Red leaves @ Lau Shui Heung
Lau Shui Heung is also called the ‘sky mirror lake’ of Fanling district, Hong Kong. The scenery is especially stunning in late Dec to early Jan when the leaves start turning red.
Transportation: take minibus 52B at Fanling station, take off at Hok Tau. It takes about 10 minutes walk to reach the lake, where you can take a glance of the rolls of pine trees and cypress trees from distance. Then, you could walk for another 10 minutes to across the bridge for a closer look of the trees.

Nice View along the trail 😍
Lau Shui Heung country trail is nice and an easy one. The trail is paved, which might be less challenging for hikers that are looking for natural and wild ones however, the view along is beautiful. Many spots to take a photo shoot. The curled tree trunk, the lookout point in front of the barbecue site, and of course the reservoir itself. The cypress trees are just starting to turn yellow when I get there. This trail is walkers friendly, easy to find a spot for a picnic. Just beware of the monkey when you are enjoying food or drink. Just like me and my friend, we never imagine that a monkey would like to join us in enjoying our lunch 😅.
Would love to go back there when the cypress trees are turning red. It must amazing.
How to get there:
Fan Ling MTR Station exit A3 or exit C, take minibus 52K or 52B, get off at roundabout for Pat Sin Leng Country Park

Staycation at Four Seasons
Well, I mean Four Seasons Valley (四季休閒農莊). It’s a glamping/ camping site.

Located at Fanling near the famous country walk, Lau Shui Heung, Four Seasons is sure to be one of the popular place families choosing to bring their kids and fur baby to experience glamping or if you have the equipments, camping.
Total area of the campsite is at 160,000 sq ft, divided into different sections: glamping with different size of the mongolian tents, personal camping tents area, barbecue area, kitchen area with sinks and fridge, toilets and showers area, convenient store area, kids playground, big field in the middle of the campsite and parking area.
If you’re first timer or with young kids, renting the mongolian tents with aircon definitely make everything easier. Most of the camping stuff could be loan at the campsite, there’s even external chargers for rental. Campsite could purchase ingredients for barbecue on behalf if you’ve ordered or choose such option at booking.
Its considered summer now that the weather has been so warm, we reserved the inflatable pool for kids and adults to have a water gun fight in it. I guess the pool part could only happen during summer.

Kids think: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Mom think: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
😮💨: The grass were soaked with heavy shower the morning we arrived, and it became all muddy. The 2 days we were there, kids couldn’t run freely because of that.
👍: The campsite’s toilet/ shower is probably the cleanest I’ve even been. Kudos for that! Convenient shop with food and drinks, tent is tidy and playground is clean.
