Incredible Liuhe pagoda
Location: Liuhe Pagoda, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China
Entrance fee: 30¥
Date: October 2, 2021
Liuhe pagoda is one of the most important places at the West lake. It is an amazing place surrounded with nature and Qiantang river.
It's a 7-storey pagoda and it's absolutely empty inside. Each floor of the pagoda consists of four elements: the exterior walls, a zigzagged corridor, the interior walls and a small chamber.
Even though it’s a little difficult and tiring to go up those narrow stairs, but if you love nature, then you definitely need to go there. Every floor features a viewpoint, where you can enjoy the incredible scenery of nature and river. You can admire the view with 360 degrees. The architecture and surrounding area are really impressive.

Six Harmonies Pagoda
Six Harmonies Pagoda has 13 stories, standing an impressive 60 meters (197 feet) tall, with beautiful paintings and patterns on the walls of each story. Standing beside Qiantang River, it was built to suppress the evil which was thought to cause the river’s tidal bore — the world’s largest tidal wave. #urbanexplorer

Don't let the hustle and bustle of life cover up the romance of life.
Hangzhou's most beautiful window view must be Liuhe Tower!
100% greenery, every window is full of greenery, the soapberry trees have recently turned red, and the window view is more layered.
Come here on a cloudy day, there is a different feeling, quiet and peaceful, only the rustling sound of the leaves and the wind can be heard, the distant bell rings, as if returning to a hundred years ago

Compared to Leifeng Pagoda, I prefer the thousand-year-old Liuhe Pagoda
Liuhe Pagoda is one of the famous attractions in Hangzhou. Here is a travel guide for Liuhe Pagoda:
1. Introduction: Liuhe Pagoda is located at No. 16 Zhijiang Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou. It is one of the three evaluated West Lake Ten Views and one of the best-preserved ancient brick-wood structures in China. Binjiang Zhi Jiang Greenway➡926 Craftsman Park➡Qiantang River Bridge➡Bridge Exhibition Hall➡Liuhe Pagoda Cultural Park➡Baita Park
1⃣Binjiang Zhi Jiang Greenway
The cherry blossoms on the cherry blossom track are gone now, probably because they fell due to the rain 😢, but there are large patches of pink flowers 🌸 outside the Zhi Jiang Garden community, perfect for taking photos 📷
2⃣926 Craftsman Park
📍Intersection of Qiantang River Bridge and Wentao Road in Binjiang District
You can camp ⛺️ in this densely vegetated park 🌲
‼️The entrance to the bridge is behind the park, up the stone steps
3⃣Qiantang River Bridge
China's first self-designed and constructed dual-purpose bridge for both rail and road 🌉
Climb the bridge to watch the rushing river waters 🌊 and feel the history 📜
It's windy on the bridge, so wear a jacket with a hood to prevent catching a cold
The pedestrian and bicycle lanes are quite crowded, watch out for vehicles coming from behind
4⃣Bridge Exhibition Hall Free
Located on the bridge, on the left side towards the end of the bridge
Opening hours: 9 am - 4:30 pm
The museum houses a large number of photos and objects, allowing you to learn about the bridge's construction history
5⃣Liuhe Pagoda Cultural Park Admission 20r, climbing the tower 10r
Opening hours: 7 am - 5:30 pm
The pagoda referred to in 'The king covers the earth tiger, the pagoda suppresses the river demon' is the Liuhe Pagoda, a thousand-year-old pagoda. Pagodas from the same period are no longer open for climbing, so climb it while you can, and from the top, you can watch the tides 💯
6⃣Baita Park Free
(🚂30r, free for children under one meter)
Opening hours: All day
It's the endpoint of the cultural heritage of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou and also the starting station of Hangzhou's first railway a century ago. In addition to the historically protected Baita, the park also retains an old-fashioned steam green-skin train 🚂, but the cherry blossoms 🌸 have already fallen ‼️
Tips📌:
【About the bridge entrance】
❌Do not walk to the end of the bridge and then decide to cross the road; you'll have to walk back to cross
✅Walk along the riverside path to a point not far from the Qiantang River Bridge (Yake Center) and cross at the zebra crossing; you can't cross if you go any further ‼️
✅After crossing, walk a little further to reach 926 Craftsman Park, have a quick look around, and then take the stone steps behind to go up the bridge
✅After exiting the Bridge Exhibition Hall, continue walking forward to reach Liuhe Pagoda
✅After completing the entire route, walk to the nearest subway station (Shuicheng Bridge)

Sharing places to enjoy peonies in Hangzhou in April~
The peonies in front of the courtyard lack charm, and the lotuses on the pond are less pure.
Only the peony is the true color of the nation, captivating the capital when it blooms.
-
When the peonies bloom in April, seeing the real peonies made me finally understand why they are called the 'peony of wealth and honor' haha, they are truly beautiful.
For those like me who want to enjoy the flowers but don't have time to go to Luoyang, here are a few places in Hangzhou where you can see peonies~😉
📍Huagang Guanyu - Peony Garden, Huagang Guanyu is really an underestimated park by the West Lake, and one of the spots is called the Peony Garden, which has a whole area of peony flower beds.
📍Liuhe Pagoda - Peony Exhibition, Liuhe Pagoda holds a peony exhibition every year, with a relatively wide variety of peonies, including potted and ground-planted ones.
Exhibition time: 3.29~4.15

You don't need to climb mountains to see the Qiantang River in Hangzhou at a glance
In Hangzhou, without the trouble of climbing mountains,
there is a 13-story pagoda by the Qiantang River,
where you can overlook the Qiantang River from the top floor,
and even the Qiantang River Bridge is in full view,
because it's quite niche, many locals haven't climbed it either,
take the chance now that the tower is open, and go check it out on a weekend✌🏻

📖Tips:
1. Liuhe Pagoda has a history of about 1000 years, the interior walls have been repaired many times, if you look carefully you can see the traces of multiple layers of repairs, the stairs inside the pagoda are uneven in height and size, be careful when going up and down the stairs, and keep to the right.
2. It is not recommended for friends with mobility issues to visit, because the interior stairs and steps are quite old, the handrails on the side are also very small, and it is not particularly convenient to go up and down the stairs, especially not elderly-friendly.
3. Although Liuhe Pagoda appears to be 13 stories from the outside, there are actually only 7 floors open to the public, with 6 floors being secret chambers, generally not open to the public, built alternately with light and dark...
4. You can also take a look at the ruins of Kaihua Temple built in the same period, although only some bricks from that time have been excavated.
5. Liuhe Pagoda has a significant status in architectural history, interested friends may want to learn about it before visiting.
6. Nearby there is also the Wushan Ming Art Museum which you can visit together, about 50 meters away from Liuhe Pagoda.
7. Be careful not to carry drones! Do not carry flammable items upstairs, there will be a security check on the first floor of Liuhe Pagoda.

Liuhe Pagoda
Location: Liuhe Pagoda Cultural Park
Cost: Park card ¥30 (includes free access to all parks within a year), separate ticket required to climb the pagoda ¥10
The evening scenery is really great, but the premise is that the weather is good, you must go when the weather is good. The main activity is climbing the pagoda to enjoy the view, and it's also great for taking photos, hehe. There are a total of 7 floors, and it should take about 40 minutes to climb up, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. The best part is that there aren't too many people, so the experience will be very good.

Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond|The golden light through the hole was captured, it's indeed a royal garden|||
|The golden light through the hole was captured, it's indeed a royal garden|||. West Lake is very large, and you need to relax and not get too tired in a day. The scenery should be unique and not repetitive. Today, I will simply share yesterday's walking route, mainly focusing on the south line of West Lake🚶Other places will be visited next time along a different route, it's a trip with the elders! Everyone, save it‼️West Lake is really breathtakingly beautiful‼️
📍🚶Route: Liuhe Tower——Hupao Road (Hupao Park depending on physical strength)——Manjuelong (lunch)——Taiziwan Park——Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond——Sudi——Jingci Temple
❓Which is better, Liuhe Tower or Leifeng Tower
1⃣️One is by West Lake and the other is on Zhijiang Road. Liuhe Tower has fewer people, a wider view, and you can see the Qiantang River Bridge. Its historical and cultural heritage is not inferior to Leifeng Tower. Leifeng Tower has many people and is more famous.
2⃣️I personally suggest that you can climb to the top of Liuhe Tower, and then see the full view of Leifeng Tower at Jingci Temple. The view of Leifeng Tower from the main hall is very beautiful.
✅Liuhe Tower: 📍Liuhe Tower Cultural Park, Bus stop: Liuhe Tower
🎫You can enter with a park card or a 20 yuan ticket, and you need to pay an additional 10 yuan to climb to the top.
✅Hupao Road: There are many buses here, and all the routes are scenic spots. There are Hupao Park and Zoo along Hupao Road.
✅Manjuelong: Bus stop: Siyanjing. The food and tea here are really great. My parents strolled around the village and they couldn't stop praising it. After eating, you can have some tea and bask in the sun.
✅Taiziwan Park: Just walk over and you'll arrive. The lawn is currently being repaired, but the maple leaves and reflections on the water are still beautiful.
✅Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond: It's next to Taiziwan Park. For details, see the guide on my homepage. I didn't expect that the Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond in this season is really beautiful to tears. You can start taking pictures of the beautiful scenery of the golden light coming out of the hole around 4 pm.
‼️Golden light coming out of the hole, popular photo spot: Closest to the south gate, go in and it's near Sudi.
✅Jingci Temple: Exit from the east gate of Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond and you'll be at Sudi, then walk to Jingci Temple. The entrance fee is 10 yuan, and you can enter for free with a temple card. The main hall is currently being repaired, but it doesn't affect worship. Climb to the highest level of the main hall, take a photo from the side of the Bodhisattva, and you can capture the popular photo spot of Leifeng Tower, which is stunning again!
🚌Transportation: It is not recommended to drive, especially on weekends. Parking is expensive, there are many cars and traffic jams, so public transportation or cycling is the best.
👉Dining: You can eat at Manjuelong on this route, and you can also have tea. It's really comfortable, and the boss lady is beautiful and kind.
