Walking in the richest city in Switzerland - Zurich.
The largest city - "Zurich" is only the last day in Switzerland.
When I was a child, I learned "geography class". I only heard the translated name and determined that this is the most profitable place in the world, and it is rich in oil. Indeed, this is the richest city in Switzerland, one of the richest cities in Europe, and is known as the most livable city in the world.
Today, the car arrived in Zurich city earlier, and slowly walked through the maze-like sheep intestines to the so-called "green lung" Lindenhof Mountain Park ❶❾⓳. Here you can overlook the city's scenery: Zurich is divided into east and west banks by the Limmat River (pictured above), and is also divided into new and old cities. The old city is on the north bank of the river. There are medieval old streets, spires, castles, sculptures and fountains in the city. ❺❻⓭⓴.
The development of European cities generally starts with churches. Zurich has three famous churches. The Cathedral of Our Lady, St. Peter's Cathedral, and Zurich Cathedral are all on both sides of the Limmat River. The high green spire of the Cathedral of Our Lady is one of the most common signs in Zurich's landscape painting ❷. Its high green spire is very eye-catching. From the river, from the alley, from the road or the hillside, you can always see it. figure.
Zurich is the richest city in Europe, with more than 120 banks ❿⓱, more than half of which are foreign banks, gathering top wealthy businessmen from all over the world who invest in finance and banks, and enjoy the title of "European billionaire city".
Banhofer Street is considered the richest street in the world. The funds mobilized from here each year exceed 20% of the world's funds. Banks are concentrated on this street, open 24 hours a day, and it is said that there are important features of these banks in Zurich, such as "anonymous storage boxes that only recognize keys and not people", spacious and magnificent customer reception rooms, and keys plus passwords. The way of receiving, and the "life-saving VIP exclusive channel".
I have no money to deposit, and I have no intention or dare to enter those banks to take pictures. Just a person walking aimlessly along this richest street ❹, subconsciously probably want to touch some "wealth". When I was tired, I sat on the bench under the big tree on the street, observed and felt the unique charm of this "most expensive shopping street"-luxurious shops, charming window displays ❸, and slowly wandering crowds, as if in a dream The leisurely scene ⓬⓯⓰⓱.
In this richest city in Europe, private cars are not congested to paralyze the city, and public transportation plus walking is more mainstream. Perhaps, the rich here do not need or do not use luxury cars to show their status, or perhaps because public transportation is too convenient ❹❽.
Walking to the lakeside of Zurich, looking at the lake and mountains of the blue waves ❼ (pictured below), it is fascinating. There are many coffee shops here, beautiful women wandering in the wind ⓲ (pictured below), lovers hugging each other intimately, children laughing and laughing, and many white swans playing on the lake ⓮ (pictured below), like a moving oil painting.
These scenes are a microcosm of this "rich area", but I suddenly thought of that sentence: all the places you yearn for should be under your feet, not in your heart.
For me: to embrace strange scenery, to meet unknown surprises, to touch the free wind, it is enough to be beautiful on the road.

Exploring Zurich's Enchanting Cityscape
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #switzerland #zurich #Linderhof
During our brief stroll through Zurich city centre, our main goal was to visit Lindenhof, a notable filming location from the famous Korean drama Crash Landing on You.
The cityscape of Zurich is truly enchanting, with its blend of old-world charm and modern elegance. As we wandered through the streets, we were captivated by the stunning architecture of the city’s iconic churches, such as the Grossmünster and Fraumünster, their spires standing tall against the skyline.
The Limmat River, flowing through the heart of the city, is spanned by beautifully crafted bridges like the Rathausbrücke, offering picturesque views of both the old town and the contemporary city beyond. It was a perfect blend of history and beauty.

Crash Landing on You Filming Location 🪂
Address: Lindenhof, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland
Lindenhof is a popular touristy spot in Zurich and can get crowded at times; it is because it is a small hill that overlooks the city centre and the Limmat River 😍
(do hop on the swing if you wanna feel like 6 again 😂😂)
We got the Swiss pass (because we were travelling between cities in Swiss) and all tram & train rides are inclusive so we just hopped on them when we felt tired but Zurich is honestly quite a small old town, you can walk everywhere!!

Visited Zurich in search of popular drama scenes from "Crash Landing on You"
Visited the century old gift shop Schweizer Heimatwerk at the Uranianstrasse is a great store with a large variety of Swiss handicrafts. I have gotten myself a card version of the swiss army knife from Victorinox here.
Lindenhof provides a good view of the river, buildings and a good scenic view. Recommend to drop by along the way while strolling around in Zurich.

It takes 10-15 minutes to walk from Zurich Central Station to Lindenhof Mountain Park. You can sit on the bench and enjoy the air. If you continue walking up Lindenhof Mountain, you will reach Port Augustin and you will see the bell tower of St. Peter's Basilica. Walk forward to the square and see the green roof of Zurich's Frauenkirche Cathedral. There are also different coffee shops in the square where you can sit down and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is a bridge next to it, which is the Cathedral Bridge. "Crash Landing on You" was also filmed on the bridge. Across the bridge is Zurich Cathedral.
After visiting these attractions, you can go shopping on Bahnhofstrasse, where all the famous shops and watches are found.
The city of Zurich is relatively safe, and it is very comfortable to walk around by yourself. You are not afraid to take the tram back to the hotel by yourself at night.
