Hatshepsut’s Masterpiece: A Temple Fit for a Pharaoh
Temple of Hatshepsut is located in Luxor Egypt. It is a very magnificent mortuary temple built for Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most powerful female pharaohs.
Getting There - I went there as part of my Nile cruise tour around Luxor and Aswan.
Highlights - The temple is carved into the cliffs of the desert. The temple has stunning grand three tiered terraces, colonnaded halls, and carbings that depict Hatshepsut's reign and stories. The temple is known for its unique architecture and stands as a testament to Hatshepsut's legacy and the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization. Visited the incredible Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor, and it was absolutely breathtaking! This ancient masterpiece, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, stands as a testament to the power and legacy of one of Egypt’s most famous female pharaohs 🇪🇬
🌟 Majestic Architecture:
The temple is a marvel of ancient Egyptian architecture, with its grand terraces and towering columns blending seamlessly into the limestone cliffs. The symmetry and scale of the structure are truly awe-inspiring—seeing it in person was like stepping back in time🏺
🗿 Rich History:
Dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt in the 15th century BC, this temple is a tribute to her reign and her divine right to rule. The walls are adorned with detailed carvings and hieroglyphics that tell the story of her life and accomplishments. It’s amazing to see how well-preserved the art and inscriptions are after thousands of years! 📜
💫 Why I Loved It:
What I loved most about the Hatshepsut Temple is its unique setting and design. The way it’s built directly into the cliffs, with the desert landscape as a backdrop, makes it one of the most visually stunning temples in Egypt. It’s a place where history and beauty come together in the most remarkable way.
If you’re in Luxor, visiting the Hatshepsut Temple is a must. It’s not just a piece of history—it’s a work of art! 🌄

The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut
The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple of Ancient Egypt located near Luxor. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut. It is considered as one of the most beautiful of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. It is located at Deir el-Bahri which is in the left bank of the Nile river. The king of Egypt had to build tombs and temples to honour the gods and pharaohs and keep their memories alive for all time. Queen Hatshepsut gave the order to build this beautiful temple. She took about fifteen years to build the temple, which told the story of her life. Bring plenty of water and expect to spend between 1 to 2 hours visiting this place.

This is Egypt
I was so happy to visit Egypt. This is the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor city. It was built during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty. It is definitely HUGE and it was carved on the stones. 😱 The entrance fee cost less than 3 euros and you can go inside - unfortunately many os the statues inside were destroyed over time. Definitely worth the visit!

Ballon ride in Luxor/Egypt is a MUST
I was super scare about riding a ballon since I haven’t done it before but it’s a MUST. It is really cheap in Egypt comparing to other places in the world. We paid 60 dolares per person and it was amazing. It was completely safe. It is not scare at all! I’m usually scared about being high but I felt safe. Please ride a Ballon in your trip to Egypt. You can even see the Valley of the Kings, where they secret buried all the pharaohs. You will never forget it!

Temple of Hatshepsut - excellent architecture
Hatshepsut's mortuary temple is located below the cliff at Deir el Bahari on the west bank of the Nile River. The side of the mausoleum faces the city of Luxor, its back leans against the hard and vertical cliffs challenging in the middle of the desert. Hatshepsut was the ruler of Egypt around 1479-1458 BC. The temple was built to serve worship after her death. Hatshepsut Temple is pressed against a high cliff face, with 3 large staircases, reaching a height of 30 m.
The mausoleum was ordered built by the Queen herself while she was alive, and was a work ahead of its time. Today, looking outside the mausoleum, everyone cannot help but admire the absolute harmony of the row of pillars. What's even greater is that it was built nearly 1,000 years before the Parthenon - the pride of the Greeks with similar architecture.

The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.
During my trip to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in Egypt, I was captivated by the mysteries and beauty of ancient Egyptian civilization. Upon arriving at this historic site, I was astonished by the unique architectural design and the beauty of the inscriptions decorating the walls. I wandered through her vast courtyard, which reflected the excellence of Queen Hatshepsut's power and authority. I saw the massive columns and dramatic statues that embody the story of the queen's life and achievements. Visiting the Temple of Hatshepsut was a wonderful and fascinating experience because it left me with a connection to Egypt's ancient history and its magnificent cultural heritage.

World Heritage Site:Temple of Hatshepsut
Visiting the Temple of Hatshepsut in Egypt is a regret if you don't, it is one of the landmark buildings in Egypt, standing on that ancient land for more than three thousand years, with high mountains behind the temple top, as if telling some ancient stories. This is a temple of the ancient Egyptian female pharaoh, and its mortuary temple is located east of the Valley of the Kings. It is also the only three-story temple in ancient Egypt. Perhaps she lacked confidence in her pharaoh status, so she carved the relief of "commanded by heaven" in front of the temple gate.
The temples of Egypt are everywhere, it seems that every pharaoh is keen to build temples to show their nobility and authority. Hatshepsut is no exception, her temple is in the form of a memorial hall, built by her subjects to commemorate her great achievements during her reign. The Queen's Temple is located deep in the Valley of the Queens, built on three terraces, with a 100-foot causeway leading to the top of the temple, which is 30 meters high. The walls of the temple also display important life events of the female pharaoh, and the relief on the central balcony of the temple symbolizes the divine birth of Hatshepsut.
The entire temple is situated in a valley surrounded by perilous cliffs. Its simple yet imposing design seems to symbolize the unparalleled pride of Egypt's only queen, as well as her indelible role in Egyptian history. The temple not only represents the queen's authority, but is also another ancient temple dedicated to love, with the difference being that this time the protagonists are not a pharaoh and his wife, but a female pharaoh and her childhood sweetheart. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut is grand and magnificent, sculpted from sandstone to showcase the male image of Queen Hatshepsut, with exquisite and delicate carvings.

The burial temple of Hatshepsut mourns the greatest queen of ancient Egypt. Before telling the story, let us first talk about the Queen's life, which is strikingly similar to Wu Zetian.
1512 BC, the most powerful 18th dynasty founder of ancient Egypt, Thutmose I died (analogous to the death of Emperor Taizong), and the eldest son was married to the prostitute Hatshepsut. The sister-in-law loves, inherited the throne, is for Thutmose II. The two are weak and sick, and they have no heart to govern the country (similar to Li Zhi). After the succession, the power fell to Hatshepsut. A few years later, II died of illness. At this time, Hatshepsut was unstable and could not achieve his ambition. She arranged for the one-year-old boy born to the second son and the nephew to marry his daughter and succeed him, for Thutmose III. As a regent, he himself has full authority to manage state affairs.
son is weak and incompetent, she still wants to be the first female pharaoh in Egypt, so she chose the same method as Wu Zetian---deified herself, she combined her monks to make up her life, calling herself the sun god Amon The daughter (Wu Zetian claims to be the reincarnation of Maitreya), then she began to dress up as a man, wearing a fake beard, and ordered everyone to call her a male pronoun. Hatshepsut became the first and only female pharaoh in Egypt. When she was a Pharaoh, she carefully managed the country and continued to prosper in ancient Egypt.
1458 BC, the generation of the queen fell, the high priest Senmut hosted the funeral, buried his beloved female pharaoh in the Valley of the Kings, and officially opened the temple.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
Not far from the Valley of the Kings is the Temple of Hatshepsut, a temple lying on a wide slope and the terrain gradually rising back. The highest point is connected to the steep limestone cliffs, making the whole building in the embrace of the rock wall, very chic.
The mystery of this temple is mainly related to Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh in ancient Egypt, equivalent to Wu Zetian of our Tang Dynasty. Hatshepsut really implemented the rights of Pharaoh, not the curtains and the government.
Hatshepsut is the 18th dynasty pharaoh who pioneered the ancient Egyptian generation, the only child of Thutmose I and the Queen. She wears fake beards, men's clothing, corsets, hand-held scepters, and majesty. This is the consistent dress of the most powerful female pharaoh in ancient Egypt. Very few people have seen her, her true looks are as mysterious as her legendary story.

The Hatshepsut Temple near the Valley of the Kings, she is the only female pharaoh in the history of Egypt, the niece of Thutmose I and the Queen.
Hateshepsut died 21 years after his reign, and after her death, Syria and Palestine declared independence (later by Thutmose III and recovered). After Thutmose III began the autonomy, he did not immediately begin to eliminate the traces of Hatshepsuts rule. The retaliatory action was only carried out in his late reign, when Pharaoh ordered many engravings engraving her name and image. Destroyed. These ruined statues have been seen in the Egyptian Museum. The
Hatshepsut Temple is located at the bottom of a half-ringed mountain on the north bank of the Nile River, facing the Nile Valley and overlooking the historical capital of Luxor. The whole building is equivalent to cutting half of the mountain, three layers from front to back, one layer is pushed forward by one layer, and when it reaches the third floor, it has been dug into the mountain. Looking from the opposite hill, the building and the mountain profile are golden and golden, and the tourists are like ants. In front of each floor, there are 29 stone pillars arranged horizontally, standing on the top of the sky, squarely in front, and a tens of meters long ramp in the middle connects the front and rear buildings.
Today, there is still a fragrance in the tomb. Is it a miracle? It is a story about love.
Builder is called Sumter. The master loved the female pharaoh, so he wrote the temple with his heart and blood, and built the temple. Pharaoh's tomb finally connected the builder's graveyard. Isn't it very much? romantic.
