A tower with an angle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa
#europeanarchitecture #100waysoftravel
The Leaning Tower of Pisa, also known as Tower of Pisa, leans an approximate four degrees of angle. It is part of the building in the Cathedral Square including the Cathedral and Pisa Baptistry. It has a height of 55.86 meters on the low side and 56.67 meters on the higher side. One very interesting fact of the tower is that Galileo once dropped rwo cannonballs of different masses from the top of the tower to demonstrate the scientific law of the free fall. This tower is more than 800 years old upon the starting of constructions in 1172. Interestingly as well, everybody will do a both hands leaning post to demonstrate the holding of the leaning tower.

Leaning Tower of Pisa | Everyone passing by gives it a push!
The Leaning Tower of Pisa, located near Florence, is about an hour away by regional train to Pisa Central, with 2-3 trains available every hour, allowing for a very flexible schedule. When visiting Florence, the old town, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and several hill towns in Tuscany are must-see attractions.
The world-famous tower was originally the bell tower of Pisa Cathedral. The tilt was noticed when it reached the third floor, and efforts to correct it began, continuing for hundreds of years, even involving the Italian government.
A super funny scene is everyone occupying their own angle around the tower, posing in various ways, pushing, propping, hugging. Never have photos been so tiring to take📷, three people spent an hour🤣, it's also an experience❤️

Pisa!
I am sharing with everyone my favorite travel thus far. I really did not expect it to be so wonderful and full of adventure. seeing the leaning Tower of Pisa makes me wonder where I have been hiding all my life. I have only seen the leaning tower in books so seeing it in person is so surreal. Thank you Daddy God for allowing me to see this wonder. I am ever grateful and ever mindful of everything. #pisa #leaningtowerofpisa #italy #passportready

Leaning tower of Pisa: the bell tower
The Pisa tower is one of the four buildings that make up the cathedral complex in Pisa, Italy, called Campo dei Miracoli or Piazza dei Miracoli, which means Field of Miracles. 🌟
It was a miracle of medieval engineering, probably the tallest bell towers in Europe. With 207 columns ranged around eight stories, Tower of Pisa looks like a massive wedding cake knocked precariously askew by a clumsy giant guest.
The construction of Tower of Pisa began in August 1173 and continued for about 200 years due to the onset of a series of wars. Till today, the name of the architect is a mystery.
The Tower of Pisa is constructed of white marble. It has eight stories, including the chamber for the bells. There is a 297 step spiral staircase inside the tower leading to the top. The top of the leaning tower of Pisa is about 17 feet off the vertical.
The tower is also slightly curved from the attempts by various architects to keep it from leaning more or falling over.
IT IS A MUST TO VISIT IN ITALY before it (hopefully not) falls down 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝

Have you been or is it on your bucket list? I’ll give you another reason than just the Leaning Tower of Pisa (and I know that’s not and only). The FOOD 🤤 I had one of the best dinners there! It was like eating homemade food.

The north side of the tower started titling during construction because of unstable ground underneath it.

Most Memorable Moment: While walking through Campo Santo and seeing the Leaning Tower in person was fascinating, we were so glad to have caught the breathtaking sunset on the coast during our quick trip to Pisa. It was the perfect site to capture as we made our way further into Tuscany.

Leaning tower in Pisa. One of the strongest and biggest experiences of the whole holiday in Italy 🇮🇹
Pisa is not just a leaning tower, a cathedral and a chapel. For me, one of the places that will give you a "wow effect" for the second time. I know this because the tower tour made us decide to visit the city for the second time, just two days later and the feeling was still the same: "Wow, how could something so beautiful and tall be created? "
Can’t wait to come back here in again in 2023 hopefully and create more memories 😍❤️🇮🇹

The leaning tower of Pisa has been on my bucket list for a very long time.
Countless times I have read that The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bore and that is overrated... I have to completely disagree and say the whole area around the tower is beautiful and you will never forget it. I would say to give yourself a few hours- no more than half a day to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak it all in. The grounds were beautiful, so many happy people, the display of architecture was phenomenal, and of course many opportunities for wonderful pictures. There are decent restaurants nearby and of course they have great views. We just spent a few hours here hence that is why we didn't buy the tickets to climb the tower. It is very brilliant white and extremely ornate. Although there isn't lots of other things to see, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing the tower. It is very impressive, and shouldn't be missed. As others have said, a couple of hours is probably all you need in Pisa, but it is worth the trip!
Here are some tips i got :
1. I would suggest to purchase tickets in advance, as they can sell out quickly and there are reserved times in which you can visit the tower.
2. There are public restroom, just bring some change to pay.
3. Do not buy souvenirs inside the wall as they are more expensive. Buy outside, where the taxis drop you off.

One of the wonders of the world. A visit to Italy is incomplete without a detour in Pisa to visit the miraculous tower and a walk through the lanes of Pisa.
A picturesque location, the plaza is full of tourists. We visited around October and the weather could not have been any more pleasant.

Leaning Tower of Pisa, 🇮🇹
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is an absolute miracle of medieval engineering. It’s distinctive tilt has attracted tourists from all around the world, which included my self. I have always wondered why and how this monument looked like this. According to history, the Tower was a part of the grand project to flaunt both the military victories and grandeur of Pisa. The reason it is tilted was that the presence of soft alluvial soil on one side of the buildings foundations was causing the tower to lean due to its weak, unstable ground.
Don’t you worry, the place is safe. I even had great time playing around the tower as if I was holding it from leaning even more. It’s worth every minute of your time. 🥰❤️

Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, known worldwide for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation.
it is situated behind the Pisa Cathedral and is the third-oldest structure in the city's Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo).
Until recent years tourists were not allowed to climb the staircase inside the tower, due to consolidation work. But now the leaning Tower of Pisa is open again and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy
since there is only limited attractions, I decided to leave my luggage in the locker and spent 5 hours to tour around the city.

#awesomepic 🙆♀️ The second day in Florence, I decided to take a train to go to the small town of Pisa to see the civilized Leaning Tower of Pisa. Following the flow of people into the ancient city walls, the eyes suddenly opened up, and the square of Pisa Cathedral gathered the most splendid Romanesque buildings in Italy. On the day I went there, the sky was clear, the blue sky, and the fresh field scenery were particularly fascinating. All the tourists from all over the world in the square were taking pictures with the same pose. The scene was very interesting.

Italy must go to one of the attractions Leaning Tower leaning tower
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the freestanding bell tower of the Cathedral of Pisa, Italy, world famous The landscape is also one of the Italian symbols. Located behind the Cathedral of Pisa, it is one of the three major buildings of the Square of Miracles. The bell tower was built in 1173 and was designed for vertical construction, but was tilted shortly after the start of the project due to uneven foundation and soft soil. It was finally completed in 1372 under the direction of Giovanni di Simone and Giovanni Pisano, a unique cylinder. The building took nearly 200 years to complete, and the tower leaned southeast. Due to its sloping and architectural features, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is unique in its beauty.
.
See the Raiders of the pizza before departure. I saw that many people actually use pizza as a transfer station to the Cinque Terre. They are storing their luggage at the train station and then going out to take photos and open the photos. Enough, even the Pisa tower is not up. However, the bag feels that although the Pisa Tower is expensive, it is a very special experience, at least not anywhere else! As soon as we stepped into the Pisa Tower, our body tilted and stood unsteadily. It was about to fall, and the body was instantly unbalanced. Both of them laughed loudly! Hahaha~ Still quite interesting~~~ Then climb the ladder, and there is a feeling of dizziness, it is very fun, haha! ! !
.
The church angle above is good, just repaired, many scaffolding ~~~ No way, Italy is not repairing here is to repair there, scaffolding photos at any time, can only ignore the good ~~~
burger bag exclusive small Raiders:
