This Marriott hotel is a terrific place to relax and enjoy the soft sands and waves of the sea. The hotel is a five star wonder with excellent pools and a brilliant private beach. You can spend the entire day here and just relax. The sand is very soft and the place is a lot quieter than many beaches in Sanya. It’s very closely located to Sanya city and it’s a lot cheaper than the five star hotels in Haitang or Yalong bay. Come visit now! #wecreate #perfumebay

A quiet but stunning beach resort!

Location: Lingshui, Sanya in Hainan island. This hotel is called Xiangshui Bay Marriott hotel. It is a peaceful but very cosy hotel. There is a private beach, several swimming pools and nice sun loungers to enjoy the waves. This area is just over an hour from the Sanya airport but you can definitely spend a few days just at the hotel. We visited in December when it was a little chilly but still amazing . I recommend visiting in spring or summer so you can enjoy the swimming. #lingshui #beach #sanya

Nice beach resort in cool area

This is my first time to come to this part of Hainan. This hotel is close to Wanning which is currently the hippest surfer village in the island. Wanning has many nice restaurants, bars and coffee shops where you can spend day and night. The beach is big and wide and you can try surfing and if you don't surf you can just watch. The hotel has a good location to reach Wanning within 10min car drive. The hotel is good facilities yet it is a bit dated. For me this was not an issue but something to be mindful about. The best part was the beach side with nice sitting area and also surf opportunities as featured in the picture. I mainly came to play tennis but the tennis court is in a bad condition and not recommended. #beach #beachresort #beachvacation

Shenzhou Peninsula is a seaside town half an hour's drive from Lingshui Station. Next to the harbor is Fuliwan, developed by Fuli. The dining and shopping facilities are all there, and the hotel is relatively quiet. Although Fuliwan is only a few hundred meters away in a straight line, it takes at least two kilometers to walk around the bay, which is too hot to walk and difficult to get a taxi... Fortunately, there are electric scooters for rent at the hotel entrance, which provides a unique vacation experience. A two-kilometer ride takes you to the small market in town, where there are many delicious and affordable foods, which is the most unique experience of this hotel. There are many swimming pools in the hotel, but there is too little greenery, and the sun is very hot. The hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room, facing the ocean view of the coconut grove lighthouse harbor. The next morning was quite rich, especially the Lingshui sour noodles, which tasted as good as the outside restaurants... Considering the off-season room rate, this night was indeed a great value.

1⃣️ Check-in experience: When booking, I didn't notice that the hotel opened in 2018, I thought it opened after 2020, so I was a bit disappointed on the day of arrival. It felt a bit old, with some corners showing signs of erosion, and some tiles in the swimming pool were missing. However, I quickly adjusted my feelings. The Marriott service standards were all there. Picture 1 shows the open lobby which still has an island feel. 2⃣️ Entertainment: The children's club has two floors, and kids love the ocean ball pit. There are daily recreational activities, including both paid and free items. You can see the recreational activity schedule in Picture 13. 3⃣️ Swimming pool: ⛱️ A resort hotel must have swimming pools, and this one has three. One for children's play, one standard pool, and one deep and shallow large pool. You can spend hours just in the pools. You can ask the staff for water polo balls, and there are various paddle boards and electric swim rings available for rent. 4⃣️ Breakfast: Both Chinese and Western styles are available, including bread, fruits, coffee, yogurt, salad, buns, egg pancakes, etc. I have a bowl of Lingshui sour noodles every day, which is quite authentic. 5⃣️ Beach: 🏖️ A private beach is essential, only hotel guests can go there. The sand is fine, and the sea breeze is comfortable. 6⃣️ Room: The first two days we had a sea view room, about 40 square meters. On the third day, we were upgraded for free to a suite with a balcony and a small pool, about 95 square meters. Overall, it was clean and tidy, and the room was quickly organized. The room facilities were a bit old, but overall acceptable. If you send a message to the butler, they usually respond quickly.

Good location. Although it is a secluded resort hotel, it is not isolated. It is very close to Lingshui County, and you don't have to trek through mountains and rivers to get in and out. And the surrounding facilities are all available, so there is no need to worry about being trapped. High cost performance. To the north is the Shenzhou Peninsula, and to the south is Qingshui Bay. Located on the same coastline, there are many competitors. But only this one has a stable price trend, and it does not exceed a thousand in the off-season. Focus on member experience. Coming before the weekend, the hotel was crowded with guests. After the front desk processed the identification, I made a small request and was directly upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. Although it is a regular suite with the living room converted into a bedroom, it can meet the needs of a family to stay neatly. Breakfast was included, which was very generous. Suitable for family trips. When going out with parents, it is difficult to grasp the sense of distance. The two-bedroom seems to have no interval but still has privacy for each other. There are also two bathrooms, which is really important. It is said that there are only three or four rooms with two bathrooms in this hotel, so do your homework in advance and it's first come, first served.
