A Journey Through Kodaiji Temple's Fall Splendor
#fallcolors #100waysoftravel #japan
Visiting Kodaiji Temple during the autumn season is a breathtaking experience. The vibrant fall colors transform the landscape into a stunning tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows, perfectly complementing the temple's serene architecture. The contrast of the brilliant foliage against the ancient wooden structures creates a picturesque scene that feels almost ethereal.
Kodaiji Temple, steeped in history and culture, was founded in 1606 by the powerful Hosokawa family. Its beautifully manicured gardens, designed to reflect the changing seasons, are particularly enchanting in autumn. As you stroll through the grounds, the crisp air and rustling leaves enhance the temple's tranquil ambiance.
The combination of Kodaiji Temple’s rich history and the stunning fall colors creates a magical atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for those seeking to immerse themselves in both nature and Japanese culture, making it a must-visit during the autumn season.

A day in Kyoto: Byōdō-in & Fushimi Inari
We visited Kyoto prefecture for a day trip and we saw several places: Byōdō-in Buddhist Temple in Uji City followed by Tea Ceremony (Chanoyu) at Uji's Taihoan Tea House and Fushimi Inari Shrine. We also went to the Japanese tea production where they made the tea in traditional way as well as the roasting unit which make unique and rich tea flavor. In the evening we enjoyed a traditional Japanese dinner at Kodaiji Hashiba.

Exploring the Night Maple at Toji Temple in Kyoto and Osaka
After experiencing the night maple at Kodaiji Temple, visiting the night maple at Toji Temple offers a different kind of beauty. Following the planned route, you'll be mesmerized by the maple leaves, reflections, and lights as soon as you enter.
Although the entrance fee is not cheap, it's definitely worth the visit. Don't just focus on the night maple; the indoor areas are also open at night and are worth checking out.

Kyoto Toji Temple Light Up Last Night
Thanks to Toji Temple for extending the light-up event until December 10th! Most of Kyoto's autumn foliage night illumination events ended on December 3rd, which left me feeling quite disappointed as I arrived in Kyoto on the 8th. However, just one night at Toji Temple was enough to satisfy me.
Although the night view at Kodaiji Temple was beautiful, Toji Temple's grandeur was unmatched. The five-story pagoda alone added layers to the scenery, making me want to exclaim 'wow' throughout my visit. Toji Temple is a symbol of Heian-kyo, which was modeled after Chang'an, so my emotions were mixed with romantic imaginations of the Tang Dynasty's Chang'an.
The waterfowl was photographed in the pond in front of the pagoda. I regretted not bringing my camera, as the phone photos didn't do justice to the beauty seen with the naked eye. Besides the night maple leaves, the three-dimensional mandalas in the Kondo and Kodo are worth seeing. Especially during nighttime visits, the dim lighting makes the statues appear more solemn, and the ancient wooden scent in the air adds to the mysterious atmosphere. Whether you understand Esoteric Buddhism or not, you can feel a power that seems to transcend time here.

Kyoto Higashiyama Minor Route | Kodai-ji & Daiun-in.
| Kodai-ji & Daiun-in. Everyone knows about the "Yasaka Shrine, Gion, Kiyomizu-dera" in Kyoto Higashiyama, and a little more, "Kennin-ji". In Higashiyama, there are "Kodai-ji, Daiun-in" sandwiched between them.
🍃
The green leaf slope, courtyard, and bamboo forest of Kodai-ji are all worth seeing, and there are not so many people. The Daiun-in next to it, the "Gionkaku" inside is very beautiful. This is also part of the villa of the founder of the Okura Zaibatsu, Kihachiro Okura, and the famous early Showa architecture designed by the architect, Chuta Ito. It is 36m high and is convenient for watching the Gion Festival. This place was reopened in July this year, and you can visit the interior. There are many murals, but it's a pity that it ends at 9:30, and it closes at 16:00 every day.

Magical Night of Autumn Leaves in Kyoto's Gion.
I had the fortune to experience an unforgettable night of autumn leaves in Kyoto's Gion. The night here is starkly different from the day; as the sun sets, the streets of Gion are illuminated by soft lights, and the ancient wooden houses and stone-paved roads are bathed in a warm glow of light and shadow. Walking through this historic district, I felt as if I had traveled back to Japan centuries ago.
The night maple of Gion is a highlight of the autumn season here. As night falls, the maple leaves become exceptionally enchanting under the light. The red leaves reflect the lights, creating a dazzling tapestry. Walking on the path of night maple, with the gentle breeze and the rustling of dry leaves, it's as if they are telling the story of Gion. This unique atmosphere is calming and makes one forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
I especially recommend the maple viewing spot of Kodaiji Temple in Gion. The garden design here is exquisite, and the lights at night reflect the maple leaves on the water surface, creating a dreamlike scene. There's also the Minami-dori along Shirakawa, where you can walk along the river, with maple trees on both sides and ancient teahouses reflecting each other, making it a place where one lingers and forgets to return.
If you also love the beauty of nature and the simplicity of culture, then the night maple of Gion is something you can't miss. It's a place where one can completely relax and immerse in the beautiful scenery. I look forward to coming here again to experience more of the changing seasons.

It is a Zen Buddhist temple located in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto. I love the place because it is quite and the area is huge. They have small traditional huts, and a traditional covered walkway that crosses small ponds. A really an interesting and great place. I was also shocked to see a concrete head of a dragon at a random sight. For ¥600, you already have a 1-day pass of the place.

Japan|Photographing super beautiful vibrating sleeves and clothes, how to shoot no one in the cherry blossom season h
How can I miss the beautiful kimono photos in Japan, and share some little experience of sakura season kimonos.
kimono selection:
Sakura season, we recommend that you choose a sleeve kimono, which is a formal kimono worn by Japanese women on important occasions. It is equivalent to a dress in a kimono, so it is much better whether it is a fabric. It takes more than 40 minutes for a set to be worn. For a thin girl, there will be a lot of towels inside, and the waist can't bend. If you travel to Japan in the summer, it is not recommended to wear this. Too hot will definitely heatstroke.
Makeup is painted by myself, add money to make hair, rent a small bag, photos are taken by myself. It is recommended that girls who do not take photos can book a photographer. After all, it is rare to wear them once, but they are still tired and worthy of leaving a beautiful photo.
Shooting route selection:
We have chosen the route of Kiyomizu-Seoul-Kota-ji Temple. The sights here are basically walking away, and there are many people in the kimono dressing up. It doesn't feel too awkward. Wearing a vibrating sleeve kimono and walking fast is not far away, returning the kimono from 12 noon to 6 pm.
Sakura season shot no ones:
1 Don't crowd people on the main road. There are some characteristics of popular Japanese attractions, and there are many people on the main road. But when you go to the path next to you, you will lose more than half of the people, but the scenery will not be discounted.
2 Rational use of photographic equipment. The telephoto lens, first of all, can be blurred in the background, and the second viewing angle is narrow, which can prevent the crowd from appearing in the lens. 35 or 50 large aperture lens, the viewfinder is wider, but it can blur the background very well.

Because I don't want to be limited by the restriction of booking dinner, although I know that the restaurant around Shiping Xiaolu usually needs an appointment, but I am still prepared to buy a store, it is better to hit the store. After nearly failed the store, it is nearly 9 o'clock, hungry. Prepare for the convenience of the supermarket and walk to the side of the Gaotai Temple and Chuanchuan, which is located in the traditional dwellings. It coincides with the chefs enthusiasm for the guests, and hes greeting with the chef and asked if he can Did you eat? The chef hesitated and said, "Yes, but you can't order, I will eat if you do." So I am happy to enter the store, the store is very small, it is estimated that it will accommodate more than ten diners at most, so I started the chef and my late night cafeteria. The chef is also the owner of the village, Zhongcun Jun, in the bar, I am outside the bar. Along the way, I chatted about food, talked about the experience of making a living, talked about my dreams, talked about my hometown, 11 meals, match it, and there are many amazing things until near midnight. Although the talk was very strong, but still can not bear to continue to disturb, resigned out of the store, Nakamura was sent out, and after strolling out of the tens of meters, he did not intend to look back, found that he still stood at the door and looked at me and walked away. I tried to wave to him and shouted loudly: "Please come back, the night is cold." The sound broke the quiet night, then turned and turned into the stone screen, and went around to stay.
OO-OO.
As the accommodation is a few minutes walk from the Gaotai Temple, I am temporarily going to visit Gaotai Temple at night. I watched the Kyoto Tower in the main entrance of the Gaotai Temple, and then I was surprised by the dragon on the wall of the Gaotai Temple. I bought a night tour. Gaotai Temple is popular for the night, but it is at most one-tenth of the entrance of the Yongguantang back pattern. It only takes a few minutes to enter the temple. After seeing the super abstract sound and light show of the dry landscape garden of the church, the eye-catching attraction of the Gaotai Temple night tour is the reflection of the maple tree on the edge of the open pool. When the night clouds are light and the wind is shining, the moonlight is the extreme, and it sighs. The temple is made by the trail. In terms of my several nights, the Gaotai Temple night scene may have more sense of isolation from the world. It is helpless, and it flows to the horizon.
OO-OO.
Not far from the Qingshui Temple, I went to Gaotai Temple to watch the lights at night. Gaotai Temple was built after the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and his wife Ningning was praying for his husband's blessing in 1606. Ning Ning became a monk after the death of Hideyoshi. The law was named Gao Yueyuan, and he chose it as a place of practice. Gaotai Temple is named after this.
Ningning Conghui Xianshu, one of the "Three Warring States of the Warring States", has a discerning eye and supports Xiuji's hegemony all the way. After Tokugawa Ieyasu unified the world, in order to stabilize the political situation, the old department of Xiuji, who followed Ningning, was given a lot of manpower and financial support during the construction of the temple.
The night maple of Gaotai Temple is very beautiful. It is one of the great scenes of Kyoto. The maple leaves and the courtyard, the covered bridge and the tea house are against each other. The lights are also very hard to think about. The color is the most colorful in the temple I visited. It is very worth seeing.

Mio..
The Gaotai Temple was the place where his wife, after the death of General Toyotomi Hideyoshi, had raised his wife in his later years. Like many other temples, the cherry blossom season and the red leaf season are the best seasons for viewing. Although it is not far from the Qingshui Temple where the shoulders are connected, it is a place of tranquility in Ningning.
On the high steps, as soon as he entered the door, the meat brother felt that he had learned how to learn from the water house and clean his hands. The people who came to visit the hall to visit the temple also shook the hammer. Hands clasped together, high-five, squatting. A serious and clumsy look.
The sandstone land, which is especially common in Japanese monasteries, is a good place for children to play. Just when we walked away from Gaotai Temple, the meat brother met Amelia, a young lady from Sweden. Two children, one stone thrown at the other, are not tired; Amelia also wears his sunglasses to the meat brother. The two children who are not very talkative and whose language is not good are chasing and playing in the sun. Amelia's mom and dad joked that we were sitting here quietly waiting for them.
Traveling with children, these little travels in the process of believing that the children themselves feel it. Although it was just an ordinary sand, he harvested the sincerity and friendliness conveyed by Miss Sister, and let our four adults see a beautiful picture of two little guesses.
Lynn&Luca.
In the middle of the cherry blossom season, the Gaotai Temple and the Qingshui Temple are only a few stone roads separated by three years and two years. However, the crowds and the Qingshui Temple are completely different.
No need to queue to buy the joint ticket of Gaotai Temple and Yuandeyuan for 900 yen. The doorway also introduces the specific open landscape of the cherry blossom season. It is Figure 2, which shows the drooping from the window of the right side of the abalone hall. Sakura scene. Although I don't think it's a great location, it's quite interesting. It's fun to line up for a round.
Azitang Hall needs to take off your shoes and take it with a plastic bag. Sitting in the middle observation platform, you can see the 100-year-old branch of Gaotai Temple, which is regarded as a treasure, and sit quietly to watch the cherry blossoms scattered. Its wonderful to say nothing, and quiet viewing is happiness.
