This is the most surprising accommodation I've encountered on this trip, with a wabi-sabi aesthetic that is not like traditional hotels. The wooden textures combined with white allow one to feel a different kind of tranquility in the ancient town. The courtyard is very photogenic, blending the rustic with the modern perfectly. From the welcome fruit desserts to the rich afternoon tea, every detail is particularly well thought out. They contacted us early to confirm our check-in time, and since we were staying next to the Intercontinental, the ladies came with a cart to help us with our luggage because the roads in the ancient town are not easy to walk on.
The bedding, furniture, and even the toiletry bags in the room are all on point. They turned on the humidifier and lit the aromatherapy for us before check-in, and when we returned to the room at night, we found that the turn-down service had been done and snacks were prepared.
The most satisfying aspect for me is that Kuan Shang is the only place we stayed that has a convenient dressing table and mirror for girls, where you can sit down to do your makeup. The other places either only had a large mirror far from the seat or didn't have a dressing table at all. Additionally, they offer to wash and iron five pieces of clothing for you during your stay. I had a white dress that I had been dragging on the ground, and they washed it as good as new.
The lady mentioned that all the food is made in-house, with special handmade Chinese yam popping boba and roasted ginkgo nuts in the tea. The breakfast can be described as stunning; when the accompaniments for the rice noodles were served, I was amazed. It was more abundant than the popular rice noodles I had in the ancient town, and there was also the local specialty fried spare ribs, each dish delicious. The breakfast time is extended to 12 pm, allowing you to enjoy brunch in a super relaxed environment. Overall, I highly recommend this place, you can feel that every staff member

In Lijiang Old Town! I really made the right choice this time!!!
It's my first time in Lijiang, and I didn't do much research in advance. I chose to stay in Lijiang Old Town, at the Kuanshang Hotel next to the InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort. The reason for my choice is simple: if both InterContinental and Indigo have chosen this place, it must be good.
The butler contacted me in advance and greeted me at the entrance to help me with my luggage.
Here's a tip: Lijiang Old Town is not accessible by motor vehicles, so if your hotel doesn't offer luggage service, it can be a challenge for your physical strength.
The hotel itself is a century-old courtyard that has been transformed, retaining its rustic and natural charm, so comfort is the first impression.
As soon as I sat down, hot tea and the hotel's own flower cakes were served. After quickly checking in, the butler helped me to my room and introduced the various facilities.
To preserve the traditional style, the room key is still a physical key, which is very nice.
I stayed in the "Yinyue" room, which overlooks the old streets of the ancient town, but because there are not many tourists nearby, it is not noisy at all. Instead, I could see the ancient town in the daytime and at night, which I really liked.

There weren't many people at breakfast, but there was a wide variety of food, and the quality was higher than that of the Ritz and St. Regis in my mind.
Many of Yunnan's precious wild mushrooms appear in fried rice, rice noodles, and other breakfast dishes. The crispy buns I didn't get enough of in Kunming are also available for breakfast here! What a surprise!

What's special is the afternoon tea and the complimentary cleaning of five pieces of clothing. I never expected that a one-night stay would include free laundry for five items. The afternoon tea was also very sincere and quite exquisite.
Room. Upon entering the room, I saw the welcome fruit they had prepared. Moreover, everything in the tea cabinet was complimentary, including a few bottles of imported mineral water and some drinks, which my child really liked.
Restaurant and breakfast. Every item I got for breakfast was delicious, the kind of sincere breakfast that can fill you up well. Not like some hotels that have a lot of variety and a long spread but not many appetizing or tasty options.

The Naxi style courtyard combines white and wood elements.
It's a peaceful haven amidst the hustle and bustle, quiet and comfortable.
Inside the rooms, the modern home decor is in wabi-sabi style, cozy and upscale.
After booking, the butler inquired about the arrival time and helped with luggage at the entrance.
After check-in, a service group was established, and all requests were promptly addressed.

The hotel's breakfast was a pleasant surprise, lasting until twelve o'clock, combining Chinese and Western styles, seasonal black truffles, matsutake brunch... (It satisfied both the lazy and the foodie in me)
The bath kit was specially equipped with a herbal bath bag, which made me determined to stay at their hotel again next time I come to Lijiang💡
The room was specially equipped with characteristic straw hats👒 and woven handbags👝 for guests to take photos, which was so considerate～
