Singapore is a city that perfectly balances cutting-edge modernity with deep-rooted tradition. Jewel Changi Airport, a world-renowned gateway, captivates visitors with its stunning indoor waterfall and verdant gardens, offering an immersive experience beyond the typical airport.
A short trip into the city brings you to Marina Bay Sands, an iconic structure that defines Singapore’s skyline, offering panoramic views from its SkyPark and a wealth of entertainment and luxury. Nearby, Gardens by the Bay mesmerizes with its towering Supertrees and sustainable design, offering a serene escape in the heart of the metropolis.
For a touch of local culture, the city’s vibrant Peranakan heritage is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and art, where the intricate Nyonya style adds a charming touch to Singapore’s cultural tapestry.
Beyond its architectural wonders, Singapore’s food scene is a culinary adventure in itself. From the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice, a simple yet flavorful dish of poached chicken and fragrant rice, to White Bee Hoon, a light and savory rice vermicelli dish packed with seafood goodness, the flavors are diverse and unforgettable. Don’t miss Hainan Curry Rice, where crispy fried pork cutlets, cabbage, and rich curry sauce come together in a comforting meal. For noodle lovers, Mee Pok, a flat egg noodle tossed in a tangy, umami-laden sauce with minced pork and fish balls, is a local favorite that embodies Singapore’s vibrant hawker culture. Each dish tells a story of Singapore’s multicultural influences, making it a true food lover’s paradise.

MARINA BAY SANDS!
Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is nothing short of breathtaking. As I approached this iconic structure, I was immediately captivated by its futuristic architecture—a trio of towering skyscrapers topped by the massive SkyPark that offers panoramic views of the city. Inside, it’s a world of luxury with high-end shops, Michelin-starred restaurants, and the world’s largest infinity pool, which seems to blend seamlessly with the skyline.
Getting to Marina Bay Sands is super easy—just hop on the MRT to Bayfront Station, and you're there!
I checked out the ArtScience Museum, just a quick walk away, with its cool mix of art and tech. As evening set in, I caught the Spectra light and water show, which was pure magic. And don’t miss Gardens by the Bay nearby, with its futuristic Supertrees and stunning flower domes.
If you’re thinking about visiting, just do it! Marina Bay Sands has it all—gorgeous views, luxurious experiences, and plenty of fun. You won’t regret it!

Iconic view of Marina Bay in Singapore
#myhiddengems
I recently completed the Marina Bay hike in Singapore, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The route offers a well-maintained path with stunning views of the iconic Marina Bay skyline and landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands and the Gardens by the Bay.
The walk is leisurely yet invigorating, with plenty of spots to stop and take in the scenery. The waterfront pathway is lined with lush greenery and modern sculptures, adding an artistic touch to the stroll. Early morning or late afternoon walks are particularly beautiful, as the light casts a golden hue over the bay.

Singapore Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck Guide
Singapore, like Hong Kong, is one of the most bustling and modern cities in Asia. Although Singapore is smaller in area than Hong Kong, its land is much flatter, with the highest hill being less than 170 meters. The flat terrain makes development easier but lacks vantage points to appreciate the skyline. Without high points like Victoria Peak or Lion Rock, one could only look up at Singapore's skyscrapers from the ground. That changed with the construction of the observation deck atop Marina Bay Sands, giving visitors the chance to view Singapore's skyline from 200 meters above.
Looking south, you'll see Marina Bay Garden and the sea. To the east, you'll spot the Ferris wheel and numerous residential areas. The northwest view is the most stunning, showcasing the high-rise buildings of the business district and the quaint architecture of the old town. On clear days, the setting sun paints the sky red.
🔝 Tips
There are three main ways to reach the top-floor observation deck:
First, stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, which grants you access to the infinity pool on the top floor. This unrestricted access, coupled with the infinity pool, makes for perfect photo opportunities. However, a night's stay costs over $3000, which is quite expensive.
Second, dine at the top-floor restaurant, but be prepared for long queues during sunset. On the day we visited, there were over 30 people in line.
Third, purchase a ticket for the observation deck. Remember to book your tickets in advance, as same-day tickets are unlikely to get you to the deck during sunset or evening hours. Therefore, make sure to buy your tickets online before your trip.
📸 Photo Tips
It's best to bring a phone or camera with a telephoto lens (200mm or above) and familiarize yourself with Singapore's iconic buildings beforehand. This way, you can capture the unique architecture in one day. Check the sunset time at the local observatory and buy tickets for an hour before sunset. Start by enjoying the view of Marina Bay Garden, then slowly move to the cityscape of Marina Bay and the old town, and quietly wait for the sunset.
Marina Bay Sands: Known for its unique durian-shaped dome, it's a prominent performing arts center.
Singapore Flyer: One of the largest observation wheels in the world, offering another perspective of the city.
Merlion Park: Home to the Merlion statue, a symbol of Singapore.
ArtScience Museum: Famous for its lotus-shaped design.
🕰️ Opening Hours: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily
💰 Average Cost: HKD 189 (before 4 PM) HKD 213 (after 5 PM)
🗓️ Itinerary: Visit Marina Bay Garden in the morning, then buy tickets for after lunch to enjoy the sunset and night view.

For locals, Tanjong Pagar Railway Station is filled with beautiful and nostalgic memories: endless tracks, the rumbling sound, the coming and going of towns, the green scenery flashing by the train windows, women selling souvenirs, children playing and running... Although the station officially ceased operations in 2011 and 'retired', it has been listed as a national monument and often hosts small-scale sports events, community activities, and even historical exhibitions. Many young people also choose to take their wedding photos here! However, it is important to note that the station is not open to the public all year round. Tip: It is only open to the public on public holidays, so remember to check the opening dates before you go.
📍Address: 30 Keppel Rd, Singapore 089059

It is truly magical and refreshing to see unique Christmas decorations. If only Marina Bay Sands allow a tour inside their snow globe. You can also hang around here and there will be performances during certain hours. To be so close to snow in Singapore is a luxury here.

Marina Bay Sands High Ceiling
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go Christmas party la! This location is at Marina Bay Sands Shoppes area, the expensive shopping center known to tourists. This Christmas decoration at Marina Bay Sands is an elevated experience because all these Christmas trees are going to be floating in the air. With the high ceiling in this shopping mall, the only way is to go up so not only one tree will be hanging, but there will also be several trees hanging up. This is a major decoration event and heavy machinery will be required. Sometimes you take step back and think about it, is all these decorations necessary for an annual festival.

Lots of fans and even the staff was really surprised by our outfits and we took lots of photos outside. Sadly, we couldn’t take any photos during the musical.

Sumptuous Meal at MBS! 😋

Located on the hotel's lobby level, Rise featured an extensive array of international cuisine, ranging from Asian and Western dishes to fresh seafood and delectable desserts. The restaurant's chic and contemporary design offered guests a comfortable and upscale dining atmosphere.
One of the standout features of Rise was its stunning panoramic views of the Marina Bay area, including the iconic Singapore skyline and the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool. Guests could enjoy their meals while taking in this breathtaking vista, especially during the evening when the city lights illuminated the surroundings.
