Now, wait for a sunset above the clouds on the mountain top. Drive up the mountain road, which is in good condition, and turn to the top of the mountain, as if you are above the clouds. There are several small shops for tea and food. Chengdu Longcanggou Travel Guide 1. A great place to escape the city After two weeks of work, I'm exhausted. It's time to immerse myself in nature. I heard that the colorful forests in the mountains around Chengdu are starting to show. I've been to Mount Qingcheng and Longquan Mountain many times, so I suddenly remembered Longcanggou, which I visited a few years ago. The tickets are cheap, and it's not far from Chengdu. It takes just over two hours to get there from Chengdu. I arrived early, and maybe it hasn't become popular yet, so there weren't many tourists. (I edited the photos! It's not that yellow in reality.) The red leaves in Longcanggou are only 20% red. Occasionally, a few red leaves appear in the dark green forest, which is a unique beauty. I guess when the temperature drops and it rains a few times, the red leaves will turn red in large patches. 2. Travel route and precautions The mountain path is not difficult to walk. Follow the steps, and you can hear the sound of waterfalls and mountain springs along the way. Walking for a few hours is not too tiring, and it calms the mind, which is very healing. It's more primitive than Mount Qingcheng. It's strange why it hasn't become popular. The elderly and children with nimble legs can walk, but there is a lot of moss on the road, so be careful not to slip! Wear non-slip shoes suitable for hiking. The temperature on the mountain is low, so wear warm clothes. There are sightseeing buses in the scenic area, and you can take one for CNY 20 if you can't walk. Allow 4–5 hours for the round trip. Don't go up the mountain too late. There is little food on the mountain, so bring your own water and snacks. 3. About the itinerary: Day 1: Diecui Stream tour guide: You can take a shuttle bus to the top of the mountain at the entrance of the scenic area and visit from top to bottom. The hike is easy, about 6 km. The hiking route is a forest boardwalk with many steps, so bring trekking poles and wear non-slip shoes. There are streams and waterfalls along the way. The forest is golden at this time of year, making it perfect for fall foliage viewing. Day 2: Tiansheng Bridge tour guide: You need to take a 45-minute bus ride to the hiking starting point, and there are only two buses a day at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. 🧭For navigation by self-driving car, enter "Longcanggou National Forest Park Parking Lot". The road conditions are very good all the way, and there are only 3-4 sharp and steep turns on the road up the mountain. There are two separate scenic areas here, one is Tianshengqiao, and the other is Diecui Stream. It is recommended to visit both scenic areas in one go, as long as you arrive at the scenic area before 11 am, there is no problem to finish both in one day (except when there is a long queue for the shuttle bus during peak season). 🙀Surprisingly, there were very few tourists coming here during this year's Spring Festival. Reference for this trip (total time spent 5.5 hours): Take the shuttle bus from the visitor center to Tianshengqiao ➡️ After getting off, walk and visit Tianshengqiao ➡️ After finishing, take the shuttle bus back to the visitor center ➡️ Then take the sightseeing bus to Diecui Stream ➡️ Walk down the mountain and visit Diecui Stream back to the visitor center. Ps: There is an even better plan that can save some time and the fare for the sightseeing bus to Diecui Stream. That is, after visiting Tianshengqiao, ask the shuttle bus driver to stop at the "Yuhua Waterfall" station on the way down the mountain, get off there, and enter directly from the interior of Diecui Stream, then walk down the mountain for about 1 hour back to the visitor center. Tianshengqiao: A circular walking scenic area, which feels more suitable for winter, especially when it snows or after snowing, the ice waterfalls inside are indeed worth checking in.
