Los Angeles County Museum of Art: Urban Light Attraction
The most famous spot at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the Urban Light installation at the entrance. This artwork, created by artist Chris Burden, consists of functional street lamps and embodies the essence of Los Angeles street culture. With twenty to thirty street lamps of varying heights, ranging from six to nine meters, it also served as a filming location for the movie 'No Strings Attached.' Urban Light symbolizes the changing cityscape of Los Angeles and is one of the most iconic attractions in the downtown area.
The Urban Light installation in front of LACMA's entrance plaza features a total of 202 street lamps. These lamps were collected from various locations in Southern California during the 1920s and 1930s by an avid collector. To highlight the uniqueness of each lamp, designer Chris Burden painted all 202 lamps in the same iron-gray color. Now powered by solar energy, Urban Light illuminates the entire plaza at night. Lastly, it must be mentioned again that LACMA's famous Urban Light is truly amazing; walking through it feels like being in a dreamlike movie scene.

Where the Light Shines at LACMA 💡
The Urban Light Sculpture is an iconic (and free) installation located at the entrance of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
Stepping into the courtyard, I was greeted by a symphony of vintage street lamps standing tall against the night sky. Created by artist Chris Burden, 202 vintage street lamps were sourced from various locations around Southern California to create this installation. Despite the lampposts ranging in style and design from different eras, their arrangement in a grid formation created a visually striking and symmetrical display.
Each lamp seemed to whisper stories of the past, evoking nostalgia and wonder. Walking amidst them felt like strolling through a forest of illuminated memories, each lamp casting intricate shadows and patterns on the ground. The meticulous arrangement of the lamps created a mesmerizing visual spectacle.
I found the Urban Light sculpture to be a vibrant experience, offering a unique blend of art, history, and urban charm.

As an avid photographer, I'm drawn to Hong Kong for its vibrant and varying sceneries and cit scapes. I'm eager to capture the city's dynamic skyline, bustling street markets, and picturesque landscapes, including Victoria Harbour, Tian Tan Buddha and the neighbourhood of Mong Kok.

The day closest to being a literary youth
I came to Los Angeles in the beautiful spring on a comfortable weather. I walked on the streets here and faced the comfortable wind. People who were not educated became educated. I went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and took pictures at the exhibitions. It was so leisurely. So pleasant!

The County Museum of Art has a variety of works from pre-Columbian times to the present day. It also has a famous photo spot, so it's worth a visit even if you're not interested in art.

✨"Urban Light"✨
When looking for tourist attractions in LA, this is also one of the tourist attractions that comes to the top.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
In front of this museum, these famous streetlights are installed, and I think it might be the hottest photo shoot location.
The name of this light work(?) is Urban Light. It literally means city light, and it's really beautiful to just stare blankly at as the sun begins to set. A jazz band happened to be performing right in front of me, so I quickly took a few pictures and just sat on a bench and listened to music for a few dozen minutes while looking at the lights.
I haven't been to this famous museum, but I heard that they hold many interesting exhibitions.
If you go to see Urban Lights later, I recommend that you also visit the museum.

Los Angeles MOCA, a must-go for contemporary youth wear.
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles is one of the important collection institutions of post-war contemporary art in the United States.
MOCA, a contemporary art palace shining in Los Angeles.
It is like a fantasy island of art, which has gathered the dazzling stars of contemporary art over the years. From abstract paintings to avant-garde sculptures, from shocking new media art to thought-provoking installations, the collection here is like a maze of art treasures. Each exhibit is the cry of the artist's soul and a unique interpretation of the times, society and human nature.
Unique exhibition halls, the exquisite atmosphere of MOCA Grand Avenue, the spacious The Geffen Contemporary, or the design-filled MOCA Pacific Design Center, are art stages of different styles.

A variety of interesting exhibitions featuring modern and contemporary art. Saw many modern masterpieces by well-known artists. It was interesting to see the pieces that are tied to Los Angeles history as well. I found the Textiles and Woven Art exhibition on the second floor very well-curated - had a lot of fun seeing it!
Not too busy and easy to navigate. Unfortunately only got to see one of the buildings because of the time I had but would love to visit again for a more in depth experience!.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art 🍃✨
This gallery is definitely worth a visit, offering a captivating experience. It is a world class art museum with a vast and diverse collection of objects from around the globe so there is something for everyone.
The museum is located in a beautiful setting and the architecture is stunning. It is a great place to spend a day with friends or family. However, I would highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance and carefully selecting the exhibition you wish to explore.
There are also some other museums in the surroundings. I wish the museum shop had more things, the offering was limited compared to other big museums. 🤔

📍LACMA

LACMA is a must-visit art museum in LA🏛️ ㅎ I always go there once every time I go to LA!
First of all, LACMA's symbol, urban light, is installed at the entrance ㅎ
You can take a great photo here!!🤍
The admission fee is more expensive than art museums in Korea, but considering the number of items you can see, it's reasonable! There are many famous contemporary artists such as Richard Serra, Dan Flavin, and Barbara Kruger..♥️
When I went, a special exhibition was being prepared, but these days, a special exhibition of Korean art is in progress, so it would be more meaningful to visit. ㅎ
✔️ Entrance ticket: $25 for adults
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
