💎 🎉 If you think only foreign landscapes can make your heart race, you are sorely mistaken! Yining, this dopamine-filled town, will definitely bring you surprises and emotions that are no less than those abroad.
🌈 🏠 Liuxing Street: Walking at the end of the rainbow Liuxing Street, a name you might not have heard of, but once you step into this street, you'll be attracted by the colorful houses, as if every step is on a rainbow
👣 Every door, every window, could be the start of a story. Next time you come to Xinjiang, remember to spend a day on this street, let it take you into a colorful dream.
💎 Must-visit spots:
①🍦 Gulandanmu Ice Cream: Sweet temptation On Liuxing Street, you definitely can't miss Gulandanmu's handmade ice cream. 🍨 For 10 yuan, you can have a big bowl of happiness, and you can add unlimited toppings! ④🍽️ 🍖 Aibaoersake: The charm of Kazakh cuisine Aibaoersake is a distinctive Kazakh restaurant, if you don't want to sit down for a full meal, just order a Baoersake and Huludak to easily enjoy the delicious food. 🍽️

🏡 Kazanqi Folk Village: There is a stronger sense of history and life here, colorful houses are as charming as Liuxing Street.
🌄 Yili River: In the evening, come to the Yili River to enjoy the sunset, the free scenery is just as breathtaking.

Most of the walls and doors are painted blue by the locals. I feel like that I arrive at another city, such as Chefchaouen in Morocco. You should never miss the fruits in Xinjiang which are sweet and big.

"Xinjiang Traveling - Kazanqi": Exploring the most exotic native areas in Xinjiang
"Recommended": [Fu 5]
"Coordinates": Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture Kazanqi Folk Customs Area, Yixiang Street, Yining City
"Features":
1The number of Uighurs in Kazanqili is the largest. This ethnic minority may live in a romantic soul. In this mysterious colorful alley, there are full of surprises everywhere.
2The few ethnic celebrities here like colorful colors, and blue is the main color of the houses they built for hundreds of years, so a household here has a different blue color. Although the blue is amazing, it is not dazzling, but with a fresh and quiet.
3In the early morning, a group of people started to sweep the street, just a wall, or a door, is the best setting. There are fewer laughs in the alleys, seeing the courtyards that you like, pushing open the door, asking if you can take a photo, the hosts are enthusiastic, and then they have these photos.
4 Finally ended the journey of this colorful alley in the arms of a very polite twin baby.
"Attention": The residents here are also very friendly, but it does not mean that you can enter the courtyard of other people at will. It is best to get the owner's answer before you take a photo.

Kazanqi Folk Village: A unique experience in a fairy tale world.
As soon as you step into the Kazanqi Folk Village, you seem to have entered a fairyland isolated from the world. The group of pigeons at the door fly freely and interact intimately with the tourists, forming a harmonious picture.
Walking into the village, you will be attracted by the blue here. Whether it's on the door, on the wall, or on the window, even on the curtains, it's full of blue. This unique blue seems to be a unique symbol of Kazanqi, which makes people feel relaxed and happy.
The buildings here are unique, and every brick and tile reveals ethnic characteristics. Some houses have existed for hundreds of years, but they are still as strong as ever. The uncle who took you on a tour told you that these were houses they built themselves, and each one was full of stories and history.
We were invited to a beautiful courtyard, where all kinds of flowers were planted, and bunches of grapes under the tall grape racks seemed to be holding a grand meeting. Everything here is so quiet and harmonious, as if people have entered a fairy tale world.
Here, you can hear the sound of horse-drawn carriages, see children playing in the water, and feel the enthusiasm and kindness of the villagers. Every detail makes people feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. And the food here is even more memorable, every bite makes people feel worthwhile.
Kazanqi Folk Village is a unique place with its own unique culture and customs. Everything here makes people feel so unique, as if they are in a fairyland isolated from the world. If you are looking for a place to relax and experience culture, then Kazanqi Folk Village is definitely a good choice.

The seventh and eighth days of the self-driving trip from Beijing to Xinjiang
Today, we set off from Nalati to the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area in Yili Old Town, covering a total distance of 250 kilometers in 3 hours. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with lush crops and vegetation everywhere, and you can see herds of cattle, sheep, and horses, as well as fitness enthusiasts running. This entire route is on the highway with very few service areas, so we refueled our car whenever we saw a gas station, almost always keeping the tank full. Upon arriving at the Kazan Folk Tourism Area, we found a parking lot nearby and took our dog to explore the scenic area. The area is large, featuring local tricycles 🛺 and electric cars for tourists, but you can also explore the area on foot. After finishing our visit, we set off again. Today, we had no specific destination and decided to go wherever the road took us. We left the scenic area around noon and headed towards the Horgos Port, then turned right towards Sayram Lake. This stretch of the journey was incredibly beautiful. Leaving the scenic area, we entered an open area with lush greenery and distant mountains ⛰️ and snow-capped peaks 🏔️. As we continued, we entered the highway section of the Sayram Lake Scenic Area. On one side of the lake is the snow-capped mountain 🏔️, and on the other side is the highway. A long section of this highway is built within the scenic area. We stopped at the Sayram Lake rest area to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Continuing on, we passed through a tunnel and started winding up the mountain. The road was flanked by high mountains and deep valleys, which, though dangerous, were stunningly beautiful. Finally, we reached the top of the mountain, and the Guozigou Bridge suddenly appeared, which was incredibly awe-inspiring. At that moment, I felt an immense sense of pride and excitement for our powerful motherland 👍. We drove off the bridge and started descending the mountain. As it got darker, we exited the highway nearby to find a hotel to rest.

The century-old residence in Kazanqi/Tasimaimaiti Bai's old residence
In the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, a local friend took us to visit a friend's house, which is the old residence of Tasimaimaiti Bai, a century-old building.
The owner still lives inside, with a beautiful courtyard, traditional Russian-style architecture, and interior decorations.
The owner warmly entertained us. We sat in the courtyard, drinking tea and chatting. We joked that such a distinctive courtyard, located in a tourist area, might as well be opened to the public to let everyone admire the beauty of the century-old building.

Yining Kazanqi
Yining's favorite original ecological neighborhood, without much commercial atmosphere.
A stretch of blue houses, paths filled with purple locust flowers, benches under the sun, flocks of pigeons on the walls, quiet and comfortable, so happy that we hummed songs all the way.
It was the first time for the girls to ride a carriage; the small rivers in the neighborhood are naturally formed by the melting of ice and snow from the mountains, the water is icy and refreshing...

Compared to Kashgar, I love this blue and white small town more~ Map route
Yining in Ili is not just about grasslands and snowy mountains🏔️, it is full of cultural charm and is really worth a visit. My favorite old town in Yining is Hazanqi, 🐎 with the jingling horse carriages, a strong sense of nostalgia, blue and white colorful old houses, children all over the streets, and I even took photos with the locals, 😇 it was so much fun.
Hazanqi Folk Tourism Area, ☝🏻 is not just a tourist attraction, it is a real old town area where locals live, free to enter, the place is quite large, and you can spend half a day wandering around. Here is the tour route🗺️, the map is at the end, you need to get 🐴 ready.
🔷Route
North Gate--Visitor Center--Qianjin Street Area--Old Town Core Area--Return
The residents of Hazanqi Street are distributed in the Qianjin Street area, the core area, and the Orchard Street area. ➡️ Enter from the North Gate, you can first go to the Visitor Center to use the restroom, here you can buy horse carriage tickets or sightseeing car tickets. ✅ The horse carriage and sightseeing car can only quickly tour the old town, stopping at 4 points to take photos📸, suitable for those with limited time.
🔹Qianjin Street
I recommend walking around, entering from the North Gate, 🕍 you can wander around the Qianjin Street area, boldly walk into the alleys, there are many travel photo shops here, and fewer tourists. When you are tired, 🛻 find a tricycle on the road, 10 yuan per person, directly to the core area of the old town. (⚠️ The driver will tell you to take a car tour, also stopping at 4 points, be firm and say you only want to go to the old town to explore on your own.)
🔹Core Area
The car will take you to Sainaimu Square, get off and you can freely wander the alleys. Many of the houses🏠 here have open doors, some even have signs at the door saying 'Visit Point', you can enter and visit. These are residential houses, each yard is very beautiful, with grape trellises, full of flowers, and fruit trees in front of the house. I met an old lady👵🏻, her granddaughters had just finished their exams, and they were very friendly and took photos📸 together. (The grandma didn't want to be photographed, remember to ask before taking photos❗️) On the way, a group of children invited me to pet their kitten🐱, it was so healing.
🍨 There are many handmade ice cream shops in Hazanqi, I randomly found a workshop with a garden to eat, 🍃 the environment was great. You can also see the ice cream being made, honestly, I don't recommend queuing at popular shops, choose the original flavor, it won't be too sweet, other flavors might be sweeter.
After finishing this area, I found a tricycle and went back to the North Gate. (The car stops here) I didn't visit Orchard Street in the end, actually, you can continue to visit Orchard Street and leave from the South Gate.
🎈🎈🎈 More niche fun places on the homepage~ I am Xiao K who loves to travel, I have a 9-year-old child, and I love sharing travel guides, also passionate about discovering local places to take kids. ✈️✈️✈️ Recently working hard on updating Xinjiang travel guides.

Strolling through the old town of Khorgas in Yining, Xinjiang, feels like stepping into a blue, dreamy world
In the Khorgas folk village of the old town in Yining, Xinjiang, take a seat on a beautiful and exquisite carriage, listen to the clip-clop of horse hooves and the crisp ringing of bells, and everything you see in the old town is as clear and elegant as the azure sky.
Khorgas folk village is more of a living multi-ethnic lifestyle sample area than a tourist attraction. The variety of residential houses and folk customs dazzle the eyes, but blue seems to be a common belief, with exterior walls and windows mostly painted in highly saturated blue, matched with other colorful decorations, occasionally exaggerated but not lacking in aesthetics. European architecture, Sino-Western style houses, ethnic minority courtyards, and traditional buildings with a hundred years of history... all shine together here, no wonder Khorgas is also known as a natural 'residential museum'.

The vastness of Xinjiang is evident on the map🗺︎
When you actually set foot on the land of Xinjiang and see the endless grasslands, the boundless Gobi deserts, the sense of grandeur is even more shocking than what you see on the map

Join a tour or self-drive❓
🔹It is recommended to join a tour, as many of the scenic spots you want to see in Xinjiang are very far away, self-driving is costly, and it's troublesome and delays the trip if you encounter problems on the way, and driving long distances is tiring. It's not enjoyable to visit the scenery with an exhausted body
🔹Although joining a tour is not as free as self-driving, it still gives you time to play, it's worry-free and effortless! A small group of 4-6 people is not expensive and can still enjoy the experience of a free trip, stop wherever you want!

Travel to Xinjiang's Kazanqi | A village brimming with exotic folk customs
"Kazanqi" in Uyghur means "a person who makes a living by casting pots". The Kazanqi Folk Customs Tourist Area is located in the south of Yining City, and it is a large-scale original ecological cultural scenic area that mainly reflects the Uyghur folk customs of Ili. It is also the image window of Yining.
Some households are specially open to tourists, and you can visit their homes with permission. The locals are very hospitable, and if you encounter a scene you want to photograph, you just need to greet them proactively. We met a few lovely little girls who were generous and elegant in front of the camera.
Every household has a small chair at the door for sunbathing, and after walking around, we saw all kinds of combinations. Luxurious homes have outdoor courtyards, ordinary people might place an old sofa, and the simplest is just a piece of wood with a cloth laid over it.
We merely passed through the ordinary lives of others,
but it broadened our own inner world.

Yining City, Xinjiang | Eating and drinking guide is here!
Yining has an airport, friends coming to Xinjiang can play and turn around in this colorful and delicious place~😍
1⃣️Kazanqi Folk Scenic Area: You can take a horse-drawn carriage🐎 for a ride inside, remember to bargain! There are many delicious foods in the alley, barbecue noodles ice cream... and various blue ethnic style small houses. There are also small pigeons at the door to take pictures, very beautiful~
2⃣️Six Star Street: This is a relatively new attraction, and it is also some ethnic style buildings, with more shops. Gulandum ice cream🍦 must be tasted, with any small ingredients. There is also a Russian large leba bakery🍞, after eating Xinjiang cuisine, you can also taste Russian cuisine. Six Star Street is larger and there are some specialty shops, cafes and even vintage to visit.
3⃣️Yili River Lantern Festival: It seems to be the first lantern exhibition🏮, until March. It's quite big and well done, free entry. It's nice to go for a walk and take pictures at night. It's just a long way to go out.
4⃣️Zhuque Lake Park: Not far from Yining City, the lake is now frozen and you can play on the ice, rent a tire sled haha it's so fun, just tired😅
Of course, Xinjiang cuisine doesn't need to say much, noodles, big plate chicken, roast lamb, pilaf, fried rice noodles... No, I'm going to be greedy if I say it again, I can't eat enough, I can't eat enough!
ALDEN JIMENEZ
The must-visit Kazanqi Folk Street in Yining!
⭕Kazanqi⭐⭐⭐⭐
There are many blue houses, which are very distinctive. Inside, there are some shops selling yogurt, as well as some teahouses and shops renting ethnic costumes.
⭕Six Star Street⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall, it is cleaner than Kazanqi, and cars are not allowed to enter after 7 o'clock. There are also many places to take pictures.
⭕Food
❶Gulandam Ice Cream: Many people buy the classic original flavor for 9.9, and then add various small ingredients. The internet-famous shop is super crowded, but the queue is quite fast. The ice cream is more delicious than that in Urumqi and Tian Er Street. Zaxiangzi Noodle Soup: It won't step on the thunder, but it's not particularly delicious. It's mediocre, 26 for a serving, with side dishes, noodle soup (cabbage, cold noodle pieces, mutton), oil cake, and flower rolls.
❷Hazina Pastry: Because I went late, there are not many pastries left. I bought the very windy apricot jam and yogurt bread. Because I was quite full, I tasted a bite of apricot jam bread, I didn't like it, it was too sweet... I will comment on the yogurt bread after eating.
⚠️A restaurant I really like: Mijiti Fast Food Restaurant
The pilaf and oily meat noodles inside are super delicious (not in Kazanqi and Six Star Street)
I feel that there is no need to deliberately check in at Kazanqi and Six Star Street. If you come to take ethnic photos, you can. There are many shops, choose carefully...

Xinjiang is too cold in winter, you can wait for the spring in Yili
If you think Xinjiang is too cold in winter, you can wait for the spring in Yili🍃
Xinjiang is a place where you can't find a substitute for beautiful scenery. Looking at the spring in China🌸, it's hard to find such a place where snow mountains, lakes, deserts, forests, and grasslands can coexist~ There are flowers and grass, romance and poetry, it's really hard not to like it💗
·
📝Travel tips
✏️Bring a storm jacket or thin down jacket in your luggage, the temperature difference in spring is quite large
✏️The apricot blossom period is only more than half a month, friends who want to go to see the flowers must book in advance
✏️The journey between scenic spots is long, it is recommended to find a local regular travel agency to join a small group, it is fun and not alone
·
❗Note: Please do not arbitrarily pick and break flowers when you are watching, and do not litter♻️
·
🌺Flower viewing period
The flowering period of apricot flowers is roughly from March to April every year. If the weather is windy and rainy, the flowers will wither faster. Sisters who are coming should arrange their time

The old street where residents live, every household's door and courtyard wall are pleasing to the eye
In winter after the snow, there are few tourists, walking in the alley, occasionally meeting children playing in the snow, workers returning from shoveling snow, and the century-old shop at the end of the alley
Time is slow, steps are slow...

Kazanqi | An old city cherished by time
An old city cherished by time. Kazanqi in Uighur means 'people who make pots'. When the Uighurs migrated here from southern Xinjiang in the early days, most of them made a living from traditional handicrafts, with pot making being the majority. Although pot making was later replaced by mechanized production, many traditional crafts such as saddles, ironwork, and woodcarving are still preserved here.
The sound of crisp bells can be heard from time to time on the streets of Kazanqi, which is the sound of horse-drawn carriages passing by. The horse-drawn carriage is an important means of transportation here, providing convenience for residents' travel, and has now become one of the ways for tourists to experience local life. The ding-ding-ding sound makes the old city young and lively.
Blue is the first business card that most people know about Kazanqi. The buildings here still retain a relatively complete traditional style and pattern, and the main color is mostly blue. In a sea of blue, you will occasionally encounter different colors at the next corner. Bold and bright colors make people intoxicated in the charm of Kazanqi.
Most of the houses here have flowers or trees in front of them. Under the careful care of the homeowners, the plants are full of vitality. Some houses have courtyards with large grape racks. Although it is not the season for grapes during the visit, you can almost see the fruitful summer.
How can such a small city not move people's hearts, even time has stopped here, preserving the past handicrafts, horse-drawn carriages, and buildings to this day, people then infuse it with love for life, making it a paradise outside of concrete.

🌟Respect local folk culture, if you want to visit local people's homes, greet them first
🌟The temperature difference between morning and evening is relatively large, it is recommended to prepare cold-proof clothing
🌟There are no walls here, it is an open area, you can choose to ride a horse-drawn carriage or walk, remember to prepare a pair of comfortable shoes for walking

Xinjiang Yining actually has a small Moroccan, you can take beautiful blue
without going abroad. Perhaps many people come to Xinjiang Yining to transfer to see Lavender and Sailimu Lake, but there is still one in Yining City. A very beautiful place called Katzan.
Kazanqi is an original large-scale humanistic scenic spot that reflects the folk customs of Yili, but in fact, there are not many tourists coming here, but it is a place I like here.
Because the houses here have been painted in pink-blue tones, and the doors and windows here are quite ethnic, and they are in the streets, occasionally having the illusion of being in Chefchaouen, Morocco. Its enough to pat for an hour or two!
Food Raiders:
1, Xinjiang Xiaozizi
This is a chain in Xinjiang, also in places like Urumqi, and is also highly recommended: Xinjiang yogurt, kebabs, large chickens must , cost-effective!
2, hand-picked rice
hand-picked rice is a special feature of Xinjiang. It does not have to be eaten in restaurants. The small restaurant on the street is the place where locals patronize. It is not wrong to find more family members.
3, pomegranate juice
Xinjiang pomegranate juice is super delicious, freshly squeezed out, very sweet ~
4, Yining ice cream
two on the Kazan, not at the time It is clear that which is the old shop, just went to a family, it tastes great, and the milk tastes mellow.
Transportation:
Urumqi-Yining has many transportation modes, trains, planes and buses.
The best tourist season:
4-9 months, there are apricot flowers in Xinghuagou in April, lavender and Sailimu Lake in June and July, and the most beautiful autumn colors in September.

"Kazanqi", Uyghur means "casting pot for the industry". Kazanqi is located in the southern part of Yining City, the capital of Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. It is close to Hanren Street and People's Square. It is an original large-scale humanistic scenic spot reflecting the folk customs of Yili Uygur. It is the image window of Yining and the national 3A level tourism. Scenic spots, where you can eat, travel, travel, buy, and entertain, you can experience the rich "Xinjiang taste."
The blue wall that I saw in a friend's travels, like the Chefchaouen, was originally from the Folklore Garden. Many dwellings have been painted with colored paint, and I like the blue wall most, and I want to take a picture everywhere. This street is not long, there are some special shops along the street, but we have come a lot early and have not opened the door. Visitors can take a horse-drawn carriage ride and it looks very interesting.
Yining hand-made ice cream is very good, because the ingredients are pure, no flavor and other additives, so there will be a little bit of milky taste, this taste will be very delicious.
I like this place very much. It would be a shame not to take the photos I wanted, but those beautiful pictures are already hidden in my memory.

In Yining City, there is the only Uyghur-style cultural area in northern Xinjiang, the Kazanqi Folk Customs Area, where you can see colorful walls and Uighur-style houses, as well as very nice to wear. Uighur girl.
There is a traditional roasting buns at the street, and the Uighur brother skillfully mixes a large pot of meat, and the buns that are being baked in the steamer are smelling. The doors and windows of the streets and lanes in the folk village are mostly blue, and the sky is blue and pure. So there will be a feeling in Chefchaouen in Morocco. The appearance of the people here is generally different from South Asia and the Middle East. It does not look the same as the Han people. The children here can't help but want to call them holle, hahaha.

When I came to Yining, the Kazanqi Folk Village must be taken to see it. Kazan was originally a Uighur settlement with a cast pot. Nowadays, the faces of Uighurs are coming here.
The buildings in the folk villages are mostly blue, sky blue and pure. The gorgeous architectural color will give people a visual impact, while the blue of Kazan is a kind of blue that makes people feel quiet.
Wooden doors of various colors are always able to attract my shots.
If you want to learn about the lifestyles of today's Uighurs, it is indeed a rewarding travel experience to come here. Early morning or evening is the best time to visit. At this time, there are few tourists, so you can swim in this lane. A kind old grandmother came out of the doorway and looked at our camera and smiled at us.
Kazan has a lot of manned carriages, the carriage is long and a horse can carry 6-8 people. The carriage is also a means of transportation for the locals, and the exotic scenes always surprise you here.
Figure 9 is bigger than my face. Its really too real. We didnt finish eating all the way.
