenery is beautiful and cool, making it perfect for summer.
🌴For family trips with children, you can choose to start hiking from Longjing Village. The route is downhill and relatively easy. The whole journey takes about 3 hours. (If the children walk slowly)
🌴Along the way, you'll see tall trees, gurgling streams, and large tea plantations. The scenery is very cool and beautiful.
🌴There is very little direct sunlight along the way, and it is mostly shady. It's like walking in a forest. In summer, there will be mosquitoes, so it's best to take mosquito repellent measures.
🌴Along the way, you'll encounter streams that have flooded the road surface at regular intervals, and you'll have to step on the stones to cross the river.
🌴The stream is very clear and shallow, and children can play in the water. The main thing is that it's cool and not sunny, and the pebbles in the water are very beautiful.
🌴The tea plantation is very beautiful. We met cross-country hikers who were jumping down the mountain from the tea plantation at a fast pace.
🌴Tea picking is not allowed. Many tea trees are fenced off. There are some wild tea trees growing by the roadside, which can let children experience the fun of tea picking.
🌴The whole journey is basically natural scenery, with no shops. There are restaurants at the beginning and end of the journey, as well as in Jiuxi Yancun along the way, so you need to prepare enough water and snacks.

The winding path and the gurgling spring make Jiuxi worth visiting.
Jiuxi Shiba Jian is famous for its streams and Jiuxi Yanshu. It is quiet and childlike. The winding path is not tiring at all, and the streams are one after another. The clear stream gives a very cold feeling. In summer, it is a paradise for children.
Now is not the most beautiful time of Jiuxi. When the maple leaves turn red, the ginkgo turns yellow, and the soapberry is colorful, that is the best way to open Jiuxi.
Parking: There are fewer parking spaces in the scenic area, 50 per day, and you need to make an appointment in advance at Yunshang West Lake. However, it is not recommended to park in the scenic area. The road is narrow and there are many pedestrians. It is more convenient to park in the parking lot outside the scenic area, but you have to walk more. The environment here is worth walking.

Stay in a diplomat's mansion in Jiuxi, West Lake! Hangzhou YAZHI·Mengxi Manor.
It would be a pity if you come to Hangzhou and don't visit Jiuxi. "Jiuxi and Shiba Jian are the best places in West Lake." Its beauty is not single, and the scenery changes with the four seasons. What remains unchanged is that you can see the city's charm. Different from the hustle and bustle of West Lake, it is quiet and elegant here, as if it is favored by heaven. The water in Jiuxi flows from top to bottom, trekking quietly, flowing through the four seasons of Fanghua, nourishing endless aura.
The hotel is located in the Jiuxi Shiba Jian Scenic Area, in the tea garden field, the water flows at the foot of the mountain, and the YAZHI·Mengxi Manor in the lush greenery is rebuilt from the famous diplomat's mansion in the Republic of China period. The famous Hong Kong design team polished it, carefully retained the original appearance, visited various places to find the furniture of the Republic of China, and constructed a style full of historical flavor. The white walls and black tiles outline endless poetry and painting with the simplest colors. The ancient wooden stone bridge reveals the natural lightness of the wild residence in the mountains of the south of the Yangtze River between the clear and dust-free.
The guest rooms of YAZHI·Mengxi Manor are all in "high" places. Each room is a view room with a terrace, either looking at the mountains or looking at the Qiantang River. 22 bubble pools are distributed in 22 bubble pool rooms. In any season, you can enjoy the wonderful holiday of watching the scenery while soaking in the private soup. In the room, the combination of solid wood furniture and cement original color is extremely coordinated. The ceramic retro tea set on the coffee table, the health books on the bedside, and the wooden art case chandelier are all poetic and emotional. The Golden Coil mattress, Yamaha surround sound system and a full set of smart home control systems, every detail allows you to enjoy the most advanced technology experience in the most primitive environment.
Come here to enjoy a quiet place, hide the real mountains and rivers, it is a paradise. The unity of heaven and man, naturally, makes Mengxi Manor like Jiuxi flowing water, eroding the hearts of people with nostalgic feelings over the years. People say "one day in the sky, a thousand years in the world" may be like this, only when you go in can you interpret the meaning of this sentence and give yourself a satisfactory explanation.

This is not "Little Jiuzhaigou"!!! It's Hangzhou... so beautiful it leaves you speechless.

From Jiuxi Yanshu to Longjing Eight Sights - Mountain Stream Summer Tour Route (Part 2)
Previously, from Yangmeiling to Jiuxi Yanshu, the journey was downhill, not tiring at all, with many tourists playing and cooling off in the stream. The shallow pools and waterfalls at Jiuxi Yanshu are quite popular, and there are long queues at the electric car station.
After a short rest here, you can walk along another path that intersects with the stream at nine points to reach Longjing Village. The path is shaded by lush trees and flanked by tea gardens. Every time you encounter the stream, you can enjoy the cool sensation on your feet, instantly dispelling the heat.
After passing the Longjing Tea House, near the Longjing Temple bus stop, on the right side in the downhill direction, there are stone steps leading to the Longjing Eight Sights. This lesser-known spot is serene and pleasant, with tea houses and car access, making it perfect for a leisurely gathering.
Exiting the Longjing Eight Sights, the nearest bus stop is the next stop from Longjing Temple, Nantianzhu, where buses 87 and 27 are available. Next to the bus stop is the 'Zhejiang Army's Tomb of Martyrs Who Conquered Jinling,' also known as the Tomb of Xu Xilin. Although the gate is closed, you can still see some of it through the fence, and there is a detailed introduction at the entrance that you can read.
From Yangmeiling through Jiuxi Yanshu to Longjing Eight Sights, it takes no more than an hour and a half without stopping, and there are very few uphill sections, making it a particularly effortless summer trip.

Strolling by the stream, enjoying the forest oxygen bar
Almost ten years ago, I visited Jiuxi in Hangzhou with a good buddy, marveling at such a large green space within Hangzhou city area, with mountains, water, and green tea plantations, simply beautiful.
From Hangzhou East Station🚄, it takes about forty minutes⏰ by subway🚇+ bus🚌 to reach Jiuxi bus station. Then it's all on foot from there.
When we went, it happened to be the plum rain season🌧️, so the water level in the mountain streams surged, and some areas were even cordoned off, prohibiting entry.
Of course, the scenery along the way is still very beautiful, a natural forest oxygen bar, with plenty of negative oxygen ions , but also a lot of mosquitoes🦟, so it's definitely recommended to bring your own mosquito repellent haha!!! Otherwise, you'll be bitten all over with bumps
It's suggested to reserve half a day for the visit, so the whole trip won't be too rushed, and you can slowly enjoy the natural scenery along the way, sometimes with the babbling streams, sometimes with the shade of green trees, and the lush Longjing tea plantations, which is very pleasant.

Hangzhou's Jiuxi is so ethereally beautiful that it seems otherworldly
🌟 Highlight Features: I find myself running from Shanghai to Hangzhou every now and then just to breathe in the fresh air! Hangzhou is like my botanical garden, a metropolis! The air quality here is superb!
✅ This time, it was to check in at Jiuxi Yanshu, coinciding with the Qingming holiday. The number of tourists was beyond imagination! But after the visit, I felt it was 'worth the trip' because it was truly beautiful to the extreme!
👍 Jiuxi is such a surprising place! It's just as beautiful as its name suggests.
🗓 Itinerary Suggestion: It's recommended to take a taxi or bus to Jiuxi Station. We drove there this time, but during the holiday, it was too crowded to find a parking spot!
✅ Must Experience: This place has mountains, water, and stunning scenery, full of greenery, a favorite among many kids! You can play in the water, catch tadpoles, have water fights, suitable for children aged 3 and above for family hiking or cycling.

🗓 Itinerary: Jiuxi Station—Jiuxi Yanshu—Jiuxi Eighteen Streams—Longjing Village.
❤ Recommended: Along the way, there's 'Jiuxi Xiaozhu' where you can eat and drink tea, or you can go to Longjing Village for food and drinks. If you take the Ten Li Langdang route, there will be more steps...
📝tips: A reminder to everyone to be prepared for sun protection! Bring umbrellas, sun hats, drinking water, snacks, etc.
🌟 Highlight Features: Here comes the key point‼️
💰 Average Spending: There's no admission fee here, you can pay to take a sightseeing car to the attractions, which seems to be 8 yuan per person. But personally, I think walking or cycling is also quite enjoyable~
📝 Along the way, you will pass through many tea gardens, and now is the picking season. There are also streams that babble along the way, clear to the bottom, a very healing and beautiful sight indeed!

One of the New Ten Scenes of West Lake - Nine Creeks Meandering Through a Misty Forest
Nine Creeks Meandering Through a Misty Forest, located about fifteen kilometers from West Lake in the Longjing tea region of Hangzhou's West Lake District, is one of the New Ten Scenes of West Lake, commonly known as 'Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies'. It lies beneath the Jiguan Hill in the mountains west of West Lake. To the north, it connects to Longjing, and to the south, it runs through the Qiantang River. It is a place filled with poetic and picturesque charm. Here, the water is crystal clear, the mountains undulate, and the tea gardens stretch on endlessly, creating a scene as beautiful as a poem or painting. The scenery of Nine Creeks in autumn is even more breathtaking. The colorful leaves, clear streams, and lush tea gardens compose a series of exquisite paintings.
Recommended route: Jiuxi Road - Xizhongxi - Longjing Village Transportation strategy: Take buses 280, 291, 202, 324, or 808 to Jiuxi Station and get off. Walk towards Longjing or Manlong Guiyu through Nine Creeks Meandering Through a Misty Forest Park; take bus 27 to the terminal station Longjing Tea House and get off. No admission fee is required.

Went to Jiuxi for some oxygen therapy, it's incredibly beautiful! Highly recommend hiking!
Jiuxi's ecosystem is really rich, it's all about breathing in the fresh air
Route→Jiuxi Bus Station - Jiuxi Yan Tree - Jiuxi Eighteen Streams - Longjing Village - Shili Langdang - Yunqi Bamboo Path
Starting from Jiuxi Bus Station, you can see streams, waterfalls, tea gardens, forests, and bamboo gardens all the way. The water is crystal clear and the trees are lush. From Jiuxi to Jiuxi Eighteen Streams, my favorite part of the journey only takes an hour. It's an ancient stone path, with hardly any cars passing by, surrounded by tall trees and extensive tea gardens. The highlight is the many streams that cross the old path, it's incredibly peaceful and beautiful.
From Longjing Village to Shili Langdang
In Longjing Village, it seems that every household makes a living from tea, and you can buy some tea leaves to take home. Climbing up the tea mountain, you'll see vast expanses of tea trees, a sea of green that's very soothing to the eyes, and great for taking photos, although we didn't make it to the most photogenic spot.
Shili Langdang is the most exhausting part, requiring a climb, but once you reach the top, you can overlook the entire tea garden and see the whole West Lake in the distance.
Yunqi Bamboo Path is all about bamboo forests, and on the way, you also pass by the Zhenji Temple. Too tired to go in and take a look, at the exit, I found out that you actually need to buy a ticket to enter Yunqi Bamboo Path, 8 yuan per person.
My friends suggest traveling light, bring snacks, water, and a hat, and be sure to wear long sleeves and pants, as there are many bugs on the mountain. In summer, there must be a lot of mosquitoes, so bring mosquito repellent.

A Spiritual Journey by the Mountain Stream
💦Streams reflecting the hustle and bustle, a visit to the hidden gems of Hangzhou🌿
🌸Hangzhou, a city known as 'Paradise on Earth', is always full of endless surprises. This time, I embarked on a journey to explore the secret spots of Hangzhou, experiencing the beauty of streams mingling with the city's vibrancy.
🏞️In the early morning, I followed a trail through the mountains, searching for the sound of babbling brooks. Passing through a bamboo forest, I saw the stream crystal clear to the bottom, like a silver ribbon winding through the mountains. I crouched down, gently scooped up a handful of stream water, and the cool sensation instantly spread throughout my body, as if washing away all fatigue.
🏙️In the afternoon, I arrived in the bustling downtown area of Hangzhou. Skyscrapers rise abruptly from the ground, and the streets are lively with traffic and people. I strolled through the streets with an ancient charm, feeling the blend of history and modernity in this city. Whether it's the beautiful scenery by the West Lake or the wonderful performances in Songcheng, they all made me linger and forget to return.
🌙In the evening, I returned to the mountains. At this time, the afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the stream, creating a glittering effect, stunningly beautiful. I lit a Kongming lantern and let it drift away with the breeze, carrying my blessings and wishes, witnessing the beauty of this secret place together.

Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies | A water play destination worth visiting N times!
Wandering in Hangzhou, beauty is everywhere, even searching seems superfluous.
In Jiuxi, I found a beauty that is different from West Lake, full of mystery and subtlety. Forests, tea trees, ancient paths, mountain streams, and ancient pavilions interweave here. The dense trees in the mountains are lush and dripping with greenery. Waterfalls pour down along the vines and cliffs, merging into the continuous streams, and in an instant, they become a restless green.
On a hot summer day, take a water play trip with family and friends, indulge in the full view of greenery, and the restless heart gradually calms down.
