Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam
Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nakhon Nayok province. It is the longest roller-compacted concrete dam in the world. Located in Mueang Nakhon Nayok District, it is only about 100 kilometers from Bangkok, making it ideal for a day trip or an overnight stay.
The viewpoint at the dam crest is one of the highlights not to be missed. Tourists can walk or rent a golf cart for about a hundred baht per person for half an hour to the crest to enjoy the view of the dam and the river stretching amidst the mountains. Along the way, you can stop to take beautiful photos of nature. Besides walking around the dam, there are also boat tours that take tourists along the Nakhon Nayok River to admire the natural beauty on both sides of the river and visit waterfalls hidden in the valleys.
Another popular activity is taking a long-tail boat to see the Chong Lom Waterfall, which is located behind the dam. This waterfall is especially beautiful during the rainy season as the water flows down from the mountains in long streams, creating a refreshing and lush green atmosphere. Boating along the river allows tourists to get close to nature.
Around Khun Dan Dam, there are other interesting tourist spots such as Nang Rong Waterfall and Wang Takhrai Waterfall, which are not far from each other. These spots are perfect for nature sightseeing and cooling off in the water. Additionally, there are adventure activities such as rafting, bamboo rafting, and cycling through nature, which are popular among adventure-loving tourists.
For tourists who want to relax for a longer period, there are accommodations around the dam. There are many resorts and homestays that offer a peaceful natural atmosphere. Some are located by the water or on the mountains, allowing you to enjoy the dam view right from your room.

Nakhon Nayok, just bring your heart and you can travel.
This summer, don't know where to go? Go to Nakhon Nayok!
Popular tourist spots: Khao Chong Lom, Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam, not far from Bangkok and not crowded. Greener than you think! A great view that Thais shouldn't miss. Anyone who wants to take a break from playing in the water to admire nature, we invite you. It's only 1 hour from Bangkok. The summer may be hot, but your heart will be cooled down by the green grass cake. Although the trees may not be as thick as in the rainy season, it's not slippery. Anyone looking for a tourist spot not far from the city, come here. Nakhon Nayok is always waiting for you to visit. A secondary city that is second to none.

Khlong Kram Waterfall
Khlong Kram Waterfall, Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam, Nakhon Nayok Province
Khlong Kram Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall hidden in Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam, breathes fresh air from nature. The emerald green waterfall flows through the cracks in the rocks.
But before we can see the beauty mentioned, we have to take a boat and walk and climb for about 200 meters to reach the waterfall. Let me tell you that the way is just as beautiful.
I recommend coming during the rainy season to see the beautiful waterfall. Non-slip shoes will make the trip easier.
Additional transportation: Take a tour boat at the dam.
Parking: Park at Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam.

BOAT TRIP IN THE DAM
#2023travelwish
This recommended boat trip is in Nakhon Nayok province in Thailand, it takes 2 hours by car.
Another 2 hours for boat trip to enjoy sceneries of dam and waterfalls.
Boat ticket costs 200 Baht per person and 1,500 Baht for private boat if you come as a group 7-8 person.
If we don’t like the boat trip we can spend 30 Baht and join small minivan to explore surrounding area.
PS. May have to go back in Jul-Aug to experience another route before high level of water.
For next year 2023, hope I will have a chance to hiking to Machu Piccu.
