Quanzhou Luoga Temple | The romantic and healing Buddha country on the sea where gods exist on the other shore
Thankful for coming to Quanzhou Luoga Temple💗, it's hard to describe the shock of the Buddha country on the sea in a few words, especially when looking at it from the other shore, the temple and the sea blend together to appear more sacred, grandeur and solemnity coexist, making people naturally settle down, quietly embracing the sea breeze and the Sanskrit sounds, the trip is worthwhile.
Quanzhou Luoga Temple, ticket🎫free
📍: Golden Coast, Shishi City, Quanzhou, Fujian
🚗: About 1h by taxi from Quanzhou city area (fare around 85r-100r), there is also a bus, but it takes about 2h-3h, actually renting a car in Quanzhou is more cost-effective, because each attraction is not too close, the fare is not much different from renting a car and it's more free~ (parking at the temple gate is 10r without time limit)
I know many people come to check in the same style as their current boyfriend~
Remember to bring a telephoto lens for better photos, a drone is even better~
I also want to remind everyone that some shooting positions require standing on the beach rocks, the rocks are covered with moss and are particularly slippery, I saw people slipping, be sure to pay attention to safety! Check the weather early and do a good job of sun protection, the sea breeze is strong, the onion dressing method is appropriate, dark clothes are more photogenic~ That's all

Seaside Temple
The Seaside Temple, also known as the Loga Temple, is located on the Gongyu Island on the east coast of the Golden Coast in Shishi. It is a rare seaside temple built by the sea, allowing you to feel the grandeur of Buddhism and the momentum of the sea. The mountains are hidden in the city, and the temple is hidden in the sea. It is known as the Loga Temple in the Buddhist Kingdom of Heaven and Sea, which is very beautiful.
Try to choose a sunny day to come here. The sea surrounds on all sides, and you enter from the bridge entrance. When you arrive, the tide has receded. If you can encounter it, it is extremely spectacular. The tranquility of the temple is different from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is very comfortable and pleasant.
In the summer at three or four o'clock, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Loga Temple while strolling by the sea. At sunset, there is another beautiful scene. If you like to take pictures, you can come here.
Worldly Eats
There really is a temple on the sea, and it's in Quanzhou!
In Quanzhou, known as "half city of fireworks, half city of immortals", half is temples and half is daily life.
Quanzhou has never lacked temples ⛩️, but this sea temple is so special~
.
It is located on the Gold Coast, facing the Taiwan Strait, surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the waves keep hitting the reefs 🌊.
Only one stone bridge connects this side of the earth, and from the sky, it looks like a floating paradise in the sea~
.
The temple is entirely yellow, and at sunset 🌇, the sunlight shines on the temple.
From afar, it looks like a golden palace~
Can't help but say, Quanzhou people are really good at building temples!
.
Walking in every corner of the temple, you can feel surrounded by the ocean.
On one side is the sea, on the other side is the Pure Land of Buddha 🙏🏻.
Who would have thought that temples and the sea could be combined so charmingly!
.
🏯Luogas Temple
Suggestion to drive 🚗, it takes 1.5 hours from Xiamen.
Admission is free, and there is a parking lot at the entrance.
Next to it is a beach 🏖️, and there are quite a few locals playing here~
.
📷It is not recommended for everyone to stand on the platform to take photos. It is very dangerous to fall onto the rocks and the sea if you lose your balance.❌
The wind is a bit strong, it's better to come on a sunny day ☀️.

Quanzhou Luojia Temple: I was shocked by this sea temple.
Quanzhou's only temple on a floating island
- Luojia Temple
Built on a reef in the sea, surrounded by the sea, connected by a bridge at high tide
At low tide, it stands on the reef, as if no matter what happens, the temple will stand firm
It's spectacular, really beautiful!

🌟 The left side of the steps (P3, P6)
🌟 Sitting on the rock wall of the temple with the temple as the background (P7)
🌟 At low tide, stand on the reef with the whole temple building as the background, the picture is spectacular (P5, P8)

-
🎠 Travel tips:
🏯 Li Xian came to Luojia Temple to check in, and the temple became popular again, so it is recommended to go in the morning when there are relatively few people, and the light is good in the afternoon
🏯 Check the tide time in advance, if the tide is high, there is no way to take pictures on the reef
🏯 Check the weather forecast in advance, try to choose a sunny day to go, the photos will be better
🏯 It is recommended to choose comfortable and non-slip shoes, the reef is slippery, pay attention to safety

Quanzhou | I visited Quanzhou twice and only took 9 photos.
| I visited Quanzhou twice and only took 9 photos. I visited Quanzhou twice this year, but unfortunately, both times I encountered a typhoon, and the sky was always overcast. Fortunately, the red walls and orange tiles of old Quanzhou are warm colors even without sunlight.
-
1️⃣ The red wall of Kaiyuan Temple. I saw many travel photographers standing in front of the red wall to take close-up shots. Actually, if you take a step back and include the roof of Kaiyuan Temple with its Minnan architectural style, it will look even better.
2️⃣ The Song Dynasty Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple. This is a medium telephoto aerial shot.
3️⃣ The rooftop of West Street. Many cafes or restaurants along the street have rooftops or window views facing Kaiyuan Temple, where you can overlook the bustling crowds and gaze at the twin pagodas.
4️⃣ The rooftop of Rezen Hotel.
5️⃣ Aerial view of Zhongshan Middle Road. I really like this arcade pedestrian street, with the clock tower in the distance.
6️⃣ Aerial view of Chaotianmen. The orange rooftops of old Quanzhou are truly beautiful!
The above 6 places are all in the old city of Quanzhou, and you can explore them on foot or by riding a shared bike.
-
7️⃣&8️⃣ Luojia Temple built on the sea. Before the typhoon arrived, the white waves crashed against the temple's embankment, creating a stunning aerial view! The location for photo 7 is on the rocks next to the Guanyin statue on the west side. Be sure to check the tide times in advance, as the rising tide may cause waves to hit the rocks.
9️⃣ Wulin Traditional Village. In addition to traditional Minnan architecture, Western-style buildings also make great photos.
-
What I like most about Quanzhou is that West Street and Zhongshan Road Arcade Street intersect at the clock tower. The two different styles converge here without any sense of incongruity, adding to the charm of the ancient city. Perhaps this is the unique charm of Quanzhou as the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and a place where Eastern and Western cultures blend.

Quanzhou Luojiashi Photo Guide
📸Here's a comprehensive photo guide for Quanzhou Luojiashi to help you take great photos! 💖
📍Location: No. 943, Golden Coast, Yongning Town, Shishi City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province
🎫Ticket: Free 🆓🤑
🚌Transportation: It takes about 1 hour to get there by taxi from downtown Quanzhou. You can also drive there. There is a parking lot at the entrance, and the parking fee is about CNY 10.
💡Best time to take photos:
The best time is from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The light is soft during this period, the sea is bluer, and if you are lucky enough to encounter a high tide, you can take a beautiful picture of the temple floating on the sea. Of course, Luojiashi has different scenery at different times. The tranquility in the morning and the afterglow in the evening have their own characteristics.
📸Photo spots:
1. "Wind" and "Rain" archway: The arch bridge at the entrance and the side doors on both sides, with "Wind" and "Rain" written on them, are the same spots as Li Xian! The implication is very good, and you can take great photos no matter how you shoot.
2. Near the Guanyin stone statue: There is a Guanyin stone statue opposite Luojiashi. Standing on the reef under the Guanyin stone statue, you can take photos with Luojiashi in the same frame. This is the best photo spot. You can also use the characters to blur the foreground and take photos with Guanyin in the same frame, which has a sense of sacred beauty.
3. Along the bell tower: Standing along the bell tower, you can take pictures of the sea and the corner of the building, which is a very magnificent picture, and you can take great photos casually.
4. Reef area: After the tide recedes, you can stand on the reef, with the temple building or the vast sea as the background, which is very photogenic. However, pay attention to the tide time, do not stay on the reef for too long during high tide, and pay attention to safety.
5. Temple scenery: The buildings in the temple are also very beautiful. You can take some close-ups, such as the corner of the building, the "Buddha" on the wall, the twelve zodiac stone carvings, etc., which can reflect the cultural heritage and artistic atmosphere of the temple.
6. Distant view: Standing on the beach of the Golden Coast, with the temple, beach, and waves as the background, it is super beautiful and very photogenic! You can also use the reefs of Gongyu Island as the foreground to take more layered photos.
👗Dress suggestions:
It is recommended to wear simple and solid color clothes. Brightly colored clothes such as white and red will be more outstanding against the blue sea and yellow temple buildings. You can also choose new Chinese-style clothing, which is more in line with the atmosphere of the temple.
⚠️Precautions:
The temple is a religious place. Please respect local religious customs, keep quiet, and do not make loud noises. The wind is relatively strong by the sea, so pay attention to sun protection and wind protection measures.
Come to Quanzhou Luojiashi, feel the unique charm of this sea temple, and take your own life photos! 💕

"Logar Temple: A Buddhist Kingdom by the Sea"
"Logar Temple: A Poetic Legend on the Sea"
At the place where the sea meets the sky, there is a dreamlike existence - Logar Temple.
When the sea breeze gently brushes your face, it feels like a gentle touch from nature, bringing the breath of the ocean, intoxicating. The waves are surging, hitting the coast, and the ripples are like a magnificent symphony played by the sea. Looking far away, the sea is boundless, blending with the horizon, making it difficult to tell where the end of the sea is and where the sky begins.
In this picturesque scenery, Logar Temple is like a bright pearl. It stands quietly on the sea, like a wise man, watching this vast ocean. This is a temple built by the sea, full of unique charm.
Walking along the beach, accompanied by the sea breeze, you can feel the gift of nature while walking and stopping. Look at the ebb and flow, like the ups and downs of life, sometimes surging, sometimes quiet. When the sea rises, the surging waves bring endless power and hit the coast; when the tide recedes, it leaves a quiet beach, as if telling the story of the years.
"Temples are built on the sea, and the sea is seen in the temple." Logar Temple perfectly integrates the Buddhist kingdom with the world. On the one hand, it is a solemn and sacred Buddhist world, with curling incense, melodious bells, and the compassionate face of the Buddha statue that calms the mind; on the other hand, it is a world full of fireworks, the sound of the sea, the cry of seabirds, and the laughter of people. Interweave together to form a vivid picture of life.
In Logar Temple, you can find a quiet corner, quietly listen to the sound of the waves, feel the sea breeze, and let your thoughts float freely in this vast world. You can also walk into the Buddha Hall, pray devoutly in front of the Buddha statue, and seek inner peace and comfort.
Logar Temple, a temple built on the sea, is not only a religious holy place, but also a place where the soul is baptized. It uses its beauty and tranquility to tell the legendary story of the sea and humans, the Buddhist kingdom and the world.

Not in Jeju Island, but in Quanzhou!! Absolutely beautiful seaside route recommendation
🌊 Quanzhou not only has the bustling West Street, but also the super beautiful Xiangzhi Pier seaside 🏝 I heard about this place before coming to Quanzhou! Golden coastline 🌅 Quanzhou Jeju Island, it's so comfortable to take a romantic walk by the sea~
🏝️ Citywalk coastal route recommendation
🌊 Shishi Xiangzhi Pier - Quanzhou Xiaoweihai - Juruo - Luojia Temple
The first three places are connected, you can walk to them! It's a 20-minute drive to Luojia Temple 🚖 You can stay here for half a day~ It's recommended to come after 3:00 PM 🌞 The sun is very strong~ Be sure to take sun protection
📍 Shishi Xiangzhi Pier, it takes an hour to drive from Quanzhou city, you can also take the high-speed train to Jinjiang Station
✅ Shishi Xiangzhi Pier
A pier with a strong harbor atmosphere, with many boats docked here. There are many seaside cafes here where you can leisurely watch the sea~ It's very romantic
✅ Quanzhou Xiaoweihai
📍 Located at Xiangzhi Pier, uphill, looking down is a super beautiful road leading to the sea, as if you are in a movie
✅ Juruo Lighthouse Cafe
It opened this year ☕️ This place is completely open-air~ It's very big! There are many scenes to shoot, each scene can look towards the sea 🌊 It's really like Jeju Island!! Quanzhou Travel | The panoramic view of Luojia Temple is here
Half city fireworks, half fairyland in Quanzhou~ It's very suitable for a solo city walk to daydream☁️. Not only are there old streets full of fireworks, but also seaside like a fairyland🌊. From a distance, Luojia Temple looks like a Buddhist kingdom on the sea, very much like a scene from a dream.
This is my second visit to Quanzhou~ If you also travel to Quanzhou✈️, I would recommend you to visit Luojia Temple. This temple, built on a beautiful coastal edge, 🌊 is also rated as the most beautiful coastline by National Geographic!
🌊 The first picture was taken at "Shishi Ocean Park," about 1km away from Luojia Temple📷. It's really stunning!! From a distance, Luojia Temple, with the blue sea reflecting the sky🌞, looks like a painting!
📍 Locate "Shishi Ocean Park" where you can park🅿️. After arriving, walk inside and you will see it!
🕑🌊 I went there around sunset🌅 at about 18:00, just in time to capture the golden beach🏖️.
📷 You must stand in the middle for the best shot!! (Picture 6️⃣) Compared to the crowded Luojia Temple, I prefer the quiet and peaceful atmosphere here~🌊 It's worth it.

Just returned from Quanzhou, avoid Luojia Temple
"Temple born from the sea," "See the sea in the temple," "Same style as Li Xian."
These tags made this sea temple quickly go viral.
But is the real scenery really like this? Just returned from Quanzhou, let me share my feelings.
For those planning or preparing to go, you can avoid some pitfalls 💣, consider your itinerary carefully before going.
🏖️Attractions:
The entrance is free, and it takes less than half an hour to tour the temple.
It can be one of the stops on a Quanzhou coastline tour, but if you come here specifically from the city
just to take photos, it's not very cost-effective.
🚌Transportation:
Although you can reach it by bus, it takes a lot of time to get from the city to Luojia Temple.
If you take a taxi, the round trip will cost hundreds of yuan. (If you drive yourself, ignore this)
📸Photography:
There are a lot of people, and you need to queue for the popular photo spots.
To take beautiful landscape photos, it's hard to capture the sea temple feeling without a drone. (Of course, I came here to shoot some aerial footage)
For portrait travel photography, I personally think that any temple in the ancient city has a better atmosphere than here.
📌Tips:
The sea is 360° unobstructed, the ultraviolet rays are very strong, so be well protected 🌞 I was fully armed except for my hands, and they were all tanned when I got back.

Sea and Sky Buddha Kingdom - Luojia Temple | A Marvelous Sea Temple!
| A Marvelous Sea Temple!
In Quanzhou, there is actually a temple floating on the sea!
Under the cloudy sky, this Sea and Sky Buddha Kingdom becomes even more breathtaking!
Strolling through the temple, feel the gentle caress of the sea breeze.
The surging waves continuously crash against the surrounding reefs. From within the temple, gaze at the sea and appreciate the ancient city of Quanzhou, half filled with the smoke of human life and half with the aura of immortals 🏯, deeply experiencing the unique charm of Minnan culture.
Next to this temple, there is also a golden lion coast where you can gaze at this sea Buddha kingdom from the beach.

Listen to advice! Don't go to Luojia Temple
I have to say, the power of celebrity influence is strong. A year ago, those who came to Luojia Temple were all there to worship Buddha, but now taking photos and checking in has become the main theme. Of course, it does make for great photos. Even if it's not the same as Li Xian's, it's still beautiful. On-site, I saw that there were Warring States robes for rent, which really fit the atmosphere. Except for being a bit hot, everything else is fine.
🚉 About transportation: We took a taxi from Wanda, which cost over 70. On the way back, we took an unlicensed taxi, which cost 100 to get back to the city. If you come with friends and split the cost, it's not too expensive.
📝 About taking photos: There are photographers in the temple, and the basic price is 299. I suggest looking at some sample photos first. We brought a photographer from the city, so you need to account for the travel time. If you're not too picky about the photos, hiring one on-site is also a good option.
✅ Key point: The wind by the sea is really, really strong, so make sure to use enough hairspray, or your hair will be out of control.

Luojia Temple in Quanzhou, a temple born on the sea, watching the sea from the temple
A temple born on the sea, watching the sea from the temple
One side is the Buddha's land, the other side is the human world
When you come to Quanzhou, besides visiting the ancient city, you must not miss the beautiful coastline here!
Take a walk by the sea, and you must visit Luojia Temple, a temple built on the sea! Only by visiting here once will you truly understand!
·
📷Photo spot recommendations:
1️⃣ After visiting the temple, it is recommended to go to the rocky beach under the Guanyin statue opposite. Standing on the rocks, you can look out at Luojia Temple in the sea. There are almost no people here, and the rocks are dense and very safe. You can really take a photo of a lifetime!
2️⃣ The bell tower in the temple, you can stand under the bell tower to take a picture of a corner of the building and the sea, the visual effect is very shocking!
3️⃣ When the tide recedes, stand on the rocky beach below the temple, with the temple building in the background, you can take a photo like Li Xian!
4️⃣ There are two archways with the words 'Good Weather' at the entrance of the temple. Stick your head out and take a photo, it has a very good meaning!
.
📍Location: Luojia Temple, Shishi City, Quanzhou
🚗Transportation: About 50 minutes by car from downtown Quanzhou
If you take the bus, you need to go to Shishi City first, then transfer to Shishi Route 5 and get off at Luojia Temple Station, the whole journey takes 2 hours (no admission fee)

Sea and Sky Buddha Kingdom, Luojia Temple!
A temple on the sea, viewing the sea from the temple. It's not Penglai, but better than Penglai!
Luojia Temple, the Bodhimanda of Avalokitesvara, is located on Gongyu Island on the eastern coast of the Minnan Golden Coast in Shishi City. It was completed in 2001 and covers an area of more than 20 acres. It is backed by Baogai Mountain to the northwest and faces the Taiwan Strait to the southeast. Quanzhou's coastline is long, and there are many seaside temples, but Luojia Temple is the only temple standing on an island.
The unique one-island-one-building structure of Luojia Temple attracts many tourists and pilgrims. During high tide, Luojia Temple looks like it is floating on the sea, hence it is called the 'Sea and Sky Buddha Kingdom.'
Within Luojia Temple, there are the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Grand Hall of Universal Salvation, the Chanting Hall, the Sutra Library, the Bell and Drum Tower, and the Five Observations Hall. The entire temple is majestic and magnificent, with carved beams and painted rafters, resplendent and magnificent.
With the sea and sky as its backdrop, Luojia Temple enjoys unique advantages. In your leisure time, why not temporarily leave the hustle and bustle and come to Luojia Temple to watch the tides rise and fall, feel the sea breeze, listen to the Buddhist chants, and steal a half-day of leisure in this fleeting life!
Address: 600 meters southeast of the intersection of Golden Avenue and Binhai West Road, Shishi City
Transportation: Get off at Luojia Temple Station on Shishi Route 5/11, taxi recommended
Hours: Open all day
Average cost: Free
Surroundings: Golden Coast, Shishi Ocean World, Wanshou Tower, Yongning Ancient City
Warm reminder: It is recommended to visit during high tide!

Half of the city is filled with fireworks, the other half is like a fairyland | The 'Spring Sentiments to a Lover' check-in spot
Together with Xian Ge, we head to a place worth visiting in this world ||| Quanzhou, because 'half of the city is filled with fireworks, the other half is like a fairyland', has long been a popular city on the internet.
Luojia Temple, because of Li Xian's 'Spring Sentiments to a Lover', makes one want to rush to a rendezvous between mountains and seas.
In Quanzhou, one must visit this temple born from the sea, Luojia Temple, where you can gaze at the sea from within the temple.
Even though the sky is not clear, it does not affect the beauty of Luojia Temple, with its rocks, beach, sea, and temple, it inevitably instills a sense of awe.
Standing on the embankment, one can smile at the various scenes of life, with light clouds and a gentle breeze.
With favorable weather and a peaceful sea, it's like a Buddhist realm.
I don't know what words to use to describe what I see and feel, but when you stand there, facing the sea, your heart races with longing.

Check in at the same photo spot as Li Xian at Loga Temple
The Loga Temple built on the seaside rocks
has a similar charm to Bali's Tanah Lot Temple
and is known as the 'Buddhist Kingdom on the Sea'.
The yellow main structure set against the sea is very photogenic.
Many people queue up to check in at the popular photo spot.
Personally, I think it's even better when the weather is clear.
The place where Li Xian took photos is on the rocks.
Be very careful of the high tide when you go to take the same photo,
and also pay attention to the slippery ground.
PS: Loga Temple is quite far from the city center, it is recommended to drive there.

I thought Xiamen was already beautiful, until I went to Quanzhou
Bai Yansong's quote 'This is a city you should visit at least once in your lifetime' drove me to take a 10-hour drive to Quanzhou~
-
Quanzhou, 'once known as the Buddha's land, where the whole city is full of saints.'
The overall architecture is very ancient and closely connected to the sea.
There's also the popular mascot of 'Ten Dragons and Nine Offspring' for photo opportunities.
-
Without further ado, let's get straight to the point. Here's my sincere guide to avoid any pitfalls~
