After that, you can hop on a boat going to Malapascua Island. The boat ride is between 30 minutes and 1 hour long. Attractions - Tourists can dive and see the thresher sharks and other marine life, its small island culture, smaller crowds, and the long stretch of white-sand beaches. You can also visit the neighbouring Island by boat which is Kalanggaman Island. Hotels - There are a lot of hotels in this island from budget friendly to luxury hotels. Food & Restaurants - This is a small island but convenient. If you want to have drinks or even party it's possible. Mostly hotels have their own restaurants so it's no trouble. It was a well-spent, one of a kind weekend in Malapascua Island. As a first timer, I was amazed by its beauty and life that it can offer. Stayed at a budget inn 500 meters away from the dock side, a walking distant beach and various food store. The inn also serves food or you can stroll around for alternatives. Best place to relax: Boracay Island, Long Beach The most famous island with good sea water, beaches, and decent hotels. The coastline is about 7 kilometers long, with 4 kilometers of fine white sand. Sunset sailing and diving are also features. The downside is that transportation is a bit of a hassle, as you have to fly to Kalibo and then take a combination of land, sea, and air transportation (plane, bus, ferry) to get to Boracay. Additionally, there are not many international brand hotels (but it is still the most among all major islands in the Philippines). Highest playability: Bohol Island You can go up the mountains and down to the sea, as well as visit some less interesting cultural attractions. To get there domestically, it's from within China to Manila to Tagbilaran, or fly to Cebu and then take a boat, which is even more troublesome.
