Luohan Temple
Mianyang Luohan Temple|||Mianyang Luohan Temple is located in Shengshui Village, western suburbs of Mianyang, on the southern peak of Tazi Mountain on the right bank of the Fu River. It was founded by the abbot, Master Guoqing, who started from scratch, raised funds on his own, endured hardships, and after more than twenty years of unremitting efforts, the temple was built.
Luohan Temple is grand in scale, with an open terrain and a coordinated layout, showing a majestic atmosphere. The central axis of the temple consists of the Weituo Hall, Heavenly Kings Hall, Seven Buddhas Hall, Three Saints Hall, Guanyin Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, and the Mahavira Hall. On both sides, there are the Ten Thousand Buddhas Holy City, Thousand Buddhas Hall, Luohan Hall, a huge reclining Buddha, Bell and Drum Towers, and the newly completed Lingjiu Mountain, forming a spectacular panorama.
The entrance of the temple has a 260-step stone staircase (also known as: Stairway to Heaven), with lifelike Luohan statues and dragon figures in the middle of the 260 steps; the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Luohan statues in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Holy City within the temple are extremely solemn and exquisite, exuding a sense of benevolence and ease that commands respect; the 1250 Luohan statues in the Luohan Hall have diverse expressions and gestures, vividly portraying the demeanor of compassion and wisdom; the Mahavira Hall, built in the style of the Qing Dynasty and located at the center of the temple, with red eaves and golden tiles, carved beams and painted rafters, is solemn and magnificent, giving an overall sense of a rich and solid historical atmosphere; the 500 nuns inside Lingjiu Mountain have smooth handwork and a serene and wise demeanor; the huge reclining Buddha is peaceful and tranquil, lying there as serene as the moon and as calm as the sea, blessing the passing vehicles with safety; all the Buddha statues here are exquisitely carved and gorgeous, with high ornamental value.
There are also many Buddhist stupas commonly seen in temples in Tibet and Western Sichuan, making it a great place for taking photos and checking in.

A thousand-year-old temple, the most shocking is the Luohan wall at the entrance of the temple, with a magical realism style, walking through it is like traveling through a mythical world.
Majia Alley
The most famous snack street in Mianyang city area, personally I think the most characteristic is Mianyang Dipped Sauce, in addition, there are many colorful snacks, you can stroll and try a little of each.
Weisheng Alley
As a coffee lover, I must visit this small alley full of artistic atmosphere, the street is not long, but there are several coffee shops with unique characteristics, I bought two cups of freshly ground coffee to satisfy my craving, the taste is not bad, very suitable for taking photos and checking in.

The Ultimate Guide to Mianyang City! Just look here and you're set!
Have you guys checked in Mianyang? It's said to be the second largest city in Sichuan, very close to Chengdu, and there are many who drive here from Chengdu.
Today, I'm bringing you the most comprehensive guide to visiting Mianyang city area!
D1: Shengshui Temple—Luohan Temple
Arrive in Mianyang in the morning, it's very convenient to take a taxi from the airport to the city center for just over ten yuan,
Since we're taking the high-speed train to leave later, we chose to stay near the high-speed train station.
After dropping off our luggage, a Didi taxi ride to Shengshui Temple and Luohan Temple costs just over nine yuan,
The two temples are right next to each other, almost sharing a gate!
Shengshui Temple is mainly about the exquisite statues, perfect for photo check-ins! In addition, the Buddha statues in the main hall are also stunning.
Then, you can visit Luohan Temple, which is mainly known for the thousands of Luohan statues and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin statue inside the hall, which are amazing! There's also an outdoor white pagoda and Luohan statues on the walls, known as 'Little Southeast Asia'.
D2:
In the morning, I wanted to go to the museum, but unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance,
So I walked to Yuewang Tower, which takes about twenty minutes to reach.
The ticket for Yuewang Tower is 50 yuan, and you can also buy it online,
The main floors to visit are 9-14, out of a total of 14 floors!
Each open floor has its own theme. Take the elevator to the 14th floor,
Then visit down to the 9th floor, floors 9 and 10 are a bit like a museum and worth a visit!
Additionally, Yuewang Tower can be visited at night, I heard there's a light show or something.
In the afternoon, you can go to Fule Mountain, which is said to be a famous mountain in Mianyang.
All these are conveniently located in the city area.
⚠️ For travel, you can take a bus or Didi, which is very convenient.
The temples do not require an entrance fee, oh
Food): Mianyang rice noodles haha
MAVERICK CRAWFORD
It's not Thailand, Mianyang welcomes everyone to come and check in for a visit

Mianyang | The Severely Underrated Treasure City
Before visiting Mianyang, many people might ask what is there to do in Mianyang? After going there, you'll find there's too much fun to be had, and one day is simply not enough!
🟠 If you only have one day to spend in Mianyang, you'll realize that unless you're a special forces soldier ticking off sights, there really isn't enough time!
🔴 Visiting Mianyang can truly be a leisurely experience, with many attractions to see. It's recommended to visit multiple times!
🟣 It's less than a 2h drive from Chengdu, and this time we're planning to leave in the afternoon.
🟢 First stop: Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County in Mianyang, the hometown of the great Yu. This area is a walking district featuring the characteristic architecture of the Qiang people, with Yuwang Bridge to the west and the Earthquake Memorial Park and Beichuan Cultural Center to the east. It has a distinctive Qiang character, where you can buy Qiang specialties and clothing. During the day, you can climb the highest tower to view the entire Qiang city, and at night, the whole district along the river is lit up with a light show, creating a beautiful nightscape.
🏠 Address: Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, Mianyang City - Shiquan North Street, Beichuan Banacha
🅿️ Parking: It is recommended to navigate to Yuwang Bridge. After driving there, do not cross the bridge when you see it from afar. There is a free parking lot on this side of the bridge where you can park, and then walk across the covered bridge over the river. The scenery is already beautiful from here.
🟡 Second stop: On the second day, head to Luohan Temple and Shengshui Temple, two temples that are close to each other and have different styles. The temples are large, so don't just glance over them, because there's too much to see.
| Luohan Temple has more than 50 scenic spots within, built along the mountain which is not very high, so a slow walk won't be tiring. It's suitable for families to visit. There is a steep stone staircase leading directly to the Luohan Hall, but if you're not up for the climb, you can take the slope next to it. All roads and scenic spots are interconnected, so no matter where you go, you can reach each spot.
| Shengshui Temple starts from the Auspicious Gate. Follow the stone steps slowly, and on both sides, there is a long corridor of Buddha statue sculptures, which is very spectacular. Each Buddha statue is lifelike and exquisitely crafted. Many people come here to take photos.
🥙 About food: Both temples offer vegetarian meals, Luohan Temple at 10r/person, Shengshui Temple at 15r/person. It's recommended to eat at Shengshui Temple, with over 40 dishes, very rich, and free for children. Alternatively, after visiting, you can go to Majia Alley Snack Street for some local snacks. Majia Alley is a street full of snacks, with a wide selection. The recommended 'cold dip' is a must-try.
🚌 About transportation: You can choose to drive yourself, parking is available at the temple entrance for 5r/day. Alternatively, take a high-speed train to Mianyang Station and then take a taxi or bus.
🏠 Address: Navigate to Mianyang Luohan Temple or Shengshui Temple (No. 357, North Section of Changhong Avenue, Fucheng District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province) to get there.

Sanjiang Peninsula
🐦The main reason we came to Mianyang was to see the seagulls. We went in February and didn't see many seagulls~ 🍞There are many vendors selling bread and seagull food by the river~ But the seagulls seem to have had enough and don't show much interest! It's all about luck when visiting here!

▫️
Both temples are right next to each other, ✅and are must-visit spots in Mianyang! There are many snack vendors at the entrance of the temples. There are also some selling incense🔥, but don't buy it outside! Because most places inside the temples do not allow burning incense brought from outside🔥~
▫️
There are hundreds of Buddha statues with different postures inside Shengshui Temple~😱It's amazing to admire the superb craftsmanship of these artisans. 📸The famous Luohan Wall is a must-visit spot in Shengshui Temple!
▫️
Luohan Temple has a completely different style from Shengshui Temple, 🤍with white pagodas standing along the cliff, 🌈and a group of colorful Luohans in the middle of the 260 stone steps~ Truly truly stunning‼️

Sichuan Mianyang | The serene and auspicious White Pagoda and Reclining Buddha at Luohan Temple
🏮 During the Spring Festival period, revisiting Luohan Temple in Mianyang is terrifyingly popular 😱
Luohan Temple stands vertically on the mountain peak, and the stone stairs leading up are a bit tiring 🦵;
1⃣️ Hundreds of lifelike Arhats, in a myriad of postures;
2⃣️ A forest of white stupa, quiet and solemn;
3⃣️ The reclining Buddha Shakyamuni, all in white, with a graceful posture.
Mianyang Luohan Temple is closely connected to Shengshui Temple, located at the southern end of Tazi Mountain on the right bank of the Fujiang River ⛰️. It not only has a superior geographical location, adjacent to the Baocheng Railway 🛤️ and Mianjiang Expressway 🛣️, but also has a long history 🕒 and profound cultural heritage.
1⃣️ Inside the temple, Arhats stand in rows, with hundreds of resplendent Arhat statues 🗿, each with a different form, lifelike, some with eyes closed in contemplation, some holding scriptures, smiling, dignified and sacred.
2⃣️ The most captivating is the forest of white stupas 🎈, walking among them, one feels the inner peace and tranquility. The stupa is one of the important buildings of the temple, carrying the history and culture of the temple, as well as the faith and hope of the believers 📿
3⃣️ And the most anticipated is the white reclining Buddha, lying there quietly, watching people come and go, his face still serene, transcending time and the cycle of life and death, commanding respect 🙏🏻
💚 Travel Tips 💚
👉🏻 The temple does not charge an entrance fee 🆓, free to visit, can be reached by passing through Shengshui Temple 🐾, the temple is gradually being built, with some parts still under renovation.

Coming here gives me a feeling of a small Leiyin Temple. Through the auspicious gate, you can see nearly a hundred statues of different shapes, almost all of which are newly built in recent years. Seeing it already feels solemn and shocking!! It's a shock that can't be captured by a mobile phone! The air and scenery along the mountain are very good for climbing, hiking, burning incense, and eating vegetarian meals... By the way, the incense here is also prosperous.
The road down from Shenshui Temple leads to Luohan Temple. After climbing 260 steps, you can see a completely different scenery from Shenshui Temple~ The tall white stupa, the photo is super out of the picture. There are 800 golden-bodied arhats in the indoor Arhat Hall, and as you walk, you will be surprised to find a golden Buddha statue! It's too shocking! You can overlook the panoramic view of Mianyang from the top, and the view is super good.

It's really not Thailand, this is the Arhat Temple in Mianyang
It's not in Thailand
It's in Mianyang, around Chengdu!
The characteristic of the Arhat Temple is that it is big, very big, extremely big. Whether outdoors or indoors, there are countless Buddha statues and various Buddha halls. The Arhat Hall, the Kingdom of Ten Thousand Buddhas is full of dozens of three-story high golden Buddhas, and the indoor Arhat Hall has eight hundred golden body Arhats. In the outdoor area, the Buddha statue group being built opposite the white tower is also extremely spectacular. You can't count them all. When you walk a long line, turn a corner, and you will find that there are endless golden body Buddha statues, which is shocking.
In addition, there are hundreds of white stupa Buddha relics, which are very famous. Many people will say it's like being in Thailand, but our Tibetan Buddhism also has a large number of white pagodas, although the shapes are slightly different.

Travel suggestions:
1. Don't drive by yourself, you have to go back and drive, it's too inconvenient, and there are stairs that are extremely tiring. Take a taxi directly to the west gate of the Arhat Temple (search for the temporary parking lot of the Arhat Temple). In this way, you don't have to go back, you don't have to climb stairs (if you enter from the main entrance, you need to walk many stairs to get up), it's like going directly from the back door to the front door, and then leave by taxi from the front door.
2. Shengshui Temple and Arhat Temple are two adjacent temples, you can play together, reserve one to two hours is basically enough.
