Review of Taking the Osaka Airport Express 'Rapi:t' from Kansai Airport to Namba Station
One of the main ways to get from Kansai Airport to downtown Osaka is the blue direct train called Rapi:t.
Rapi:t is a direct airport train that takes only 40 minutes to get from Kansai Airport to Namba, the heart of Osaka.
One of the advantages of Rapi:t is that you can purchase tickets in advance and reserve seats and times. There are two types of tickets: a physical ticket and an electronic QR ticket. I personally recommend using the QR electronic ticket.
Although the QR code updates every 5 minutes, which can be inconvenient as you need to activate it before passing through the ticket gate, it saves time at the airport since you don't need a physical ticket.
Especially, if you purchase an electronic ticket, you can change the seat and time up to two times, which is convenient if you need to adjust the time during immigration.
The cost is around 11,000 KRW per person, which is not expensive, so you can board without much burden.
Trains from Kansai Airport to Namba Station run every hour at 5 and 35 minutes past the hour, and trains from Namba Station to Kansai Airport run every hour on the hour and at 30 minutes past the hour.
With frequent schedules and reasonable prices, purchasing a Rapi:t ticket is a good option for those traveling from Kansai Airport to downtown Osaka.

▼Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 Counter A
Web check-in and automated check-in at the airport are not available, so you will need to check in at the counter. You will need a passport and e-ticket.
Check-in is said to be 120 minutes before departure, but if you go after the flight, you can check in from 150 minutes before departure. The deadline seems to be 40 minutes before departure.
▼Near GATE1 at Gimhae International Airport, Busan, Korea
In Busan, check-in was also done at the counter, and check-in was possible 150 minutes before. According to the official website, the deadline is 20 minutes before the flight departs.
▼Baggage
Checked baggage is charged, and I often see tickets that include up to 15kg. Additional baggage is 10,000w per kg. Carry-on baggage is limited to one piece of baggage up to 10kg with a total of 115cm on all three sides.
▼Aircraft and seats
The aircraft was an Airbus 321-231, with three seats on each side of the central aisle. My impression was that even in the middle seat, I didn't have to worry too much about the person next to me, and it was comfortable. There is a charge for advance seat reservations, and if there is an empty seat when you check in on the day, they will ask you for your preference free of charge.
▼Additional services
Food and drinks are charged. You can purchase in-flight meals as an additional service in Japanese yen from the official website up to three days before boarding. Payment must be made in advance.
・Chicken nugget omelet rice 1200 yen
A set of fried rice omelet rice, 3 mini-sized nuggets, and a brownie. The seasoning is mild, so you can adjust it to your liking with the ketchup provided. It's just the right amount for your stomach. The flight attendant will deliver it to your seat hot.
・Ham and cheese sandwich 1200 yen
Lettuce, tomato, ham, cheese, and pickles are sandwiched between whole wheat bread. It's Gold Mill, and is delicious even if you eat it as is. The balance of the slightly sweet bread, the crunchy texture of the lettuce, and the saltiness of the cheese and ham is just right.
▼Airport lounge purchase
There is a lounge operated by LCC at Gimhae International Airport. Generally, you can use it for free if you have a Priority Pass and an airline ticket. You can use it by paying 2500 yen in advance as an additional service on the official website.
I really like this airline, and the additional services you can enjoy are also attractive.

We had tea at the Annex GRAND MEMBERS LOUNGE [Rokko] before boarding the plane! And then we arrived in Bangkok.
#airportlounge #lcc #bangkoktrip
At the lounge, Annex Rokko at Kansai International Airport, there were only rice crackers and cookies, so I ate rice crackers and had tea (there was a variety of drinks at the drink bar, but of course there was no alcohol) while waiting for the announcement.
As I headed to the gate and waited for my turn, I took lots of pictures of the AirAsia aircraft.
I like planes, and I've only ever flown with Peach among LCCs, but Peach's Bink aircraft are cute, and AirAsia's aircraft are also red and white, so I was very happy.
The cabin was still small, but that wasn't a problem, and the female AirAsia flight attendants didn't have their hair tied up in a bun, so they had long hair and looked pretty and cool.
The male flight attendants were tall and very handsome.
There was a wide variety of food, and I was surprised at how delicious the tapioca milk tea was.
They had typical Thai food menus and sandwiches, and it was cheap. Snacks and drinks are also available.
However, you can't watch movies or anything like that, so it might be a good idea to download them to your computer or smartphone first.
After a little less than five hours, I finally arrived in Bangkok.
Just like Peach, I got off the stairs and boarded the bus...and took a picture before that.
I arrived at Bangkok International Airport.
AirAsia's aircraft were cute, with the company logo in round letters.
The service on board was polite and very pleasant.
I'll be flying on them again on my way back, but for my next trip, I think that for short distances like Thailand, an LCC would be totally fine.
Now, I'm off to enjoy sightseeing in Bangkok for the first time in a while.

The journey to boarding "JAL" at Kansai Airport Domestic Terminal 1
This is an introduction to Kansai Airport Domestic Terminal 1. I used JAL, so I followed the rules for JAL domestic flights.
Airport name: Kansai International Airport
Location: Senshu Airport Kita 1, Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture
Access: Train, bus, car (paid parking available), high-speed boat, taxi
When you arrive at Kansai Airport, head to the second floor first. From any entrance, turn right, and on the right end of the second floor facing Kansai Airport, you will find the automatic check-in counter and the "security checkpoint."
You must pass through security 20 minutes before departure. During busy periods at certain airports, there was a 1-hour wait at this security checkpoint.
After passing through security, please arrive at the boarding gate 10 minutes before departure. At Kansai Airport, after passing security, there is the fifth corridor in the photo, so if you are too close, you will have to dash.
It's important to have plenty of time!!
There are souvenir shops, toilets, restaurants (they have takoyaki), etc. Please check your boarding gate and boarding time before shopping or relaxing😊
⭐︎The ninth photo is a compilation of illustrations found in the second floor lobby in front of the security checkpoint, and all over the corridor. If you have time, please check them out! They were beautiful😊

We need a quick meal before boarding, this is the place to be. The attraction was the fresh wasabi. This restaurant serves Soba with a freshly grounded wasabi. We have to grind the wasabi ourselves on a small grinder. Something fun to play with. The price is affordable, the food is good and plenty, great service. It serves 100% halal Japanese food.

Kansai International Airport: Convenient Transfers and Efficient Self-Service for a Comfortable Travel Experience
Kansai International Airport is one of the main international airports in the Kansai region. The airport offers convenient shuttle bus services that easily connect to Osaka city and surrounding major cities. Whether heading to bustling commercial areas like Umeda and Namba, or to historic cultural cities like Kyoto and Nara, there are plenty of bus routes available for travelers. 🚌
At Kansai International Airport, you can also enjoy efficient self-check-in services. Through self-service kiosks, you can quickly complete check-in procedures, avoiding the hassle of waiting in line. This not only improves travel efficiency but also brings more convenience to the airport's operations. ✈️
After taking the shuttle train, you can find this cafe near Gates 13-14 where you can grab a quick bite. There are seats with a view of the runway, making it a great place to enjoy the atmosphere.
When you get off at the 'Midway Station' of Kansai Airport Terminal 1, there are duty-free shops and places to eat, even though it's small. I discovered this cafe just when I was thinking about having some coffee.
Although it's a cafe, they also serve draft beer and pasta. If you have some time before your flight, you can enjoy a simple meal with pasta and draft beer.
📍Kansai Airport Espresso & Bakery
If you need to take the shuttle train before departing from Osaka Kansai Airport, I highly recommend this place.👍🏼
Don't worry about finding food after taking the shuttle train to the departure gate. There are places to eat here, so visit the cafe after your transfer.
Most importantly, they have iced Americano, which is great for coffee lovers. It's located after you take the shuttle train from Terminal 1 to the gate. If you're in a hurry, take the shuttle from Terminal 1, grab a bite here, and then head off.

Michelin-Honored Japanese Ramen Shop
Founded in 2005, the Tokyo ramen shop MENSHO has not only received the prestigious Michelin honor but also garnered multiple international accolades, being listed among the top 50 restaurants in Bangkok and San Francisco. Now, you can enjoy their delicious ramen at their branch in Kansai International Airport before boarding your flight. It's truly amazing.
Their homemade wheat noodles exude a rich wheat aroma. The broth, made from chicken, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms, is rich and flavorful, leaving a lasting impression!

Shopping for Snacks at Kansai Airport Duty-Free Shop in Osaka (Shuttle Train Duty-Free Shop)
One of the highlights of shopping at Japanese duty-free shops is definitely buying snacks! :)
After completing the procedures at Kansai Airport in Osaka and entering the duty-free shop, you'll find it quite crowded.
Especially for those boarding after taking the shuttle train, you might worry about the lack of snack duty-free shops, but rest assured, they are there.
Although the size is slightly smaller, they have all the representative snacks, and the checkout process is faster, so I recommend it.
📍Kansai Airport Duty-Free Shop in Osaka
☑️ 8:00 ~ 10:00 (subject to change based on flight schedules)
☑️ The duty-free shop is divided after getting off the shuttle train
☑️ Payment methods: credit card, cash, ICOCA card

Kansai International Airport Observation Hall
A hidden gem where you can get a panoramic view of the arrivals and departures of planes at Kansai International Airport (KIX). Although many people pass through KIX, not many travelers stop by here. This might be because you need to take a bus from the passenger terminal, and you need to have some extra time to enjoy it. If you do have some time to spare, definitely check it out. It's a must-visit spot for airplane enthusiasts. There are shops selling a variety of airline goods, places where you can grab a light meal or drink, and a view that you won't get tired of even after watching for a long time. A free bus runs from the first passenger terminal and takes less than 10 minutes to get there. Surprisingly, it's also popular with couples! The secret to its popularity? Go and find out for yourself! (LOL)

Finally arrived at KIX
Touched down at Kansai Airport after a 3-hour flight from Manila. Being here for the 2nd time - you know damn well how I miss this place.
Once I got here, I went straight away to the JR office to redeem the Takayama-Hokuriku Pass (bought it online through their website) and then took the train (Haruka one where got the Hello Kitty theme) to Kyoto.

Kansai International Airport
#thingstodo One of the busiest airport in Japan, the staff are friendly. The airport isn't as huge compared to other international airport. You might want to buy your food first at the Lawson convenience store after check in and please arrive 3-4hours in advance. The security check points take us 1.5hour and the queue is insanely long. No time to go for window shopping inside the departure hall as we left only 1hour before our STD.

Japan guide: Read this article to learn all about cherry blossom viewing and entertainment.
✨【Kansai Cherry Blossom Tour】🌸🦌
🌸 From March to April, I plan to go to the Kansai region of Japan to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms! I have prepared a charming itinerary guide for you, so that you can fully enjoy this spring treasure. Not only can you enjoy the dazzling cherry blossom scenery in Kansai from beginning to end, but you also have the opportunity to get close to the cute deer in Nara🦌 and feel the strong artistic atmosphere in the Mixiu Art Museum. In addition, you can freely taste the aroma of matcha and the luxurious experience of staying in a private hot spring hotel. The 6 days and 5 nights trip is undoubtedly an all-inclusive hardcore experience! I won’t tell you who is so happy with this VIP-style treatment😝
✨【Highlights of Attractions】🌸📷
Next to the abandoned inclined railway, pink cherry blossoms adorn this anime-like scene. This place appeared in the movie "Detective Conan: Labyrinth and Crossroads" and was the railway journey that Conan and Hattori Heiji experienced together. Due to the large number of local tourists, you must arrive early to take photos of Meimei! 🌸📷
The art museum designed by I.M. Pei was inspired by "Peach Blossom Spring". The road leading to the main hall is a cherry blossom forest. The falling cherry blossoms form a sharp contrast with the tunnel made of metal materials, which has a unique charm! 🌸🚇
Famous for the cuteness of Nara's deer, there are about 1,700 cherry blossom trees planted in the park, with a long viewing period. The deer and the cherry blossoms flying in the sky complement each other! Who can miss such a dreamy scene! 🌸🦌
Mount Yoshino is located in the center of Nara Prefecture and has been a famous flower spot in Japan since ancient times! There are more than 30,000 cherry blossoms planted on the entire mountain, with more than 200 varieties. There are few places where the cherry blossoms can rival those of Mount Yoshino! In addition, there is an ancient cable car here, which allows you to overlook the cherry blossoms from the bottom of the mountain. It is very shocking! 🌸🚡
